TEAM

:sv/orthworm:

Orthworm @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Earth Eater
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Shed Tail
- Iron Head
Orthworm is the stealth rocker and Shed tail user of the team. With Earth Eater giving it an immunity to ground moves and the steel typing, it completely owns opposing Glimmora and Garchomp leads. Max defense and max HP allows it to shed tail on physical behemoths like Roaring moon, Chien-Pao,kingambit, and Dragonite. Tera ghost to block rapid spin and shed tail on fighting moves. Sitrus berry is the item of choice for easier shed tails. Iron head scares out Hatterene and is a decent stab move in general. When getting up both rocks and shed tail isn't possible I usually prefer shed tail but depending on the matchup rocks can be given more priority. More often than not Espathra is the recipient of shed tail.

:sv/dragonite:

Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Spinner
- Fire Punch
- Extreme Speed
Standard no nonsense Dragonite set. Dragonite with multiscale is amazing for almost always taking at least one hit and saving the team from being reverse-swept. Espeed with Tera normal is amazing against opposing HO and Rain. Ice spinner beats Great-Tusk, opposing Dnite, Dragapult, and Roaring moon. Fire punch is there for Corviknight, balloon Gholdengo and everybody's new favorite mon Scizor.

:sv/Roaring Moon:

Roaring Moon @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Acrobatics
- Crunch
- Roost

Roaring moon is undoubtedly one of the best sweepers rn. With booster energy often only one dragon dance is needed to sweep entire teams. Tera flying to get strong stab acrobatics and it also allows Roaring Moon to set up on Great-tusk. Crunch pairs beautifully with acrobatics hitting almost the entire metagame for strong neutral damage bar Kingambit. Roaring Moon's good stats, typing coupled with roost allow it to check Gholdengo, Volcarona, and Rain. With roost Moon can also beat Garganacl.

:sv/Great tusk:

Great Tusk @ Focus Sash/Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake/Head Smash
- Knock Off /Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
Great Tusk is the rapid spinner of the team. Close combat and Earthquake are strong stab moves. Knock off is Knock off. Sash Tusk is incredible against Sun, Scarf Gholdengo, and Glimmora but booster energy can also be used. Tera steel to get the occasional suicide rapid spin against Chien-Pao and Iron Valiant. I usually lead Tusk to counter-lead Gholdengo, Dragapult and Chi-yu. Rocks can also be used on Great Tusk thus reducing the pressure on Orthworm. Also tried Head Smash a couple of times to snipe Pelliper and 100 percent flame body activation rate Talonflame.

:sv/Espathra:

Espathra @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power
- Dazzling Gleam
- Calm Mind
- Roost

Espathra is arguably the best sweeper in the tier after a slow shed tail. I stole this set from someone a while back and don't really know what the speed is for but the set works so....(my guess is it outspeeds Roaring Moon and Meowscarada at +1). Espathra is surprisingly tanky physically with this spread. Dazzling gleam hits the dark types that are immune to stored power. Roost allows it to set up on a large portion of the metagame. Tera fairy stops dragon tail, gets rid of the psychic weakness, and gives it Stab on Dazzling Gleam. More often than not Espathra will sweep if it gets a slow shed tail.

:sv/Breloom:

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Spore
- Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
Breloom is an incredible mon both as a lead and midgame. Spore allows Breloom to gain back momentum and shut down one opposing mon. Swords dance paired with bullet seed does huge damage to even resists. Mach Punch for revenge killing faster mon and in general, being a good stab move. Focus sash ensures Breloom lives at least one move. Tera grass jacks up bullet seed to obscene levels(especially useful against Hatterene).

THREATS

:sv/dragapult:

Only the wisp pivot set is annoying especially at the early stages of the game. Whenever i see a Pult i lead Great tusk to get the Knock off damage. Once anything setups Pult is not an issue tho.

:sv/dondozo:

HO's public enemy no.1 . Breloom and Espathra do beat this thing and even Roaring moon with some prior chip. I usually get up hazards asap and try to knock off Dondozo before setting up. Fuck Dondozo

not that they are super common, but bulk up corviknight is nigh impossible to deal with if it gets to +2
P sure espathra completely walls that . Also corv is usually the switchin to tusk/loom so it gets knocked/spored where it can't effectively come in on the dragon dancers
I watched some vids where you used heavy slam over iron head on orthworm. Is there any difference in calc or is heavy slam just a situational catch all? Love to hear more about your set.
After using both i feel iron head is better as it is more consistent damage wise. Especially noticable in the case of Dnite and moon. Also heavy slam doesn't ohko either hatt or valiant.

Did you find any problems against iron valiant? i guess espathra checks him pretty hard but the rest of the team gets ohkoed by him and moonblast on orthworm while in tera takes min 75%

I love this team idea. I'm not exactly basing mine on yours, but there are definitely some similarities. Great job! I do have a couple of questions, which may have already been answered. If so, oops!

1) How do you handle Chien-Pao?
2) Do you ever feel like you miss Earthquake on Roaring Moon?
3) How much does Iron Valiant hurt this team? What about strong Fairy moves in general outside of swapping in Orthworm?

Thank you in advance!

Essentially this team uses the fact that iron valiant and chien-pao can't switchin on any mon of the team. That paired with double sash and both dragons tera type to live a hit shouldnt give you too much trouble. Orthworm can take a hit always and shed tail (unless valiant fairy teras in which case dnite go brr). Espathra also helps with both.

(1)(3) answered above
(2) not really only sometimes against kingambit but two fighters can deal with it. Acro is just really stronk and beats great tusk/valiant while crunch helps with rotom and corv. Maybe roost can be replaced by eq but i like roost much more.

Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely keep your team in mind while I work on mine.
