Description: The idea is to switch in on a Ground type attack, and scare them out with whatever recoil move of choice you decide to run. It's decently bulky for an offensive mon, and can Recover up on forced switches.

Fakemon Name: Somgnomence (Hypno)
Set Number: 2
Weight: 75.6 kg
Stats: 125/75/95/80/75/20
Typing: Psychic
Abilities: Comatose
Movepool: Hypno's movepool
Description: Doesn't get any shuffling moves so we gucci. On one hand, we have a fat mon that can't be statused and can pass massive Wishes off (no WishPort tho). On the other hand, it's Psychic type leaves it vulnerable to the Ghosts and Darks around, and is all around very passive, usually giving the opponent free switches as it tries to heal up. It does have cool utility options like Encore, Trick Room, and Taunt to support its team and be a general nuisance to offense, but struggle to fit it within its four moveslots.

Fakemon Name: Pipsquawk

Description: Tiny bird loud. Aerilate Boomburst hits like a truck, everything else hits like wet paper. Can opt to run other items since it isn't Boots-locked.

Movepool: Gen 9 Universals

Special: thunder exists i guess
Status: Roost
Skitter Smack, Struggle Bug, Bug Buzz, Fling, Charge Beam, Shock Wave, Charge, Electric Terrain, Thunder Wave, Dazzling Gleam, Aerial Ace, Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, Swift, Extrasensory
Description: Fast and decently strong hitter that can just punch through a number of its resists with Tinted Lens plus STAB Volt Tackle and passable coverage. Doesn't like the meta's ground types all that much, though, so it shouldn't be able to rampage too hard. Matchups are different enough from Flameedle that this hopefully shouldn't feel like an exact duplicate of a mon we just got. Which is also why I'm not sure if this should get a buffing move or not.
Flavor: A firefly but built more aerodynamically.

Description: Competitive into your wide as hell special movepool true combo. Also has Wish if you want to hand some recovery to something else. Has a ton of things it can do.
Flavor: Honestly, aside from having a lot of magma and probably something with fists, I don't really have any big flavor ideas. Spriters can go ham.

post-feedback: spatk -15. i completely missed it getting nasty plot despite typing the thing out. oops

And because response to it was somewhat positive, set 3's a resub that happens to fit.

Abilities: Sheer Force / Scrappy
Movepool: Gen 9 Universals +
Physical: Foul Play, Play Rough, Spirit Break, High Jump Kick, Reversal, Mach Punch, Close Combat, Axe Kick, Trop Kick, Stomping Tantrum, Triple Axel, Body Slam, Rapid Spin, Zen Headbutt, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Aqua Step
Special: Focus Blast (if you feel spicy / need to punch through a physical wall)
Status: Bulk Up, Detect
Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Charm, Misty Terrain, Baby-Doll Eyes, Double Kick, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Vacuum Wave, Aura Sphere, Coaching, Stomp, Mega Kick, Work Up, Power Shift, Agility
Description: It's a lean, Mean, Sheer Forcin' Machine. STAB Sheer Force Axe Kick is a hell of a drug so 80 attack is probably fine, especially with Bulk Up to power up further and an acceptable Speed tier of 100. Scrappy is mostly there for flavor, but that can probably be used for a niche supporting role with having an unblockable hazard clear.
Flavor: My brain started at "Hitmonlee but a Magical Girl that's still physical" and arrived here. Is a 100% Female Pokémon.

Typing: Normal / Fighting
Abilities: Intimidate / Anger Point (Sheer Force)
Movepool: Tauros' Movepool + Thunderous Kick, Final Gambit, Head Charge, Milk Drink, Bulk Up, Icicle Crash, Blaze Kick
Description: I miss the sauce Tauros had in gen 1. we need to return him to his former glory. The stats and typing are a souped-up version of normal Tauros' stats with a better typing than pure normal, though not by too much. Since Tauros gets all the damn coverage ever made, Buffalord has something for pretty much anything, and it has the strength to back it up with Sheer Force and that Speed tier. Held back by not good typing, generally bad bulk, and the fact I made it in five minutes.

