Milotic should be OU

I'm not good of a analysist, but I truly believe Milotic should be OU. This thing can tank very well. With its Marvel Scale ability, it laughs at pretty much any physical hit and just stall you to death with Toxic. It can also take Special hits very well, except Electric types (which can still survive most of them) but who'd be stupid enough to stay in? Because it is better used as a tank from both sides...she probably won't be getting any special attacking EVs so that makes her weak in her attacking field, but she still be powerful enough to OHKO most dragons with Ice Beam, and STAB Surf or Hydro Pump still does pretty decent damage. What do you guys think?

BTW, I know there are better Pokemon out there that can do the job better (Ludicolo anyone?) but that doesn't mean she shouldn't be taken into consideration. As a matter of fact, there are many physical/special sweepers that are OU and almost all do the same thing...why not give Milotic a chance?
 
The difference between OU and BL is usage, so it doesn't matter how good it is unless more people start using it.

Edit: Yeah I just checked to make sure it was BL, and it is OU...I assumed the TC would at least have something right, but I guess I was wrong lol.
 
Why does it matter to you if Milotic is BL or OU anyways? I would be extremely happy if my favorite pokemon was UU, that way I could use it in more tiers than just two. Having Milotic BL is actually an advantage because you can now use her in a wider variety of metagames.

If something is completely outclassed at doing its job, it stays a tier below. So thats not a very good way of getting your opinion across. Making something BL is giving it a chance. Regardless, Milotic is OU so I don't know what you are talking.

That frame of mind will not make for a balanced metagame, which is what I assume the original poster wants to achieve.
 
That post wasn't supposed to make for a balanced metagame, I was wondering why the OP wanted Milotic OU so badly when if fact it would be to their advantage (assuming they use it) to keep it BL.
 
Milotic can't even touch Tentacruel. But Tenta can take the time to set up Toxic Spikes or Rapid Spin. Anything with Rest not weak to her STAB and with decent SD can take her on.

Milotic is REALLY cool, but you might as well use Blissey, Tentacruel, or Cresselia, depending on your needs.

Because a balanced Metagame would also be to their advantage and is what people should be basing their decisions on when making Tier arguments?
 
you have to remember back in the day when you needed a bulky water to take on Salamence.. which is why you see less Milotic getting played because Salamence isn't centralizing the meta in D/P. Its still pretty good though because of Hypnosis/Recover/IceBeam/Surf but not staple (at least it was for me) as it once was.

Tentacruel only sees more usage because of Toxic Spikes and the ability to counter Mixape, which is an extremely overrated pokemon IMO. But Milotic has hypnosis, a reliable recovery move, a cool trait, higher defence tiers, and the ability to survive a Garchomp assault and KO with Ice Beam. And unlike Blissey, she's not set-up fodder.

Milotic is great. Be creative... ever try scarf or specs?

Exactly. I love that Typhlosion is getting some love, but it's better for her to be in UU, both for tier and rep reasons.

Also, since the TC didn't do it, I'll throw in some stat calcs*:
Bulky Milotic vs. SpecsMence -
Milotic Ice Beam = Damage: 375 - 441 Damage: 113.29% - 133.23%
SpecsMence Draco Meteor = Damage: 279 - 328 Damage: 84.29% - 99.09%

Milotic always KOs and always survives a non-crit SpecsMence Draco Meteor**

Bulky Milotic vs. SubPass Jolteon -
Jolteon T-Bolt = Damage: 232 - 273 Damage: 70.09% - 82.48%

So, against SubPass Jolteon Milotic is 2HKO'D. You don't want to know what SpecsJolteon does.
