A tier list graveyard is no place for a young prince

dark souls bosses ranked by difficulty.png

Here's an objective ranking of the bosses in dark souls

Aldi's goes hard as fuck. As broke student they offer me cheap food that if you squint hard enough looks like you could serve it in a restaurant. Also they have like $3 bottle of wine
unless this is american this proves why america is mid as fuck
or maybe im just too young

You know you’ve gotten really, really bored when you decide to make a tier list ranking all 26 letters of the English alphabet.

My only rule for this thread is that you explain what the tier list you just made is actually ranking. Other than that, go crazy. I can’t wait to see what some of you come up with :quagchamppogsire:

Also apparently my goofy ahh thinks F comes before C, didn’t notice that until now
Thank you so much for putting K in a low tier! I'm proud of you :)

It is genuinely one of the worst letters in the English language in my opinion. It's not very useful in many important words, faces immense competition from the more versatile letter C, and it doesn't sound anything near what you would expect when you read the letter out loud. The fact that I could write this entire reply without using that letter once says a lot about its uselessness.

So true! Let's follow each other since we have the same opinions!

Playthrough type tier list (not really in order)

D tier. Bad: Bug is an awful type on its own but most of the bug types you can get early on are really bad

C tier. Good but not great:
A big factor for my list is immunities, psychic can't hit dark which is a problem since a lot of evil teams use dark types though they also use poison types which balances it out.
I may move fighting up but a bad matchup against ghosts is a death sentence in the early game if you don't have the proper coverage.

B tier. Little to no weaknesses:
Electric types only have one weakness being ground. This allows them to run their shockingly strong special moves decently easy (bonus points if you have ice beam).
Poison is higher for one reason and that is it's immunity to the poison status. Sure it may not be the best offensively but being able to poison the opponent without being poisoned yourself is pretty good.
Darks immunity to psychic makes it slightly more effective than other types due to it's psychic immunity and STAB sucker punch
Normal is much lower than you may expect, not because it's bad but because a partial factor in this tier list is quality of Pokemon. Long story short, normal types kinda suck. Sure there are Pokemon like hisuian zoroark but Pokemon like those are either carried by great stats or a good secondary typing, both of which zoroark has.
Ice may seem like an awful type for playthroughs due to it's terrible defenses but the types offenses and the stats of the Pokemon of this type make it mediocre at worst. It is also very useful for those who picked the water starter and need coverage against grass and other water types with freeze dry (bonus points if you have thunderbolt)

A tier. Phenomenal

Rock types are common and beafy. Their able to switch into many attacks that come from early game Pokemon due to your resistance to normal
Ground types are insanely strong in playthroughs due to their great moves: earthquake, fissure, dig if you're weird. Ground can also synergize with ice spinner to form a physical version of boltbeam
Flying types are also incredibly common and an immunity to ground is great allowing you to switch into strong moves like earthquake

S tier. Use at least one of these
Steel is just better rock but is a bit less common
Dragon has 4 resistances to 2 weaknesses both of which can be covered by steel types
Ghost is absurd in the early game as it's immune to the normal moves most Pokemon will be using
You will almost always have a grass fire or water type Pokemon on your team and for what they are, they are extremely powerful
Fairy is a better counter to dragon than ice due to it's immunity to the type and better resistances. The Pokemon that are fairy types are also very good with the Pokemon having high special stats and access to moves like moonblast