Sub patch notes: Added some new moves, most notably reliable recovery in Milk Drink and a strong STAB (especially on non-sheer force sets) with Thunderous Kick.

Description: Parasect has a solid utility movepool. If only everything else didn’t suck. Hence Mushrab. While its typing sadly couldn’t be any better, it should be serviceable with its high bulk and Dry Skin. A Ghost resistance is pretty important in this meta. It also has a high Attack stat and STAB Knock Off, as well as the all important Spore, so it shouldn’t be passive at all. Its still slow and weak to U-Turn, however. And 4x weakness to Fighting will eventually be pretty fatal.

This is a resub
Based off Poliwrath :poliwrath:
Fakemon Name: Terrifish :ursaluna::samurott:
Set Number: 2
Weight: 127,4kgs (100 BP)
Stats: 90/95/95/70/90/70 (510 BST)
Typing: Water/Fighting
Abilities: Intimidate/Water Veil/(Unnerve)

Viable Moves: Aqua Jet, Body Press, Bulk Up, Close Combat, Crunch, Earthquake, First Impression, Liquidation, Play Rough, Poison Jab, Stone Edge, Slack Off, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Wave Crash, Gen 9 Universal TMs

Flavor Moves: Aqua Ring, Bite, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Bulldoze, Chilling Water, Coaching, Counter, Cross Chop, Dig, Dive, Dragon Claw, Double-Edge, Focus Blast, Focus Punch, Giga Impact, Growl, Hammer Arm, Headbutt, High Horsepower, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, Ice Beam, Ice Fang, Leer, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Mega Kick, Muddy Water, Nature Power, Noble Roar, Odor Sleuth, Outrage, Payback, Rain Dance, Retaliate, Revenge, Roar, Rock Climb, Rock Smash, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Scary Face, Scratch, Seismic Toss, Slash, Snarl, Snowscape, Soak, Stomp, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Submission, Superpower, Surf, Tackle, Thief, Thunder Fang, Vital Throw, Waterfall, Water Gun, Water Pulse, X-Scissor

Description: Terrifish is a bear that can fish well. Poliwrath always had a solid typing and nice bulk, but could never get it anywhere due to its underwhelming movepool and abilities. This sub aims to fix that, adding Intimidate to make it great at answering some of the metagame's physical threats, notably Stavage, Kartrake and Wyverock. It can also use its opportunities on the field to make progress with Stealth Rock being the obvious pick, but Swords Dance also being a good option thanks to its high BP STAB moves. It also has recovery in the form of Slack Off to make sure it can stay healthy. It also has a whole bunch of coverage options and even some priority through Aqua Jet and First Impression to make up for its low speed, but its basic toolkit is its most reliable option. Since we lack Water types, especially bulky ones, I figured this would be a nice addition to the meta, one that is also fairly versatile depending on what your team needs.

Sub reviews. Apologies for the delay.

Set 1 mon will need a real name. My tired brain last night jumped to "Morbeeus" but please do not do that. Otherwise I think it looks alright. Those stats with STAB Poison Touch U-Turn would seem strong but I think it's aptly balanced by Bug and Fighting both individually having a lot of resists, and as such, a lot of weird blind spots. There's a bunch of stuff in this meta that would check this but it has ways of harassing all of them which is good for a pivot.

I wouldn't change anything about Skadraugr, you chose a good typing and statline for the role it's trying to do and the movepool Clefable gives. Disincentivizes Unaware while maintaining a decent defensive profile, not overly strong given how scary Ghost moves and Ice+Fire+Electric coverage both can be, maintains some cool utility options for set diversity.

Nervana I think is fine. Your Psychic STAB is going to feel fairly underwhelming no matter what even in spite of Sheer Force and the coverage of Psychic/Fighting/Steel/Dark is ultimately not going to feel perfect in practice. Like, just for reference, if Batacomb wasn't completely reliant on Regenerator for healing and had a 50% healing move in its place, it would be a very consistent answer. If anything this is very brittle for what it's trying to be, and that's kinda compounded by how few resists you have. I'd consider raising the defense by like 10 or 20 or something so you can capitalize off of those a bit better.

