252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 speed
Timid
Terra Fire
-Seed Flare
-Dazzling Gleam
-Terra Blast
-Earth Power

I don't think locking yourself in to specs is good for shaymin. I think it's better to fish for Seed Flares first, since then you can do things like pop Gholdengo's balloon, not waste a tera to actually use Tera blast, etc. Weirdly enough, I think Shaymin could actually beat gliscor 1v1 as long as it's not the acrobatics set and you use Synthesis. Tera Fairy Dazzling Gleam would be probably funny for those Tera dragon manaphys running around.

Hi, I'm currently running webs rn and the BE interaction feels super inconsistent. Sometimes they BE speed before webs activates, sometimes it activates afterwords. Can someone help me with this? I remember seeing something like this in the initial SV mechanics thread, so you can just link it to me and I'll find it if you don't have time.

how aboiut this tweak?

Why is Quaquaval not good in OU? Is it because of its speed?
It has horrible 4MSS, you want stabs, rapid spin, bu, sd, uturn, roost, knock off, and gets walled by stuff like mola, pex, donzo, corviknight, amoongus, tera water tusk, tera water garganacl, and gholdengo if not packing knock off. Gets revenge killed by rillaboom and ogerpon unlesss fully set up, etc

It gained Knock Off in the DLC, so a theoretical rapid spin set with Knock off might be viable, depending on how much does it do to gholdengo, and its a decent check to kingambit, so I guess you can give it a try

¿Any of you have recommendations on teammates for Ceruledge? I'm thinking about making a HO Team with him but I don't have much ideas right now

OverUsed section is getting a bit cluttered, especially having to look through a bunch of threads for projects, when can we expect old/defunct threads to be unpinned? (Stuff like Kingambit suspect thread, Ursa suspect thread, Old metagame discussion, Old VR, potentially quickbans etc)

Why does Gliscor rarely ever run speed investment? Is speed investment viable on it or is max defense too important for it?
Gliscor generally doesn't need it, it is viable if you wanna go like full on offensive, but not really, I personally like to run 20 speed evs, to outspeed 230 tusks

Where can i post my team so that someone can help me improve it? Im new to the game
On the Rate My team section: https://www.smogon.com/forums/forums/sv-ou-teams.748/ this part is dedicated to SV OU, if you wanna go to other tiers or gens, look up their respective sections

before posting the team, look up the rules section before posting, or else your thread will be closed: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/rmt-rules-and-forum-guidelines.3647102/#post-8039581

And finally, it is recommended you play more with the team, so you can know possible weakness and issues beforehand

Alternatively, Breloom sometimes run Tera Steel, to change every weakness except fire into a resist, including it's 4x flying weakness, and weakness to Fairy, Psychic, Poison and Ice.

What are the best Clefable sets these days?
Right now, it would be something like this

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonlight
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock / Calm Mind / Thunder Wave
- Moonblast

Moonlight provided semi reliable recovery alongside leftovers
Knock Off helps with removing items of enemies, and since you're immune to passive damage thanks to magic guard, you'll get plenty of opportunity to throw it
Moonblast is stab mandatory
Rocks can be used for role compression, allowing other mons to run other stuff, calm mind helps clef in staving off hits from special attackers, thunder wave can also be used to troll speed boosting mons
Tera water to survive Steel and Poison moves, and thanks to magic guard, you're also immune to garganacl's salt cure, which makes water more usefull

Clefable has a large, customizable and fun move pool, so don't be afraid to experiment, if you want something, there's a good chance she has it

I noticed Milotic was rather high on the OU viability list. Can someone explain what it offers in this meta?

1. One of the few mons that have Scald this generation
2. Use Haze to keep sweepers in check
3. Using Mirror Coat can be a nice tech where opponents might not see it coming
4. Marvel Scale will always help Milotic's defenses if it ends up getting statused.
5. Higher Special Attack vs something like Toxapex / Not being weak to Dark moves like Slowking is

Can someone explain to me how to categorize a team style? I'm seriously doubting if others are actually miscategorizing teams, or if I'm actually a complete moron.

I've had someone call this team Bulky Offense, when it's built to be more Hyper Offense (the only Pokemon that are bulky is the Dengo and Tusk is naturally fat), and someone else calls it Balance. Yet, this team is what I consider to ACTUALLY be Balance.

I seriously have no idea and it's really frustrating me. Am I just a total idiot for not getting any of this? Should I just go back to the dunce cap corner?

There is space for debate and not everyone will agree with the definitions, in my personal opinion, I like to judge a team by this

6-5 pure offensive mons: HO
4 offensive mons and 2 walls: BO
3 offensive mons and 3 walls: balance
2-1 offensive mons and 4-5 walls: fat balance
6 walls: stall

I've had someone call this team Bulky Offense
I called this BO because its an offensive team, but has some defensive pivoting to rely back on

Yet, this team is what I consider to ACTUALLY be Balance.
This IMO is balance, you have 3 defensive mons (empo, glis and threads) and 3 offensive mons

We can all disagree, so don't stress it too much

So it's just a subjective thing, rather than something the community agrees on? I seriously am just questioning everything I've ever learned in the 19 years of playing this game. :pikuh: :row:
