On a different note, I've been thinking about dumb ideas for Hisuian Electrode since it was brought up in the ET Manual setting topic. I don't expect them to be viable but something kind of funny that I thought of was SubSeed given its ridiculous speed and Soundproof to block Torch Song (or if any other Sound Moves get run on Heat sets or something) circumventing the Subs. Lower HP has its perks with % based stuff like this, some Pokemon almost giving enough for a new Sub off one Seed drain. If this thing had a way to do... literally anything to other Grass Types, I could see some potential for ruining days on Low Ladder by spreading Paralysis, draining HP, and leaving with Chloroblast/Volt Switch after annoying enough things.

HElectrode could on paper be a very annoying subseeder. In lower tiers though, because I think this tier has too many problems for it. Amoonguss gives no fucks about such a set, Gholdengo ignores leech seed... Wait that's not that many.

(Im in phone so sorry for ass grammar)

The diference in Gdarm and shit tail is that gdarm is 1 mon, and its abilitys (right now) are only applaied to him

Shed tail has 2 mons, ans then there will be 3 with smeargle, the meta has seen enough shed tail offense in ladder, OST, Stours, spring seasonals, SPL, etc. Orthworm has its uses, but Shed tail IS THE THING that makes orth what it is

And yes, Smeargle with Shed Tail doesnt sound too broken on paper, but its fucking Smeargle, these people WILL MAKE it work
No worries! I’m also on my phone and have garbo grammar!
Tbf imo Smeargle makes everything broken by having the best movepool in the game lol. And with the G-Darm comparison I was moreso talking we ought not ban moves or abilities because a mon would be cool without them. Orthworm certainly may be too mucy for the tier due to its abuse of shed tail… but if shed tail is banned let it be due to that and not be because Cyclizar would be cool without it.

No one is arguing that Shed Tail should go just because we want Cyclizar back. People are just discussing Cyclizar because if/when Shed Tail is banned for being unhealthy on all (2) of its users, Cyclizar would inevitably drop and be something to talk as a new tier presence.

If this is the new reasoning for banning moves and abilities I’m looking forward to unbanning G-Darm after Gorilla Tactics is banned!
fwiw even if it was new reasoning (it isn't) gorilla tactics cannot be banned because no other pokemon has it in order for us to actually evaluate if gt is single-handedly responsible for gdarm's brokenness (spoiler alert: it is not)

that being said i'm sure this was a joke, just figured to nip this in the bud for those wondering

Thank you for clarifying Ausma! As I said before shed tail is its own can of worms since every pokemon that has had it so far became unhealthy because of it.

Was just wondering if with a shed tail ban, could there be ideas of suspecting espathra. I personally think without shed tail an arguement could be made for it staying
Espathra abuses tera more than shed tail tbf. Shed tail is mostly just gravy for it. It certainly may be worth a suspect… but I doubt it’d have much support. Also it’s a stored power mon and thatis generally a less popular strat so even if it’s fair (which I doubt) you’d have a hard time convincing everyone lol.

It's almost as if a Pokemon with 160 Attack and 135 Speed with excellent offensive STABs would be too much for OU. Who would have guessed?

But yeah, I'm hyped for whatever the verdict is, and given that Espatra got quickbanned after " unprecedented overwhelming amount of support to take tiering action", I think I already know what the result's going to be.

So you want us to get it up as soon as possible while also taking all of the time we need? Just making sure I got that right
Yep, and I now realize how contradicting that statement is that I made... My bad! Just try to get it out ASAP that is all I ask... Because many here want to know the results of the council vote including myself!

Enough time has passed.

aside from the whole "only one mon gets it" thing, which is a part of tiering policy i personally disagree with but can see how it could easily open up a lot of unsavory options if it was changed, do you really want a mon with belly drum and a base 160 attack zen mode available? gdarm would be broken even without gorilla tactics
