Pet Mod [Gen 1] FutureProofing (Complete)

Voting is now over, so let's see what we've got!
Dark
Hydreigon - 3 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 20

Pokemon: Hydreigon
Category: Dark

Stats:
82/105/90/125/98 (500 BST)
New Moves: Sludge, Strange Steam, Recover
Removed Moves: Fire Spin, Snarl
Justification: Big stats neutral-hit taker and giver. Recover takes Hydreigon to a shitmon to something that can trade blows with a fair amount of OU. Thunder Wave and Recover are probably mandatory, so the last 2 moveslots will be devoted to trying to get decent damage out of this thing. Fire Blast+Earthquake sounds ok enough, while stuff like Strange Steam, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, and Hydro Pump could all be ok in the right matchup. Reflect is also there! It is a Poison, though, so most Psychics should be able to take it out with little issue (Eggy and Jynx are both slower and sort of fear Hydreigon's offensive profile though), and it does nothing to Chansey.

Stats
: 70 / 130 / 110 / 55 / 65 (430 BST)
New Moves: Pin Missile, Twineedle, Low Kick, Submission, Reflect, Steel Wing
Removed Moves: Swords Dance
Justification: bulky fighting. attempts to break down the normal-psychic core though requires paralysis support to do so.
WHIMSICOTT!!!

New Moves: Petal Dance, Ember, Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Poison Gas (lol, lmao)
Removed Moves: Later Gens
Competitive Overview: Fast Status is essentially prankster, grass fire serves as unique coverage and defense, funny weed reference is funny. Ultimately, what more can you ask for in a sub?

Stats: 70 / 110 / 80 / 55 / 105
New Moves: N/A
Removed Moves: N/A
Competitive Overview: good stats, but looks like a pu mon tbh

Note, anaconja removed Swords Dance from their Scizor sub, but since Scyther learns it, Scizor also has to learn it. This is on me for not catching it earlier, so, to still keep the sub as anaconja intended without having to remove Swords Dance from Scyther, Scizor + Swords Dance will be complex banned. In the future, I'll try to catch cases like so that subs can be adjusted to account for the moves they wanted to remove

Now, we'll have a another 24 hour discussion phase as I get these coded!

See you tomorrow!

:Whimsicott: Id keep an eye on this mon fast fire spin mon that can hit rock and water types with stab razor leafs. Could be a very scary offensive pivot if played correctly its downfall is fire spin accuracy and general frailness otherwise i can see this mon being a big threat.
:hydreigon: big stats with an unfortunate typing. However, it does have a pretty good movepool with recovery and twave really standing out here. It can spread paralysis really well and it even has hydro pump to hit rhydon whose immune to twave. Its high attack stat means it can pick off weakened pokemon with hyper beams. But as a sad before its typing leaves it not only weak to the ever present psychic and ground type moves but also ice type coverage as well. definitely an interesting mon look forward to testing it.
:scizor: At first glance it looks like a worse machamp. however. unlike machamp it has a secondary stab that can bypass paralyzed psychics in bug. With paralysis support this pokemon could be a real threat. Still for psychics, scizor needs a bit of chip before twineedle can ko them. It also outspeeds snorlax and chansey threatening to do major damage to both of them especially when they are paralyzed as it can paraflinch them with low kick. Submission is another option but the recoil is undesirable especially against chansey for reference it takes up to 48.6% max in recoil damage from submission hitting chansey. This has potential as a fighting type in ou that can threaten psychics which is a pretty unique niche.

Scizor's viability may vary a lot based on what new STABs it gets. If it gets a good fighting move that let's it reliably 2HKO the big 3, and OHKO after a SD, then it might make it such that it isn't worth stacking a plethora of fighting weak mons. It's STABs hit all the best Physically bulky mons Super Effectively, (save I guess Zapdos, Dragonite and Escavalier), and gets both SD and Agility, so if it gets the right tools and support it could be very oppressive.
Edit: So I guess Scizor not treated as part of Scyther's evolutionary line here? In order to not learn SD it would have to be.

