SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

There's no battle facility this time, so no BPs, thus makes sense that you can get them normally

Also found these, i remind someone was asking

Holy heavens, being able to get Bottle caps for cheap from the beginning is awesome, in SS we had to wait until DLC to farm them with Cramorant and it was a slow process because of the animation (not to mention you had to travel to the other side of the country to even use them).
Please let Ability patches be the same!

EDIT: oh any where are berries? just random items laying on the ground no berry shops?
So far them and certain evo items we've only found on ground...

However there's like 3 million shops that sell food, I don't completely exclude they may be sold somewhere.

Let me stop you right there, you can buy them but they only show up after a sizeable bit of the plot is finished (this save has beaten the 3 main plotlines and well into the postgame stuff).

However yes, you can indeed just buy them.

If the save is in the postgame then I guess its safe to say these are all the available items unlocked. Unless there is some other hidden criteria to unlock the Ability Patch.

Is it possible to use this save to check for Hidden Abilities in Raids? I know it should be obvious that's where they are found, but I haven't seen any solid proof of it so far.

You refuse to believe that they would balance something entirely around BSS/VGC with zero consideration for 6v6?
Can't remember the last time that happened.

Edit: They really could have balanced it by making it based on the percentage of teammates fainted though.

150 BP STAB Adaptability Ghost move off 112 base Attack is broken even in BSS.

Then again, Dynamax. Seems Gamefreak doesn't really give a fuck.

Have Pokemon gender ratios ever been 100% accurate?
I see Game Freak changed the format from one byte to two bytes in SV, and it now includes the percentage for if a species is female. So Charmander is "12% Female", so it's not including the 0.5%.
Wait, if I'm understanding what you're saying here, they changed the gender RNG from rolling between 1 and 255, to rolling from 1 and 65,535?
WHY?

Btw for the joy of the OU players, I found them

Also had Toxic/Flame Orb, and Black Sludge as far as relevant stuff.
Havent found the choice items or AV yet though.

Choice Items are at the Delibird gift ship in Mesagoza (the city with the school in it), along with a bunch of other stuff like Eviolite, that boxing glove item, etc. So it seems like the Delibird gift shops have different items accross towns. Is it the same for Chansey Suply I wonder? I'll go check!

All the Chansey Supply I checked seemed to have the same items sadly :(

I think it's more like the *main* method ^^"
I mean that was basically true of dyna raids and those were fun so im not worried.

While yes its pretty nuts the need for set up (namely doing poorly) to activate the nutty aspect does balance it to some degree. Along with the fact the users are fairly slow without set up and the move does have a type immune to it.

By game freak standards this is a balanced move.

No, I mean that gender information is stored via two bytes now. One byte for the "type" (0 = Male or Female, 1 = Male, 2 = Female, 3 = Genderless), and one for the "rate".
Previously, they had some kind of... wacky enum value? I honestly don't know.

Im actually a bit skeptical about Last Rites as a good win conditon for BSS. The two users that can get it (and to be clear I don't think Basculeigon even has a current breeding path to get it) are slow without the proper weather, and you need 2/3 of your team to get knocked out. All it takes is either some bulky normal Pokemon (which might be a thing this gen in BSS, with Snorlax being gone I could see some teams looking for a new one) or Dark-type, or a Normal tera, and your plan is ruined. Not to mention that if Mimikyu is everywhere as usual, Houndstone is NOT gonna like that still being alive.

I don’t know if I’m reading this post wrong, but it should be other way around. God Mode for 3 turns (with Bonus Avatar mode for partner and yourself, and also bypassing 2 of the most important moves for free) is more impactful in a meta that lasts at most 7 turns than a meta that lasts in in the double digits.

Doing more learnset comparisons. This one is by no means exhaustive because I'm only covering things that are TMs to start, this is losses from BDSP/PLA to SV:

FWIW, seems to be mostly "even if the earlier form got it in PLA it's just the evolutions in SV". Crunch Pachirisu is notable in that I don't think it was on the original Home TR/TM list, so I think it's likely a fair few PLA learns may fall by the wayside if they didn't match that. Aerial Ace Lumineon isn't a huge loss since it got Air Slash still. Ice Beam was cool on Gardevoir. Outrage Heracross was also a fun one I'd wish they kept and I'm really sad about Earth Power Croagunk line because I love special Croak.

Anything gained in BDSP while being a TM in SV is able to be learned by said TM in SV.
