Welcome to the sixth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Gen 6 First Blood Random Battle format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Gen 6 First Blood Random Battle in a single elimination best-of-5 series.
What is Gen 6 First Blood Random Battle?
First Blood is a very simple mod: if you are able to knock out a pokemon on the other team before your opponent does the same, you'll win the match! For this spotlight, First Blood makes an appearance in the generation that introduced mega evolutions to us, hoping to to create some exciting and tense battles where every move might be your last...
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “Gen 6 First Blood Random Battle”. This format can be found under 'Randomized Format Spotlight', at the top of the third column. Alternatively, use /challenge gen6randombattle@@@first blood rule. You can also run the entire series and keep track of the results of each game with /challenge gen6randombattle@@@first blood rule, bestof=5
3. The first player to 3 wins advances to the next round.
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before March 2024. This will determine the pace of the tournament. For this reason, extensions will generally NOT be granted.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