Caddismet is pretty simple but there's not really much wrong with that to me. I definitely wouldn't call it passive between Body Press with potential Iron Defense and one of three possible "STAB" types it can call from to cover it if needed. Its Sp. Atk stat is quite solid for a defensive Pokemon as well even if none of the attacking moves outside of Body Press have a great attacking type. Does something different from our other two Steels so I won't be complaining if this gets in with those.

The thing that jumps out to me the most about Kunekrow is those stats. The Attack stat is very high when your primary attacking move is STAB and 120 base power, the Speed is pretty good, and you have serviceable enough physical bulk when paired with the resists Grass/Fighting gives. Swords Dance and the decent enough coverage to support the aforemention STAB CC is a tiny bit concerning but not enough for me to veto. Would suggest lowering the Attack by 10 just to be safe.

I think Prismyk has just way too much coverage. You hit every relevant defensive type super effectively, and while there might be some weird combinations that this misses out on, this still is gonna force people to create some very specialized defensive Pokemon that would probably feel awkward or bad in any meta where this isn't. Bad STAB type can only hold you back so much when the rest is this strong. Going to veto this, I would drop a bunch of the stronger coverage types this has.

Am a fan of Spidocket, really cool defensive typing that has some fun interactions with Regenerator. Some people may complain about a decently widespread Sticky Web but I will forever maintain that Sticky Web is a horrible move. At minimum it doesn't fit with this mon's biggest use case. The stats are pretty fitting here as well, probably wouldn't change anything.

Falchivy has Mew movepool. Having 120 BP Fighting STABs on both ends is really strong and you're able to run basically any coverage option you'd want in order to back that. The idea that you technically aren't safe with anything just doesn't sound fun to play against or build subs to combat. Psychic being mediocre offensively is a big thing holding Mew back and this just doesn't have the same issue. This isn't even to mention if you're completely wrong about it being an offensive set and you just sent out a passive wall into it only for it to start clicking Spikes a bunch. Not veto-worthy but I'd just use Mew's ability and give it a more focused movepool.

Panspin I will veto though. This thing seems like a huge pain to switch into across the mountain of coverage options and potentially even Switcheroo depending on what kinds of sets take off with this. Contrary Leaf Storm is the obvious big button but having ways of punish the types of Pokemon that would switch into that is a bit much. I'd just not base a Pokemon around Contrary boosting in general to be honest unless it's like Hammer Arm.

Mon's fine, don't really have too much to say. Kinda doesn't even play like a Sheer Force mon because most of the moves you get Sheer Force on are super weak. The way V-Create plays with this mon should be pretty cool in contrast to how people normally build it, so good choice there.

Kamekudze looks pretty funky, but overall fine. You have a gigantic blind spot to opposing Grasses and a noticeable one to fat Dragons but Reckless is a very powerful ability and without those drawbacks you're left with a Pokemon that's very fast, pretty bulky, and very strong, so I think it's warranted. You have Parting Shot anyways even if that sacrifices one of your moveslots that you'd need.

A lot of things you said about Somgnomence applies. Its typing is awkward and actively invites moves like Knock Off and U-Turn that you hate giving your opponent and you are pretty passive, but those defenses are quite high. Something scares me comparing this to Cresselia who has not been great in Singles through most of its lifespan but status immunity and actual stuff to do outside of boosting should make up for the difference in not having non-Wish healing or the same level of bul-hey, wait a second! This has Comaphazing through Metronome calling Roar!

I wouldn't say Pipsquawk hits like wet paper. You definitely wouldn't say Hawlucha does and that has almost the exact same offensive presence as just Hurricane and Focus Blast would, but now your Flying move is Aerilate Boomburst instead. I'd actually argue that this Pokemon overall has a crazy strong offensive presence. It's kind of a fortunate case though where we have Harletritus and a specially bulky Electric/Ghost. Might want to consider dropping the Speed to be safe but I dunno.

Luminsect I already spoke with you about on Discord and my opinion still stands, Tinted Lens is potentially crazy but this still has a massive blindspot in most Grounds. The three we have already actually have a secondary typing that resists Bug so Tinted Lens won't be helping much for those even if it does help against everything else. This is all fine for a Pokemon that basically is unresisted otherwise and is very fast.