Alright, before we start Slate 4, we've got a couple quick changes to make!

:scizor:Scizor is in a weird situation where it's supposed to not learn Swords Dance because that's what anaconja put in their sub, but it has to learn it because Scyther does. Right now, Scizor + Swords Dance is complex banned, but after some discussion, we've decided to legalize Scizor + Swords Dance and remove Low Kick. This removes Scizor's potential to cheese past all its checks with Agility + Low Kick but allows it to have all the moves its supposed to have and still be a very good mon.
:whimsicott:Whimsicott will lose Fire Spin. You can honestly just watch this replay to understand why, but it's basically way too easy to pivot with and it threatens all counterplay to Fire Spin with STAB Razor Leaf. This is a huge nerf to Whimsi, but its Speed tier and offensive profile + Stun Spore is still really cool, so hopefully it doesn't fall off the map
:escavalier:Escavalier will gain Swords Dance back. Since Tyranitar was added in the same slate as it and even the existing Rhydon outclasses it a bit, Swords Dance give you a bit more of a reason to use it. It's still pretty bad as is, but now it's a fair bit better

I'm also thinking of buffing Strange Steam because its effect is actually doesn't work at all in Gen 1, but I haven't landed on any ideas yet.

Also, I encourage to help us playtest the meta, which you can play here, to help me find anything else that may be concerning, like Fire Spin Whimsicott was in that replay!

With that, let's start Slate 4!

- Move Slate 2 -
Rules
- During Move slates, you will sub any future generation Dark, Steel, or Fairy-type move and adapt it into a Gen 1 environment by changing its typing, effect, base power, and distribution (note that the moves' final distribution is ultimately decided by council)
- You will be allowed to sub 1 Dark move, 1 Steel move, and 1 Fairy move during Move slates, which one of each being added to the metagame at the end of the slate. You don't have to specify categories like in Pokémon slates because moves can only have 1 type anyway
- Note that type categories are decided by type in Gen 1. Normal, Fighting, Flying, Ground, Bug, Poison, Ghost, and Rock are Physical, while Grass, Fire, Water, Psychic, Dragon, Electric, and Ice are Special.
- When adapting moves, try to keep the feel of the original but be sure to stay within the limits of Gen 1, so you cannot add any new major mechanics with the moves you're adding (i.e. If you subbed Ceaseless Edge, you couldn't make it set Spikes because Spikes don't exist in Gen 1. Instead, you could give the move a poison chance or make it a partial trapping move). If you add a more minor mechanic (i.e. if you made Ceaseless Edge deal a little damage for a few turns after use but not as a trapping move), it may be allowed, but that is up to the council's discretion
- Moves from Legends: Arceus are allowed to be subbed (this applies to Pokémon as well). This means that you can submit Ceaseless Edge, Springtide Storm, and Shelter during move slates
- Submissions for Move slates last 5 days, with 1 day of voting and 1 day of a discussion phase
- Voting works the same as it does for Pokémon slates (which are now Ranked Votes, I'll update the OP in a bit)
Move: (Name of the slate move you're adapting)
Type: (New type of the move)
Power: (Base Power of the move)
Accuracy: (The Accuracy of the move, a multiple of 5 between 30% and 100%. Put -- if it has perfect accuracy or doesn't have an accuracy check)
PP: (Power Points of the move. Must be a multiple of 5)
Effect: (Any effects of the move, like secondary effects, or inherent effects like Counter's.)
Distribution: (Possible distribution of the move. Remember that council can add or remove Pokemon from your list if your sub wins)
Justification: (A brief competitive description of the move you're submitting, what it does in the metagame, how it buffs the Pokemon you're giving to, and why you think it should be added.)

