You know what I hope they put in the music from the Omega Ridley fight from Metroid Prime Corruption, that track got me so amped up while playing to it. What selections would you guys want?

Also, should we have a separate topic on what all our wi-fi codes are in SSBB and compile them onto the first post?
 
for once, i agree with CaptKirby. our expectations werent "too high". sakurai fucked up. clone characters are fine but honestly are some of you (BAN ME PLEASE) trying to justify Fox having two clones?
 
Ewww Wolf! Krystal would have been so much better! Staff > clone. >_> Why do we need him anyway when we have Fox and Falco!?

And they should replace Toon Link and ROB with better characters. ><; They are ugly and not cute/nice/hot/powerful at all. >_>
 
I have to say, even if some clones do play differently (g-dorf, C-falc, Luigi, Mario) there is still NO excuse to make three characters with the same exact moves. I mean they had how many damn years to work on the game? Why the fuck should wolf have the same moveset as Fox and Falco?

I also agree that even though there are less clones this game than last game, clones should not have been in it at all.
 
Kay, I hate that there are clones again. And I know people can "argue" to justify that...

but justify this:

Why eliminate Roy (somewhat clone of Marth), Pichu (obvious clone of Pikachu) and Dr. Mario (obvious clone of Mario) if Sakurai's just going to .. keep some other clones and add two more? (Wolf and Lucas)

Just doesn't add up.

I AM disappointed b/c I was expecting much better. =[

I'm the opposite. Toon Link was the only way I could see Young Link returning with the moveset from Melee.

sakurai revealed all the pimp characters on the site, that's why the hidden roster sucks

Yes it does, he is a separate franchise now, he even got a different icon (not the typical Mushroom, he has a "W").If that was the case Yoshi would also count like a Mario char like in your list, where you forgot Bowser :P.

Lol, couldn't agree more Kira. As much as I wanted Wolf in the game, I honestly didn't think he would be Fox's shadow. On an endnote, who would YOU rather have stay...Falco or Wolf? (Obviously, I'd say Wolf cuz he's so friggin awesome XD!
 
I never really liked Fox/Falco but Wolf does look cooler. Although Falco does have two blasters now, effectively upping his cool factor.

My guess is that if I actually played as them, Falco would be my choice to be out and Wolf would stay in. Or both could have stayed but they should have given wolf a different moveset.

Yes is my whole point, they both count as different franchises, even if they had some roots on Mario...mostly Yoshi, because it's been a while Wario has his games solo (Wario land, wario ware etc).

Toon Link is one of my favorite additions. I had thought of and loved the idea of young Link being reborn in Brawl with a TWW/MC/PH style but wasn't really expecting. I'm glad what I thought was a far fetched guess from a long time ago ended up being right!

The roster is good. It's not great like we expected and not great like it could have and should have been, but it's still good, aside from the existance of R.O.B. and Ganondorf's nonsensical moveset.

Hmm, yeah, I did notice the two blaster intro movie, but does that mean he'll be using to blasters in the game? I haven't seen gameplay of Falco shooting yet. If there is, plz link me to it ^_^! And yes, Wolf should stay..mwahaha!
 
People tend to forget that Young Link is the, umm, "real" Link. I mean, Link was only in Adult form in Ocarina of Time (some of the time) and Twilight Princess. Heck, it should be Link and Adult Link =P

Anyways, Toon Link looks good, even though I would have preferred for him to use some different weapons from WW/PH.

He was also an adult in Majora's Mask when he wore the Fierce Deity's Mask

That's true from a fan perspective, it all began with Ocarina of time Link in the first Smash though. Link as an adult appeared also in Zelda II, when he reaches "manhood" (as said in the manual).

Just look at it this way,

N64- 12 Characters
GCN- 25 Characters
Wii- 35 Characters

FUCKING 10 MORE CHARACTERS. 35 characters, I can count, 5 characters that are clones of originals, that's 30 characters! That's a lot!
 
I've yet to voice my opinion on the roster for some reason, but here it is:

Am I disappointed? Somewhat, yes. 35 characters are fine and all, but I wish they had picked better candidates/made better changes.

-Ganondorf: While we don't officially know if he is a clone yet or not, I still think he deserved a make-over.

-WW Link: He would've been great if they would have actually gave him WW Link's cool items and such. I had no real problem with Y Link in Melee, but I think he deserved to get some cool changes.

-R.O.B.: W/e, I'm over it. Perhaps this spot COULD have been given to someone else more deserving but w/e.

-Wolf: Retarded. Plain and simply retarded. He could have been a Fox costume.

Lucario: Awesome. I didn't want him to replace Mewtwo, but at least he takes some of his moves. On the other hand, that's kind of the cheap way out of making a character >_>

Lucas: COULD have replaced Ness. But whatever.


What I thought was missing? METROID. Where the fuck is Dark Samus or Ridley? StarFox getting 3 clones, but Metroid getting nothing is just bullshit. Those were honestly the only characters I was really hoping for.

All in all, I will still love the game from what I can see. Sure, the roster could be better. I'd like to know Sakurai's motives for sticking in clones rather than choosing the most popular characters.

But I still think it will be the best game I've ever played.
