I can't pass up an opportunity for a Fire/Grass poke; and since fire is obviously not going to win I'm voting grass.

A grass/fire with flash fire would be very cool (or with chlorophyll but that would be a bit too good) and would make sense; and if nothing else grass/fire will have a great looking sprite. --TAY

Grass is fine with me. Grass/ghost is a hideous combination. Who want's something weak to fire, ice and dark attacks. Think of all the weaknesses celebi has.
 
Voted for Ghost because I want a Ghost/Fighting. (:

Celebi has that 4x weak to bug that lets Heracross shit all over her. But I agree with you, combining pursuit weakness with a weakness to two common attack type (with fire attacks on the rise) -- that's not good. But, I think it's a little better than Celebi. I posted a similar concern to this in an earlier thread, but in reflection I think I was a little too harsh. Ghost/Grass has no 4x weaknesses and gets two immunities. That alone, makes it better than Grass/Psychic. Plus, Ghost is a better attacking type than Psychic.

You can't always think on the negative side. Look at Celebi's resistances. Tell me those are bad. EQ resistance, normal immunity, water resistance, fighting immunity, All come with Grass/Ghost. Surely your not telling me those are bad. (Those are what come to my mind at first, I'm pretty sure there's more).

i dont consider him one, but yes he is one.
my only problem with him is his speed and his weaknesses. mainly the one to flying. and how he has one viable set, so you can pretty much tell what he is going to do.
plus, his best reliable stab have BP of 75, with STAB, thats some number thats too complicated for me to figure out. and then he has seed bomb, BP 80. not what im looking for.
one with 100+ attack and leaf blade would be a lot better.

good point though, i had forgotten about him.

It definately has some things going for it but I'd still rather see something else. Pursuit was the biggest turn off for me. Grass/ghost is just so unappealing.
 
A Grass/fire would be groudon's best pal if it got Clorophyll and good attacking stats and the enough speed to make it worthy for use

stabbed fire moves in the sun with a stabbed one turn solar beam

or forgo solar beam and use normal stabbed grass moves to wipe out Kyorge if it comes to rain on your day.
 
Hm... I should vote now. Grass it is.

As many Grass-types as there are, it is an easier concept to work with. Grass/Fire + Grass/Electric are amazing to design for. Grass/Ghost would be the party pleaser. Ghost is just limited because Pokemon can't do Zombies + Skeletons. Some people thought Syclant was un-Pokemonish, wait until you see the concept art for Ghost/Fight or Ghost/Steel.

I have to agree, if Grass wins no matter what the second type I look forward to seeing the concept art.

I wanted to put in my vote to what ever would oppose Ghost. I wanted it to be Grass, so it's even better. Last time I voted Ground, making my vote worthless.

Because of DeckKnight's post in the first thread on how broken a Grass/Dragon Tropius evo would be. Face it, Dragons change the metagame a lot, if we start adding them this early, it won't be good.


Edit:

Since Grass and Ghost are so close, do you guys want a third poll or are you willing to take the winner of this one? I don't care, it slows us down and probably won't get us anywhere. Yah, its so close, it depends who get the last vote in and will most likely be the same for the next poll.

And who sees a Grass/Fire or a Grass/Ghost coming our way?
 
I voted Fire as i want to see a Ghost/Fire type. I really can't picture what a Ghost/Grass type would look like at this stage, except for a zombie version of a plant or something
 
i want dark or fire but they will not win so i vote grass cos we have enough ghosts and grass will look cool.

hopeing for electric/grass
weak to: fire, ice, poison, bug
resists: electric, water, steel, grass,
nutral to: everything else

not bad fire and ice are anoying but with thick fat (joke) it would be fine.

or grass/fire

weak to: rock, poison, flying
resists: electric, grass (x4), steel
nutral to: everything else

thats a good type defencively, only 3 weaks and 2 of them (poiso, flying) are almost never used
 
Lol Eric, what do you think all the Grass people want. Of course... all the Ghost people are going to vote Grass/Ghost if Grass wins.

Still, should we do another poll because of how close it is?

edit: i wonder what ghost/grass would look like defencively? lets see

immune: fight, normal
resists: water, electric, grass, ground.
weak to: fire, ice, flying, ghost, dark.

lots of weaks but also lots of resistences and immuneitys it would be an interesting type, but not very good.
 
That's what I was thinking. This poll ends tonight (it was a one day too), so it would be the same length as if I made this a two day poll.
