In English, what if C always made a hard sound and K didn't exist?

I was going to make a comment about SI prefixes and how k is more important than c there, and I was double-checking if C was used (it isn't, hundreds are h).

Apparently last year, new prefixes for 10^27, 10^30, 10^-27, and 10^-30 were introduced. How was I not told about this sooner? This is monumental news, the last additions were before I was born!

Firstly, SI prefixes is totally irrelevant to this topic and secondly, neither is K used
