[SET COMMENTS]
  • Swords Dance Groudon is a threatening wallbreaker that is able to pressure defensive Pokemon such as Skeledirge, Clodsire, and Ting-Lu.
  • Crunch is chosen as the primary coverage move to hit Giratina-O super effectively and also hit Corviknight neutrally. Spikes and Stealth Rock make progress against the switches Groudon forces, but Fire Punch is another option that breaks through Corviknight while also synergizing with Drought and Tera Fire.
  • The given EV spread outspeeds uninvested Giratina-O, Kyogre, and Landorus-T while maximizing bulk and damage output. An alternate spread with 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe and a Jolly nature can be used on Sticky Web teams as a sweeper.
  • Lum Berry can be used to get past Will-O-Wisp users like Arceus and Giratina-O, though this cuts into Groudon's longevity.
  • Tera Ground boosts Groudon's Precipice Blades to absurd levels, letting it OHKO even bulkier variants of Arceus at +2. Tera Fire lets Groudon avoid Will-O-Wisp entirely and powers up Fire Punch but makes it susceptible to being revenge killed by Arceus-Ground and opposing Groudon. Tera Fairy is an option to become immune to Miraidon's Draco Meteor, but this option is generally outclassed by the previous two Tera options thanks to otherwise not helping Groudon defensively.
  • Groudon is best used on bulky offense as an offensive entry hazard setter that can come in on slower Pokemon such as Clodsire, Skeledirge, and Ting-Lu and use them as setup fodder. Groudon forces switches thanks to its power, so use these chances to aggressively set hazards or use Swords Dance.
  • Miraidon is a great partner for being able to pivot Groudon into Clodsire and Ting-Lu while also being able to pressure Groudon's checks like Giratina-O and Corviknight. The two Pokemon also share a check in Arceus-Ground, which they can overwhelm. Koraidon is a similarly good partner for sharing a check in defensive Arceus-Fairy, which they can overwhelm together. Koraidon also can U-turn into Groudon on incoming Skeledirge, which Groudon can use as an opportunity to set hazards or force a defensive Terastallization. Utility Arceus-Fairy can form a hazard stacking core with Groudon while also helping check Giratina-O, Koraidon, and Miraidon. Finally, Arceus-Water, Clodsire, and Eternatus are solid partners, as they all check Kyogre, which cannot switch into Groudon repeatedly but can threaten it out.

I think it's worth mentioning Max Speed Jolly specifically for being used as a sweeper on Sticky Webs teams.

Also I think Crunch should be slashed with Dragon Claw (maybe first slash?). You hit Gira just as hard and hit more stuff neutrally with the added benefit of the potential defense drops. DClaw seems to just hit Ray harder?

  • Swords Dance Groudon is one of the most threatening breakers in the metagame, and is able to pressure defensive Pokemon such as Skeledirge, Clodsire, and Ting-Lu. (wouldn't call it "one of the most threatening breakers" because I never look at a team and go "damn, this loses to SD Groudon sooooooo hard :/". also, it's wallbreaker!)
  • Dragon Claw is chosen as the best coverage move to hit Giratina-O as well as Rayquaza, while being a more accurate option to hit Koraidon and Miraidon than Precipice Blades. Spikes and Stealth Rock make progress on the switches Groudon forces, but Fire Punch is another option that breaks through Corviknight while also synergizing with Drought and Tera Fire.
  • The given EV spread outspeeds uninvested Giratina-O, Kyogre, and Landorus-T, while maximizing bulk and damage output. An alternate spread with 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe and a Jolly nature can be used on Sticky Web teams as a form as a sweeper.
  • Leftovers is the item of choice, helping Groudon use its naturally high bulk to set up Swords Dance, while soft-checking Zacian-C, Koraidon, and Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground. Lum Berry can be used to get past Will-O-Wisp users like Arceus and Giratina-O, though this cuts into Groudon's longevity. (more subjective but I think the lefties line doesn't say much)
  • Tera Ground boosts Groudon's Precipice Blades to absurd levels, letting it OHKO even bulkier variants of Arceus at +2. Tera Fire lets Groudon avoid Will-O-Wisp entirely and powers up Fire Punch, but makes it susceptible to being revenge killed by Arceus-Ground and opposing Groudon. Tera Fairy is an option to become immune to Miraidon's Draco Meteor, but this option is generally outclassed by the previous two Tera options thanks to not helping Groudon defensively.

Utility Arceus-Fairy can form a hazard stacking core with Groudon, while also helping check Giratina-O, Koraidon, and Miraidon for Groudon. Finally, (you had a double space in front of "finally")Arceus-Water, Clodsire, and Eternatus are solid partners for Groudon for being checks to Kyogre, which cannot switch into Groudon repeatedly but can threaten it out.

(figured "otherwise" made sense here, making Groudon immune to DM is at least something it achieves defensively)