Move: Knock Off
Type:
Normal.png

Power: 65
Accuracy: 100
PP: 20
Effect: Deals 1.5x damage if the target is statused. Removes their status condition.
Distribution::persian::lickitung::dodrio::clefable::wigglytuff::raticate::beedrill::dewgong::golduck::hitmonlee::kingler::machamp::sandslash:
Justification: Neat option to abuse how common status conditions are in RBY and allow you to remove unwanted status conditions a la Haze, like un-paralyzing a Chansey so you can try to freeze it later. Does have the downside of allowing your opponent to undo your progress if they play around it well, though, and it competes with generally good move Body Slam

Submission will end in 5 days

Move: Let's Snuggle Forever
Type: Normal
Power: 20
PP: 16
Effect: Cures the party's status conditions
Distribution: :clefairy: :jigglypuff::lickitung: :seel: :oddish: :paras::hitmonchan::tangela::nidoran-f:
Justification: An incredibly powerful move in RBY given the prevalence of Thunder Wave and freeze fishing (with Dewgong even being immune to freeze!). Slotting one of these on your team would be a big help in the right structure. This is literally the only way you can remove freeze, so if you want freeze to no longer be a KO, vote for this!

Move: Brutal Swing
Type: Dragon
Power: 90
PP: 24
Effect: Locks the user in for 2-3 turns and then confuses.
Distribution: :dragonite: :charizard: :gyarados: :seadra::hydreigon:
Justification: yes, it's just Outrage. However, Dragon STAB is unresisted this gen, which means Dragonite (and other STAB users of this move) get one move coverage for the whole meta. The forced confusion and the lock-in act as different kinds of drawback from just clicking the move forever, which I think is neat from a creative point of view.

Move: Metal Sound
Type: Electric
Power: --
PP: 32
Effect: Lowers foe's special 2 stages
Distribution: :kabuto: :magnemite: :onix: :porygon: :voltorb::geodude:
Justification: Reverse Amnesia is pretty cool for a survivability and damage perspective (unless you're Onix).

Move: Nature's Madness
Type: Grass
Power: -
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 16
Effect: Deals damage to the target equal to half of its current HP, rounded down, but not less than 1 HP.
Distribution: TBD
Justification: grass types lack strong stab moves outside of razor leaf this should help with that.

Move: Night Slash
Type: Bug
Power: 55
Accuracy: 95
PP: 25
Effect: High critical-hit ratio.
Distribution: :beedrill: :sandslash: :parasect: :dugtrio: :persian: :primeape: :farfetchd: :kingler: :scyther: :scizor: :pinsir: :kabutops: :escavalier:
Justification: Hey look, an actual Bug move! Gives these Pokémon, particularly the fast ones, a strong weapon against the prominent Psychics. Probably also helps differentiate Scyther and Scizor more with the crit rate.

Move: Anchor Shot
Type: Water
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
PP: 15
Effect: 30% chance to paralyze the target.
Distribution: :blastoise: :golduck: :poliwrath: :tentacruel: :kingler: :omastar:
Justification: Water-type Body Slam gives these lower-tier Water-types something to differentiate themselves from the big dogs, specifically their ability to paralyze Normal-types like Tauros and Chansey.

Move: Moonlight
Type: Normal
Power: --
Accuracy: --
PP: 5
Effect: Heals the user by 50% of its max HP.
Distribution: :butterfree: :clefable: :wigglytuff: :golbat: :vileplume: :venomoth: :muk: :hypno:
Justification: With recovery options being highly limited but very strong in gen 1, Moonlight gives this array of weaker Pokémon a new lease on life. Its more limited PP compared to Recover makes it easier to handle without being overwhelming.

Move: Disarming voice
Type: Bug
Power: 60
Accuracy: -
PP: 20
Effect: Can't miss.
Distribution: :beedrill: :butterfree: :parasect: :pinsir: :scyther: :scizor: :venomoth: :raticate: :persian: :golbat: :wigglytuff: :clefable: :raichu:
Justification: Bug type swift, probably better than night slash for slow mons and/or SD sets.

Move: Bullet Punch
Type: Fighting
Power: 40
Accuracy: 100
PP: 30
Effect: Priority.
Distribution: :primeape: :machamp: :hitmonlee: :hitmonchan: :poliwrath: :scizor:
Justification: Fighting deserves its own quick attack.

