Chien-Pao and Zamazenta-Crowned are banned from SV OU: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/chien-pao-zamazenta-crowned-are-banned-from-sv-ou.3722636/
Tera disclosure at preview almost became the standard play after the Tera suspect.
why is this unspoken about?
It was such a close vote, almost sure that if you did another suspect process people would vote Tera disclosure at preview as the winning option.
Tera Preview let you at least prepar on team preview like if Volcarona is Tera Grass your Heatran for example could wall it but if Tera Ground you need to change your plan. Also if they didnt Terra using a mid ground within his normal type and Tera type is sometime usefull. Still maintain the brokeness of Tera but give you tools to prepare for it i guessCause it still doesn’t solve anything. The most it’ll let you do is pivot around a little knowing what you know. At the end of the day, you’re still playing guessing games on which mon is gonna Terra. Even if you restrict to one mon Terra, it still doesn’t solve anything. Although the probability is lowered, you’re still playing the 50/50 game of if it’s gonna Tera or not. It’s either you outright ban Tera, or leave it. Although I prefer Tera as is due to the surprising factor, I would support Tera previews. However, the one thing I would say is that there can be no in-betweens.
If using CM + Esper Wing, I might ran SP for filler, but it the set focused on SP, I would use CM + Agility. When you’re using Braviary-H, do you use CM/Agility/Stored Power/Hurricane or CM/Stored Power/Esper Wing/Hurricane? There’s a bit of a difference here in that your speed boosts are more offensive but also accumulate slower. What do you use?
The sad truth is that until ursaluna gets banned, stall will be badstall is gonna be fine after a few bans, don't worry people
Hard stall aka full slow wall got eated by Ursa but you could make semi stall with something like Urshifu to keep ursa on checkThe sad truth is that until ursaluna gets banned, stall will be bad
Pao is kinda meh, but not Samurrot is glad of not having to worry about being set up fodder for one of the Zamas now (but the other is still around). From a scale of 1-10, how much does hisuian samurott benefit from these bans?
Probably around a 7-8From a scale of 1-10, how much does hisuian samurott benefit from these bans?
its like a 6, imo, it was used scarfed on offensive teams as a pao check and that set isnt as needed anymore, and ceasless spikes were a good way to punish zama. but then again it was setup fodder for zama and was 2hkoed by pao. also, zama-h will gain usage now his crowned brother is gone, and he takes less from sacred. overall hisui samurott usage will probably stay about the same as pre-bans, imo. From a scale of 1-10, how much does hisuian samurott benefit from these bans?
i don't think it will ever quite return to its previous position as a top 3 mon, but it definitely improves. a zama-hero ban would help it, too.I know Kingambit likes these bans, but I'm curious if it'll go back to its pre-home ubiquity. Cores like Lando-T + Urshifu-RS put it in a lot of 50/50 situations, making its ability to pull off the reverse sweep harder in the current meta.
i'd definitely vote for tera preview, i mentioned it on the survey, and hope others did, too.Tera disclosure at preview almost became the standard play after the Tera suspect.

implying that ursa is remotely banworthyThe sad truth is that until ursaluna gets banned, stall will be bad
It's hard to say until we see if everybody's favorite cat girl starter makes a return. Initially I would say in many aspects better, like a 7-8/10. However, Meowscarda has answers for many of the leads that Zama and Mega Weavile kept at bay/checked like Tusk, Treads, and H-Sam. Flower Trick + U Turn is all it really needs and the last 2 moves are very versatile. So until we see where the cat is, I'll put it in the 5-6/10 range. From a scale of 1-10, how much does hisuian samurott benefit from these bans?

With Pao gone Tauros will disappear from the tier so defiant won't be as great since Lando is the only intimidate user and it still has to define its place in the meta (it still good but is far from being as good as it was on previous gens). It's hard to say until we see if everybody's favorite cat girl starter makes a return. I think there will be much greater usage of Defiant over Supreme Overlord (initially) and initially this change will cause disarray. It's hard to say at this time which ability is better, because they both serve different purposes. I think ultimately, regardless of what ability is run, Tera Flying will see more play than tera Dark is being used currently, to combat every bear in the OU and Tusk/Treads. In fact, I can also see a future where Supreme Overlord sets run tera Flying more to retain that extra Power boost while Defiant sets run Tera Dark in case Defiant isn't proced for extra damage output.
