NOC Smalltown Hotel Mafia - Game Thread (MAFIA WINS)

i had psy town earlier, i can' treally remember why, i'll come back to this thought when i do

but the early pages are a bit shouty and the emotional trajectory doesn't track

eli said that this is town. which also struck me as very TMI, because i felt like psy is probably worse this game than last game, and last game it took a while to get there

in the past 34 pages what kind of sticks out to me as a sore thumb is cel putting skipperz as a towncore

i can't help but doubt where this read comes from. i've read the ISO and i guess i just don't see it at all

if skipperz is actually town, this towncore read makes the most sense to me from someone who is scum who is hedging that i might actually gladiate and get this guy lynched (and in this hypothetical mislynched)

lol I have absolutely no expectation that you would gladiate D1 on a newbie. I think you would lose that vote, frankly, because people would feel bad about the situation.

I reread the thread when I had time to invest in it and I thought skipper posted better than everyone else, that's literally it
 
Which is why I asked you to justify making the claim that you would because I'm p certain it was a really unnecessary bluff, which just doesn't make sense
 
ok no one's really said anything I want to respond to so I'm leaving this and going to bed.

My pool of people I'm willing to vote is: dusk/master oden/LS/realiti/apricity. That's the 5 roles I think cause major town problems later.

That said, I'm open to dusk using his role TODAY and doing whatever ASSUMING he doesn't stealth and do this 5 seconds before deadline. I no longer see the downside of him doing that because the threat of his role comes in a mylo or lylo situation. This won't affect night actions because we can assign those based on role, not person (ie JAILKEEPER do this, not M24 etc). This is probably the ideal play since we can't allow mafia!dusk to reach a mylo situation and swap to mayor.

I'm starting to feel we have to vote within the mayor/poisoner slots because there's just too many risks letting both go. My brain is fried so I can't really work through those. But essentially, fruit vendor/gladiator are so low impact, we can let them live and go after them late game when they can't just outright win the game for mafia if that's what it comes down to.
 
i have a lot of thoughts on jalmont and i've typed them up and deleted them because as much as i want to turn a new leaf and become this really fun and interactive player to play with i just can't
 
i suppose the theme of this game so far is that a few reads have been thrown out with surprising conviction and i just haven't been able to understand the basis behind them

either the reads are right and i'm missing something, which i think is quite likely (much more likely today, in 2023!), in which case i suppose we're on a good track

or the reads are wrong, but i don't understand either way in which the read could be wrong

or the reads are right but for the wrong reasons, or for reasons that are apparent only to people with more knowledge than i have.

only one of the three explanations above are ones that excuse my rustiness, so i suppose i am inclined towards them
 
one of the thigns that has historically helped me is an understanding of specific players who i think are quite one dimensional

caff, rad, bianca, texas with the exception of that one game where he just had wrong reads on everyone

i don't have a lot of them today

for eli and tommy, who might be the only people i have actual experience with, my bar is way higher because if i'm wrong on them i could just lose the game

also sorry im no longer in this basket for u? obv last game is relevant, ig cos i share the sentiment, but i dont think youve had trouble finding me as town before as t

like i had no experience with you scum prior to last game whereas you've like, undownloaded me ?