Move: Dark Pulse
Type: Ghost
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
PP: 15
Effect: 20% chance to make the target flinch
Distribution: :gengar: :arbok: :persian: :gyarados: :Hypno:
Justification: A good Ghost move that takes advantage of Gengar's incredible speed.

Move: Payback
Type:

Power: 60
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 10
Effect: Deals 1.5x damage if the user moves after the target or the target switches
Distribution::machamp::gardevoir::poliwrath::hitmonlee::hitmonchan::primeape::escavalier::pinsir::farfetchd::lickitung:
Justification: Consistent Fighting STAB sub #37. Most Fighting-types are slow, so you can usually get a consistent 90 BP drawbackless STAB with Payback, especially if you get paralyzed by the Chansey you just tried to switch into or even if you get a free switch into it and it has to switch out

Move: Gear Up
Type:
Electric.png

Power: --
Accuracy: --
PP: 20
Effect: Raises the user's Attack and Special by 1 stage
Distribution::magneton::electabuzz::raichu:
Justification: Resubbing Gear Up until I find something better

Move: Draining Kiss
Type:
Grass.png

Power: 75
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 10
Effect: Heals the user by 50% of the damage dealt
Distribution::tangela::parasect::vileplume::golbat::butterfree::venomoth::gardevoir::wigglytuff:
Justification: Giga Drain!!!! Serves as Grass STAB for all 3 Grass-types that lack Razor Leaf (eggy doesn't need the help), still significantly weaker than Razor Leaf unless it crits but with a very helpful effect.

Move: Foul Play
Type:
Poison.png

Power: 95
PP: 24
Effect: 10% chance to lower target's attack 1 stage.
Distribution::Hydreigon::Victreebel::Beedrill::tentacruel::Nidoking::Nidoqueen::venusaur::gengar::raticate::Arbok::weezing::muk::golbat::Hypno:
Justification: Poison Type T-Bolt. Powerful enough that even Beedrill can guaranteed 2HKO Eggy (and Gengar has 20% chance). SD Victreebel trades away 5% of Hyper Beam's power for no drawbacks.

Move: Dazzling Gleam
Type:
Bug.png

Power: 70
PP: 24
Effect: 10% Chance to confuse the target.
Distribution::Pinsir::Butterfree::Beedrill::Venomoth::Parasect::Porygon::eevee::flareon::vaporeon::Jolteon::Gengar::Clefable::Gardevoir::hypno::Mew::Hydreigon:(maybe:Scyther::Scizor:)
Justification: Signal Beam. Giving Bugs a relatively high powered STAB, but also spreading around some Bug coverage. Jolteon and Gengar have a 27.1% chance to 2HKO Exeggutor, Gardevoir can 2HKO Zam, Eggy & Jynx. Pinsir has chances to OHKO those targets, (guarantied on Eggy), and will OHKO Starmie at +2. I'm a little scared to give it to Scizor bc of agility allowing it to outpace the Psychics that otherwise threaten it, I don't want to give it a potential OHKO against them.