So I didn't know this until I went to check for weird tech options but Wigglytuff apparently learns Nasty Plot. That STAB combination is incredible and Gen 1 movepool might help it weasel past the few things that wouldn't care about a +2 Fire Blast or Focus Blast from this. Will be vetoing this one as well, I'd drop Sp. Atk by at least like 10 points or so.

Magiheel looks fine. Probably not gonna do well into stuff that resists Fighting but you're still a dumb strong and decently fat Fairy that's also fast so who cares.

Don't take this as me saying it's overpowered but I think Allphid is a bit overtuned as a utility Pokemon, and I don't think it'll run Double Dance like you say, mostly because its Sp. Atk stat is garbage. Here you have a Pokemon with a very strong defensive profile by stats and typing alone, and then you give it 50% healing, literally every entry hazard in the game, stuff like Toxic or Encore to make it not feel passive, and slow pivoting to make it easier to pair with more aggressive Pokemon. This just offers way too much at once. I'd consider dropping most of the entry hazards and lowering the bulk a fair amount, it'd probably still do well against balance.

Pheasear being based so closely off of Blaziken means there's bound to be at least a few similarities, and it kinda holds true that this would be very strong but you can't really use it without it dying. Offensive pivoting sets may be possible now too since this does get U-Turn and the typing has some really nice perks defensively. Looks fine.

This is basically just base form Tauros with a Fighting type now, which might be a bit boring to some people. Doesn't help that Sheer Force also doesn't really have a lot that Tauros gets to boost in this gen even if there's a few nice things. Maybe use Tauros stats and spice up the movepool a bit, or change the type to something a bit more appealing? I do feel it's a slight bit undertuned in the current state and one of those changes to make it more interesting will also inadvertently boost it into being more balanced.

Looks alright but you're overestimating Parasect's movepool. It boils down to basically Spore, Leech Seed which is not going to see use over Synthesis, and Aromatherapy which only fits onto hard Stall. Still is nice to have STAB Double-Edge, will inevitably be a mon that struggles into Steels as many Dark-types tend to but given the big stats and Spore I think it's a fair tradeoff.

Everything I said last time still applies except we do have a fat Water now so it doesn't feel as mandatory to have another. Said fat Water doesn't have healing and they do a lot of different things so having both shouldn't be an issue.

Description: Physical Ice Type breaker that is inclined to run Scarf due to its middling speed. Uses a powerful STAB in Mountain Gale to punch holes in things. Water Absorb gives it a few more opportunities to switch in, but Swift Swim is a perfectly viable choice for rain teams whenever those start existing.
Flavour: Narwhal covered in icebergs and such.

POST SUB REVIEW PATCH NOTES: +Poison Jab, Swords Dance. Gives it a way to break through Cetenor, as well as a way to not be sat on by things that wall its STABs like most opposing Waters.

Description: Steel-type tank mon that packs priority and Drain Punch for longevity. Struggles with handling (and is likely forced out by) Fire types due to having no supereffective coverage. Circle Throw can be run to force switches if wanted.
Flavour: Funny little boxing robot. (genderless)

POST SUB REVIEW PATCH NOTES: +Shift Gear, Bulk Up. Gives it a role as a potential bulky late game cleaner with Bulk Up, or allows it to run offensive Shift Gear sets. Or both! If you're into that kind of thing.

Description: Funny mon that can serve two offensive roles, as both a hyper offense lead with Prankster and screens, or an offensive pivot/terrain setter role with Electric Surge that can serve a role on some kind of Electric spam team (I think? I've never actually built a typespam team before, lol)
Flavour: Electric gremlin imp.

POST SUB REVIEW PATCH NOTES: -Nasty Plot. I underestimated the power of Electric Terrain. Should make it less scary.

