Yes, yes, and YES.
Generation V gave us a bunch of fan-favorites. Chandelure is perhaps the biggest one, but there's also Scolipede, Archeops, Golurk, Sawsbuck, Scrafty, Cofagrigus, the Joltik line, Zebstrika, Haxorus, Bisharp, Braviary, Hydreigon, Volcarona, the Swords of Justice... and several more I might have missed here.
The problem is that the early game of BWB2W2 puts the spotlight on significantly less popular Pokémon:
  1. The Fire and Water Starters are very divisive,
  2. The Pidove line is very lame,
  3. The Patrat line is also lame,
  4. The elemental monkeys are among the least popular Pokémon ever,
  5. Conkeldurr is ugly,
  6. Woobat, more like Who?-bat!

both suck, and that's my hot take

dinosaurs are just ugly and i dont want to see them

this also goes for traditional "dragon" designs they are also ugly, and the more the dragon-type goes from boring traditional dragon design to cooler things the more i like them

a lot of "cool" pokemon like gyarados aren't cool they're just ugly.

cool pokemon in general are worth less than cute pokemon anyways to me

See, my thing is that I consider there to be a lot of overlap between the cute mons and the robots. Mons I consider to be cute are heavily weighted towards inorganic Steels and Ghosts, including Magnemite, Beldum, Bronzor, Golett, Honedge, and Revavroom.

those are definitely weird pokemon, they're derpy. most people would in fact consider pokemon like slowpoke and quagsire as CERTIFIED "silly" and weird, internet mons i think

of the mons you list, bruxish is deliberately ugly, dhelmise is just cool, crabominable is just derpy and hot take is kinda cute

theres a difference between being silly and just a weirdo. ditto, slowpoke and quagsire arent following normal cute/cool design rules but theyre still being made to be appealing and are pretty weak on the weirdo factor. ditto is kinda just a blob and not really anything, mostly marketed because adding two dot eyes and a big smile on other pokemon is goofy cute, but it itself doesnt have a lot of merch which is kinda funny

bruxish isnt deliberatedly ugly tbh, its honestly top 5 character designs in the entire gen. a weirdo mon can still be cool and cute but its in their weirdoness (which many non cool mons have, and some cool mons lack), crabominable is a certified weirdo and i feel like fans are pretty explicit on that.

I think being a weirdo mon is good, it gives the design a lot more flavor than most designs and they have their own charm and cuteness/coolness to me, and I dont really see them as ugly.
 
Back in the Mystery Dungeon brainrot and I have this weird thought...

Explorers of Sky, great game but, why is it called "Sky"? What does the sky has to do with the game? Explorers of Time and Darkness fits because it's a tale that involves these two things, but not the sky. The prev game involves it in the last act at the Sky Tower, but in this game, the only sky related thing in the story is...a postgame Shaymin sidequest with no relevance in the plot. I suppose bc Shaymin was new content for Sky (absent in T/D), but it's still kind of a weird choice of the game's title.
 
Speaking of Ditto, not a fan how most fans acted like ALL Ditto are flawed like Duplica's Ditto. Even then near end of ep it stops transforming with the eyes
Sadly both Mystery Dungeon, Merch, and post Gen 7 anime keep reffing it like it's a norm for all. Even dex entries suddenly spouted that late 7

tbf the duplica ditto is objectively funny and arguably shouldn't be a flaw

e: also the "near perfect" could very well be referring to the HP stat, which is not copied with transform
 
Interestingly there was a plot point in the recent detective pikachu game about this whole Ditto thing
Where detective Pikachu, and several other Pokémon, were framed for a crime, and a major piece of evidence was a picture of detective pikachu not having his stripes on its back because the ditto in question didn’t see it on D.Pikachus picture it was shown.

Glad to see the Detective Pikachu movie using a Ditto whose transforming capabilities are near perfect.

and trying to make sinnoh the "lofi and chill" region? fuck you. that's johto. johto also has better music in general

sinnoh also just sucks in general and its battle OST mostly sucks along with most of its route tracks being average

Diamond and Pearl are worse games than GSC and Platinum "fixes the game" by making it mid rather than actually bad

I can't wait until the nostalgia cycle goes further because there are so many actually underrated good games in the series waiting to be appreciated, rather than the most overrated generation ever. Praying on Sinnoh's downfall

idk if gen 4 is worse than gen 2 but gen 4 is pretty fucking bad. I guarantee if HGSS didn't exist gen 4 would be as forgotten as gen 6 is
 
I think all the Hyper Beam clones should instead work like Blood Moon - 140 BP, 100 accuracy, but you can't use them twice in a row. Therefore you couldn't just slap on a choice item and spam them to your heart's content, but they would actually be useful competitively. Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon should also work like Tera Blast - they become physical if your attack stat is higher. That would give just about all the starters a niche somewhere.

I would also like to see a Pokemon region based on Canada.

Finally, some people freaking say it. The majority of BDSP’s problems as a remake come from flaws in the original games, and as nice as it was for Platinum to be an actually functional Sinnoh game, the only thing it really added back was the Battle Frontier at the end of the day, but even that’s a downgrade from its Emerald iteration. The Distortion World barely counts when upwards of 80% of the area is only accessible on the first visit anyways, and the PokéDex expansion wouldn’t have been a factor if Diamond & Pearl actually attempted to do its job.