Resubbing this with a small BP nerf.
Move: Iron Head
Type:
Fighting.png

Power: 70
Accuracy: 100
PP: 8
Effect: Removes Reflect and Light Screen from foe before damage calculation.
Distribution::Scyther::scizor::machamp::primeape::poliwrath::gardevoir::marowak::rhydon::onix::golem::aerodactyl::dragonite::Hydreigon::gyarados::lapras::blastoise::mew:
Justification: Sometimes you have to use your head to think thru your strategy, find your win conditions, and form a plan that will maximize your odds of victory. Other times, you just have to repeatedly smash your head into a brick wall until it breaks. This gives a more reliable STAB for the various fighting types, with slightly lower Power but 100 Accuracy and no recoil, and it lets the various rock types have a move that lets them beat down on the normal types they're supposed to wall.
:machamp: Iron Head vs. :Chansey: 496-584 (70.5 - 83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
:scizor: Iron Head vs. :Snorlax: 236-278 (45.1 - 53.1%) -- 31.2% chance to 2HKO
:machamp: Iron Head vs. :Rhydon: 163-192 (39.4 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
:scizor: Iron Head vs. :Cloyster: 119-140 (39.2 - 46.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
:machamp: Iron Head vs. :Tauros: 188-222 (53.2 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
:Gardevoir: Iron Head vs. :Chansey: 403-474 (57.3 - 67.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
:Poliwrath: Iron Head vs. :Snorlax: 194-228 (37 - 43.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
:Gardevoir: Iron Head vs. :Rhydon: 132-156 (31.9 - 37.7%) -- 94.2% chance to 3HKO
:Poliwrath: Iron Head vs. :Cloyster: 98-116 (32.3 - 38.2%) -- 98.1% chance to 3HKO
:Gardevoir: Iron Head vs. :Tauros: 153-180 (43.3 - 50.9%) -- 3.5% chance to 2HKO
:Rhydon: Iron Head vs. :Chansey: 331-390 (47 - 55.4%) -- 76.2% chance to 2HKO
:Rhydon: Iron Head vs. :Snorlax: 158-186 (30.2 - 35.5%) -- 30.8% chance to 3HKO
:Rhydon: Iron Head vs. :Tauros: 125-148 (35.4 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
So everything I tested can 2HKO Chancy, but only Machamp and Scizor can 2HKO Tauros without lucky high rolls/crits, altho even they cannot say the same about Cloyster and Rhydon. Poliwrath improves its matchup vs Cloyster, as it wont be chipping itself into Explosion range with Submission recoil, and is nearly never going to miss Iron Head. Rhydon does less damage to normals with Iron Head than STAB EQ, unless they are behind reflect.

Move: Fake Tears
Type: Normal
Power: ---
Acc: 100%
PP: 20 (32)
Effect: Lowers the target's Spc by 2.
Distribution: :clefairy::clefable::eevee::vaporeon::jolteon::flareon::jynx::wigglytuff::gastly::haunter::gengar::mew:
Justification: How well would a reverse Amnesia work? This forces switches on foes or they get hammered with special attacks while nerfing their own special moves.

Move: Smart Strike
Type: Rock
Power: 70
Acc: ---%
PP: 10 (16)
Effect: Can't miss.
Distribution: :nidoran-m::nidorino::nidoking::cloyster::seel::dewgong::escavalier::lapras::rapidash::rhyhorn::rhydon::goldeen::seaking::tauros::onix::aerodactyl::mew:
Justification: Smart Strike is Rock Slide but can't miss in exchange for less power. Smart Strike also competes with Snarl but has more bp in exchange for not nerfing Spc.

Move: Draining Kiss
Type: Psychic
Power: 65
Acc: 100%
PP: 10 (16)
Effect: Heals the user by 75% of the damage delt.
Distribution: :butterfree::clefairy::clefable::ralts::kirlia::gardevoir::jynx::lapras::raichu::wigglytuff::mew:
Justification: An alternative to Psychic that deals a lot less damage in exchange for lots of recovery.

About 22 hours left before voting!

Like the last move slate, there are no veto warnings this slate and none of the subs are inherently broken (the Let's Snuggle Forever sub gets close, but after a ton of discussion on Discord it's been determined to be okay with the given distribution), though I will note that a lot of moves subbed this slate would likely have their proposed distributions reduced

Only thing to note is this
Move: Feint Attack
Type: Bug
Power: 60
Accuracy: -
PP: 20
Effect: Can't miss.
Distribution: :beedrill: :butterfree: :parasect: :pinsir: :scyther: :scizor: :venomoth: :raticate: :persian: :golbat: :arbok:
Justification: Bug type swift, probably better than night slash for slow mons and/or SD sets.

Accuracy: 100
PP: 30
Effect: Priority.
Distribution: :primeape: :machamp: :hitmonlee: :hitmonchan: :poliwrath: :scizor:
Justification: Fighting deserves its own quick attack.