Description: quagsire has had enough of being a wall. Pivot with high power, good coverage, and a really strong defensive profile. Does good against all the stones in the meta, but is held back by an abysmal Speed and a lack of recovery (outside of Aqua Ring i guess.) use it on sand if you got that dog in you

Fakemon Name: Swampent :dragonair::swampert:
Set Number: 1
Weight: 73,4kgs (80 BP)
Stats: 75/90/115/55/80/75 (490 BST)
Typing: Dragon/Ground
Abilities: Water Absorb/Swift Swim/(Water Compaction)

Viable Moves: Coil, Dragon Dance, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Flip Turn, Liquidation, Outrage, Power Whip, Slack Off, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Toxic Spikes, Gen 9 Universal TMs

Flavor Moves: Acid, Acid Spray, Aqua Tail, Astonish, Belch, Bind, Bite, Bulldoze, Camouflage, Constrict, Crunch, Dig, Dive, Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Earth Power, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Ice Fang, Iron Tail, Leer, Lunge, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Poison Jab, Pounce, Rain Dance, Rock Slide, Sandstrom, Sand Tomb, Scary Face, Screech, Shadow Sneak, Slam, Surf, Tail Whip, Waterfall, Water Pulse, Whirlpool

Description: This serpent covered in mud living in the swamp can fulfill some underutilized niches in the current metagame as a physically bulky Dragon and Ground type. Its basic movepool is pretty simple with recovery, a few hazards and a pivoting option with Earthquake generally rounding out its set as a necessary attacking option. It has a few additional options in the form of Dragon Tail for phazing, Coil and Dragon Dance for potential setup and some decent coverage options with moves such as Power Whip and Stone Edge. Swampent carries with it two immunities to common types, Water and Electric, while also having an important Rock resistance granting your teams some useful resistances. Aside from that, its typing isn't too extreme with only two additional resistances to Fire and Poison and weakness to Ice, Dragon and Fairy which makes it decent as a blanket physical wall. Overall, Swampent would be a useful for many teams even if its traits don't seem too special or interesting.

Fakemon Name: Bunkung :turtonator::ferrothorn:
Set Number: 3
Weight: 834,2kgs (120 BP)
Stats: 110/110/110/50/70/50 (500 BST)
Typing: Fighting/Steel
Abilities: Iron Barbs/Battle Armor/(Bulletproof)

Viable Moves: Body Press, Bullet Punch, Circle Throw, Curse, Earthquake, Gyro Ball, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Ice Spinner, Iron Defense. Knock Off, Rapid Spin, Rock Slide, Spikes, Superpower, Taunt, Thunder Punch, Thunder Wave, Zen Headbutt, Gen 9 Universal TMs

Flavor Moves: Assurance, Autotomize, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Coaching, Counter, Double-Edge, Dynamic Punch, Fire Punch, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Focus Energy, Focus Punch, Giga Impact, Harden, Hyper Beam, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Leer, Low Kick, Mega Punch, Metal Sound, Payback, Power-Up Punch, Retaliate, Rock Climb, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb, Seismic Toss, Shelter, Shock Wave, Steel Beam, Steel Roller, Strength, Tackle, Withdraw

Description: This spiky bunker turtle serves a very interesting role as an active tank that can properly punish the use of common contact moves such as Knock Off, U-Turn and Rapid Spin thanks to Iron Barbs and a resistance to those. It can force progress between moves such as Knock Off and Spikes while dealing solid damage with its high BP STAB options in Heavy Slam and Superpower. It can also relieve hazard pressure itself with Rapid Spin which is especially valuable considering its quad resistance to Rock. It also has a few other interesting options it could go for such as Bullet Punch to make up for its low speed, Circle Throw to annoy opponents and rack up damage when paired with Spikes or Iron Defense+Body Press to take on most physical threats. It also has wide coverage options, though you'll probably get more mileage out of its basic toolkit. Its item choice can also be rather interesting. Rocky Helmet can be very useful when paired with Iron Barbs, punishing contact moves even further, but thanks to its Steel typing, Bunkung is rather resilient to chip damage making recovery from Leftovers more appealing. Finally, Assault Vest can patch up its lower special bulk while still allowing it to have utility options between Knock Off and Rapid Spin. Overall, a very useful physical Tank that can progress generally much easier for those using it.
