such an unserious game..

So let me throw a wild speculation on this:

What are the chances at this point there's also a Entei and Terrakion unannounced Paradoxes

Gen 6 & 7 pokemon, waiting patiently: we're obviously still pretty new, and won't get evolutions just yet. We should just be happy we got some regional forms!

Gen 8 strutting in: yeah can i get uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 2 new evolutions for my bros

So let me throw a wild speculation on this:

At this point, it's absolutely certain.
And the theory that they're gonna fuse (or something akin to it) into something more resembling the paradox in the book feels way more plausible.

I was kind of hoping Walking Wake and Iron Leaves would be one offs, but I guess I can still hope that there are no paradox Terrakion or Entei, just because people will hate the lack of symmetry. :P (I don't have high hopes for this.)

At least paradox Cobalion has a bit more flair to it than Iron Leaves.

In terms of other stuff: wasn't expecting an Applin evo, but rumors of a Duraludon evo was somehow out there in the wind already. (Not sure what pegged duraludon specifically, Khu's only riddle that looks like it matches up was the one with black city/white forest).

Hoping the official site gives us some info about the types of the new mons. I expect at least Dipplin and Archaludon, though I doubt the latter will change type. Dipplin I could see having a new type. (Edit, nope on Dipplin new type.)

Did anyone else clock that they alluded to further Koraidon/Miraidon forms too?
That seemed more like just referring to the new free-flight mode

Which, oh boy, I don't know if the game is going to be able to handle THAT in Paldea proper very well....

The funniet thing about Dipplin is I am pretty sure Khu was trying to push it as a new wiglett/toedscool situation

I love how the first 20 minutes of mobile and even N64 game ads have voice acting but the main series Pokémon games are still dead silent. Idk, it's just so jarring. I know I'm beating a dead horse at this point but this is the world's most profitable franchise. Why do these games still lack features that were standard on the PS2.

Oh well at least now we get Eviolite Duraludon. That's something.

THAT WAS A DURALUDON EVO?! I THOUGHT IT WAS A CONVERGENT SPECIES OR SOMETHING.

On another note, those apples we saw in the very first trailer did become important due to dipplin!

Which makes me very excited cuz in that same trailer they showed a familiar windchime...

Anyway, excited for dipplin and convergent flapple and appletun!

Teal Mask is being released on September 13, nice!

They are already giving Gen 8 Pokemon new evolutions huh. New Applin evolution called Dipplin, I wonder how it will differentiate itself from Flapple and Appletun.

Duraludon of all things is not what I expected to get an evolution. Archaludon is cool though, and finally makes Duraludon look more complete (that thing looked boring and incomplete ngl). Raihan is crying rn though, if he had an Archaludon then maybe he would actually have a chance of beating Leon. I wonder how much its stats will increase though, Duraludon already has a high BST of 535, the highest of any Pokemon that can evolve now.

Seems we will have Paradox Raikou and Cobalion. Interesting there.

Eviolite Duraludon might not be that big of an upgrade. This is a Pokemon who's movepool is really barren, so it usually ran full attacking movesets with Assault Vest or Expert Belt. The extra Def will be nice, but IDK if Eviolite will boost its viability all that much without reliable recovery or set up moves.

Isn't Dipplin just an alternate evolution? Its like the Hitmontop of this gen.

Are Triple Battles returning ?
I noticed that too, but it could have just been them messing up the pokemon placements (the screenshot alone shows how offkilter our character is relative to their pokemon's placements, so...) or maybe a wild thing wandered near by.

It would definitely be interesting to bring them back but also the game can barely handle double battles sometimes.....

So the mochi is interesting to me. Aside from the clear-out Mochi which has obvious usage for it, I wonder if these are just vitamins functionally (so +10 EV at a time) or if they might give more/less. Since it has the one that 0s out, maybe these mochi are designed to power up faster for example?