Move: Dark Pulse
Type: Ghost
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
PP: 15
Effect: 20% chance to make the target flinch
Distribution: :gengar: :arbok: :persian: :gyarados: :Hypno:
Justification: A good Ghost move that takes advantage of Gengar's incredible speed.
All of these subs are perfectly fine, the only issue is that you have to sub 1 Dark, 1 Steel, and 1 Fairy move, so you can't sub both Dark Pulse and Faint Attack as they were both Dark moves. The easiest way to fix this would probably be to just rename Feint Attack to Disarming Voice, since it has the same effect and still fits the Bug-type

Oh fuck, my bad, i'm not that familiar with fairy moves.

Oh fuck, my bad, i'm not that familiar with fairy moves.
All good, you've still got time to fix it

Also for everyone else, forgot to say this earlier, but as always, subs are still open for the next 8 hours, so be sure to get any last second submissions in!

Voting starts now!

Just like Pokémon slates, we will have a ranked vote for each category, meaning that each submission you vote for receives points based on how you rank them. The submission with the most points in each category will be added to the metagame.

You may vote for up to 3 subs in each category. You may vote for your own sub in each category, but you can't vote for it in first place or as your only vote. If multiple people submitted the same move in the same category, please specify the submission you're voting for by putting the submitter's username next to it

Voting Example
If you vote for 3 Move
Dark
Move A - Gets 3 points
Move B - Gets 2 points
Move C - Gets 1 point

If you vote for 2 Move
Dark
Move A - Gets 2 points
Move B - Gets 1 point

If you vote for 1 Move
Dark
Move A - Gets 1 point
Dark
Dark Move A
Dark Move B
Dark Move C

Steel
Steel Move A
Steel Move B
Steel Move C

Fairy
Fairy Move A
Fairy Move B
Fairy Move C

For each category, you may vote for 3 submissions. You may vote for your own submission in every category, but if can't be your only vote in that category or you're first place vote. For example:
Dark
Move A (SV)

Would be an illegal ballot, but

Dark
Move B
Move A (SV)
Move C

Would be legal

Each Move you vote for in each category also has to be in the same category, so the following would be illegal
Dark
Dark Move A (SV)
Fairy Move B
Steel Move C

But this would be legal
Dark
Dark Move A (SV)
Dark Move B
Dark Move C
No submissions are vetoed this slate, so any sub can be voted for

Voting will end in 24 hours

Power: --
Accuracy: --
PP: 20
Effect: Raises the user's Attack and Special by 1 stage
Distribution::magneton::electabuzz::raichu:
Justification: Resubbing Gear Up until I find something better

PP: 16
Effect: Deals damage to the target equal to half of its current HP, rounded down, but not less than 1 HP.

Justification: grass types lack strong stab moves outside of razor leaf this should help with that.

Like last time, this 24 Hour Discussion Phase will help me finalize the distributions of each of the new moves. Then, the next Pokémon slate will start (with a couple announcements)!

See you then!

The 24 hours are up, so here's the final distributions of the new moves we got!

Fake Tears - :clefairy::Clefable::jigglypuff::Wigglytuff::Onix::Magmar::kabuto::Kabutops::horsea::Seadra::meowth::Persian::Mew::jynx::gaslty::haunter::gengar:
Gear Up - :pikachu::raichu::electabuzz::voltorb::electrode::magnemite::magneton:
Nature's Madness - :tangela::vileplume::parasect::mr. mime:

Now before the third Pokemon slate can start, I have 1 quick announcement: The number of Move slates we have will be significantly reduced. Multiple people have told me that Move slates are a much more boring aspect to the mod than Pokemon slates and I'm extremely inclined to agree, as I personally have way more fun with Pokemon slates and Move slates are much more limited. Thus, the number of Move slates we'll have will be reduced to 4 or 5 instead of the originally planned 10. The number of Pokemon slates may also be reduced from the planned 10, but I'm still thinking about that.

With that out of the way, it's time for the next Pokemon slate!

