New and deciding on what format to play

Hey yall! Ive played pokemon since i was a kid, and have played almost every gen but i recently decided about trying my hand in comp. pokemon. I am interested in a format where any pokemon can be used except legendaries but i am unsure what that format is called (if it even exists). let me know if you know what that format is called, thanks!

OU bans OP legendaries like Miraidon (and other OP Pokemon like Palafin) but allows balanced ones like Ting-Lu. That's the closest to what you're looking for. It also has the biggest playerbase and most resources.

uh... why are u first of all so against legendaries first of all.... but the closest thing u can get is LC where u cna use every unevolved pokemon, or NFE where a pokemon that is not fully evolved is allowed there.... but no mode just flats out bans legdnaries
