SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

I wonder if Salt Cure will be affected by Binding Band and Grip Claw. :smogthink:

Does anyone think Mycelium Might will be any good? Avoiding abilities is nice, but I think you'll encounter immunities by typing than by ability. Also, every taunter in the entire world outspeeds you.
assuming RF tentacruel has 100 speed like the original, it honestly sounds like a debuff. would much rather have fast spores over dodging vital spirit ig

Will really depend on how common Magic Bounce will be in whatever tier Toedscruel ends up. Being able to Spore and set up Spikes (if it gets them) without caring about Magic Bounce could be very valuable.

I have several questions about the paradox pokemon. First being, can anybody show the actual ingame description of the paradox item 'boosting power'? I am curious if that item alone gives you any extra increase in damage. My second question is that while the paradox abilities are triggered through harsh sun or e-terrain, can we use further boosting items to further amplify our damage? Like lifeorb or specs? If that's the case then having sun/terrain gives a bigger boost in total since we still have the option of holding an item. And finally my last question, do any of the paradox mons get any signature moves?

Its using any status right? So stat debuffs, or hazards, or weather, or status eflictions all happen no matter what, which seems quite nice. They cant stop any of your setup.

Hell, could this stop encore, or is this just ability?
it specifies ability, so it wouldn't dodge encore. i just can't imagine what abilities you would be trying to dodge, unless there's a specific magic bounce mon you're trying to deal with.

Game Freak has never wanted to give Spore to speedy mon I feel. So now I'm wondering if they gave the Tentashrooms that ability and only that ability to work around doing just that.

I wonder if it's one of those mons with only one ability specifically because of that.

It'd be funny if they gave it a really useless alternate ability like Illuminate, but everyone used it anyway just so they can fire off Base 100 Spores.

Mycelium Might will end up being just -1 priority to all status moves but they can't be avoided/ignored/stopped by any ability.

I don't belive it affects Magic Bounce because it does not avoid the status move, it bounces it back. I belive it works only on things like Overcoat, Oblivious (taunt), etc...

If it works like Mold Breaker but for status, then it should bypass Magic Bounce

Yeah, most abilities that give immunity to various status are either mostly non-competitive (Water Veil, Immunity, Limber, etc) or are pretty uncommon to encounter / unique (like Komala, or the new Coin mon's ability). Magic Bounce and Overcoat are probably the best ones with some distribution.

Edit: I guess since its all status moves, abilities that prevent lowering of stats, or from being taunted/infatuated, could apply as well.

That's the exact thought that hit me today and prompted my question. It might have Tentacruel-like stats, but Spore might be ability-locked behind Mycelium "Might."

Some random bits from Poryleeks on Twitter. Seems to confirm that Battle Bond no longer involves a transformation. I'm guessing "legends and their forms" means the ones from PLA. They also replied to a Twitter comment saying the legendary birds are in + their galarian forms.

*All* the legends? Dialga and Palkia origin are expected (curious if they have any new abils), but I thought Heatran etc weren't in, and I'm very intrigued by the possibility of Legend Plate Arceus in a main series game.