-------------------------------------------------

- Pokémon Slate 3 -

This slate is a Pokemon Slate, where you can add any future gen Dark, Steel, and Fairy-type Pokémon to the metagame!
Rules (Also on the OP)
- During Pokemon slates, you will sub any future generation Dark, Steel, or Fairy-type Pokemon and adapt it into a Gen 1 environment by changing their typing, stats, and movepool.
- You are allowed to sub 1 Pokemon of each type during the slate. You must specify which voting category your Pokemon fits into (as denoted on the submission template below), which covers for cases like Bisharp or Grimmsnarl, who have multiple future typings.
- When subbing Pokemon, you will change their typing (obviously), as well as their stats and movepools. Movepools are based on their current generation movepools, automatically including any move they learn that exists in Gen 1 + any moves added to the mod through Move Slates that they already learn (keep this in mind if you sub anything that learns Snarl, Steel Wing, or Strange Steam).
- Pokemon subs can be vetoed if they are broken, so try to stay in OU's power level. This especially important for Slate 1 as we don't want to change the power level of the metagame that much so early.
- Eligible Pokemon from Legends: Arceus can be submitted, including Qwilfish-Hisui, Overqwil, Sliggo-Hisui, Goodra-Hisui, and Enamorus.
- Future Gen Pokemon who have a Mega Evolution that give them one of the eligible types are allowed to be subbed as their base form. This allows you to sub Altaria and Audino as Fairies.
- To decide what gets added to the metagame, we'll use a non-ranked vote. Whichever sub gets the most votes in each category will win and get added to the metagame, giving us ~3 new Pokemon each slate and ~30 new Pokemon throughout the mod.
- Any prevolutions of the Pokemon you sub that win will automatically be added. Their stats, typing, and movepools will be decided by council based on your winning sub, so you do not have to include these with your submission.
- Submissions for Pokemon slates last 5 days, with 1 day of voting and 1 day of a discussion phase

Pokémon: (The name of the Pokemon you're submitting. It must be an existing Pokemon from a future generation)
Category: (The category you're submitting to, being either Dark, Steel, or Fairy. It must be one of the typings it has in the current generation)
New Type: (The type of the Pokemon you're submitting. You can only use the types that exist in Gen 1)
Stats: (The stats of the Pokemon. Remember that Gen 1 only has 5 stats because Special Attack and Special Defense are the same stat.)
New Moves: (Any new moves you're giving to the Pokemon you're submitting. Remember that the Pokemon's base movepoll is based on what moves it currently learns that exist in Gen 1)
Removed Moves: (Any moves you're removing from the Pokemon's base movepool. Remember that the Pokemon's base movepoll is based on what moves it currently learns that exist in Gen 1)
Competitive Overview: (A brief competitive description of the Pokemon you're submitting, what it does in the metagame, and why you think it should be added.)

This will be my last push for Sneasel, after that I’ll actually try to make another Dark Mon regardless of outcome lmao
:bw/Sneasel:
Pokémon: Sneasel
Category: Dark
New Type: Ice
Stats: 55 HP / 85 Atk / 55 Def / 110 Spec / 115 Spe (420 BST)
New Moves: Lick, Night Shade
Removed Moves: Everything from later gens
Competitive Overview: Sneasel was an unfortunate Pokémon ever since it’s conception. It was introduced as a Pokémon with high physical stats directly after the Special split while both its types were Specially offensive. Once stats were no longer tied to move types, it got an evolution. Sneasel never really got a chance to shine, but perhaps it could have if it was made a few years earlier. By removing the Dark type, it is no longer 4x weak to Fighting moves. By combining its Special Attack and Special Defense, it has a very high Special stat only topped by its blinding speed. As for the ability front, the Sneasel line never really had standout abilities, so it’s barely a change for the mon in a vacuum, and maybe even a buff within the mod’s context.

The Steel to Fighting pipeline is real and it’s in your walls
:swsh/corviknight:
Pokémon: Corviknight
Category: Steel
New Type: Flying / Fighting
Stats:
98 HP / 87 Atk / 105 Def / 69 Spc / 67 Spe (426 BST)
New Moves: Submission, Karate Chop, Recover, Teleport, Counter
Removed Moves: Later Gens
Competitive Overview: First I’d like to point out that normal Corv barely uses Steel moves anyway, instead opting for Body Press, which is, as you know, a Fighting move. Other than averaging out the special stats, the stats are unchanged. The typing’s shitty defensively but with Recover and Counter it might find a niche.

Pokemon: Morpeko
Category: Dark
New Typing: Electric/Normal
Stats: 58/95/58/90/97 (BST: 398)
New Moves: Hyper Beam, Ice Punch, Strength
Removed Moves: Later gen moves
Description: Morpeko is a cool pokemon as it can go physical, special, or mixed. It can go SD set-up or Fake Tears Electric/Ice combo. Morpeko has fairly decent attacking stats and speed but is quite frail. Overall dislikes Rocks as they typically stop its stabs (except Ttar) but Ice Beam hits them hard on their Ground-typing (except Ttar).

Pokémon: Sandslash-Alola
Category: Steel
New Type: Ice/Normal
Stats: 100/100/100/35/70 [405, from vanilla Sandslash: +25 HP, -10 Def, -20 Spc, +5 Spe]
New Moves: I built a new one for it using RBY Sandslash's moves. See the hide tag. Avoids future gen privilege and keeps them in parallel.
Removed Moves: See tag
Competitive Overview: What would normally be an awful typing in any other gen actually has a lot of value here! With a Body Slam para immunity and a freeze immunity, Sandslash is able to go toe-to-toe with the big three. Substitute also ensures Chansey cannot SToss it (though Thunderbolt sets will break the sub; Tauros Tbolt also breaks sub 82% of the time, and Body Slam will about half the time; Snorlax Body Slam breaks it 90% of the time). Despite the 35 SpA, it is actually able to 2HKO Rhydon with Blizzard. Its lopsided bulk and speed tier will hold it back, with it being unable to switch into Alakazam, Gengar, Starmie and even Exeggutor. However, I think it certainly can fill an interesting niche in the meta given that it is immune to freeze fishing and body slam para, making it valuable in preventing hax.
Loses Earthquake, Dig, Fissure, Rock Slide, Swords Dance, Slash
Gets Ice Beam, Blizzard, Water Gun, Bubblebeam
Sandslash's RBY movepool for reference
Sandslash-Alola
- Substitute
- Body Slam
- Blizzard
- Hyper Beam

Pokémon: Greninja
Category: Dark
New Type: Water/Poison
Stats: 72 / 85 / 67 / 113 / 122 [459]
New Moves: see tag
Removed Moves: See tag
Competitive Overview: Kinda ridiculous offensive mon that offers minimal defensive value. It deplores paralysis and so can't switch in on much (not to mention Psychic and EQ weaknesses), but breaks holes when it gets in with Hydro/Blizzard. Reliant on Low Kick to break Chansey, which will involve a few Low Kick crits. Sorta like our version of Crythian from Expansion Pack
Blizzard, Bubble, Cut, Dig, Double Team, Growl, Haze, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Lick, Low Kick, Pound, Quick Attack, Rest, Smokescreen, Strength, Substitute, Surf, Toxic, Waterfall, Glare, Sludge
Greninja
- Hydro Pump
- Blizzard
- Low Kick
- Glare

:dedenne:
Pokémon: Dedenne
Category: Fairy
New Type: Electric
Stats: 67 / 58 / 57 / 81 / 101 [364]
New Moves: see tag
Removed Moves: See tag
Competitive Overview: Those awful stats leave a lot to be desired, but Dedenne's access to Super Fang is a big clincher in its fight for viability. With the Gear Up boost, it can combo Super Fang into a lot of KOs with Hyper Beam or Thunderbolt. However, its awful physical bulk means it offers minimal defensive utility (never being able to switch in on Tauros as any hit + HBeam will KO).
Cut, Dig, Double Team, Flash, Rest, Substitute, Super Fang, Tackle, Tail Whip, Thunder, Thunder Punch, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Toxic, Gear Up, Hyper Beam
Dedenne
- Gear Up
- Super Fang
- Hyper Beam
- Thunderbolt
