in my mind this whole start could just be from a playbook

sure, there's not much harm in doing stuff like this during RVS, but in a world where mostly everyone plays ball, laurel's put himself in a commanding position in the discussion and scrutiny will fall on people for frivolous reasons related to how they've interacted with the whole flavor claim situation, and it'd be inorganic in that type of conversation to suspect laurel at all, kinda just improves his position in the thread without really giving us anything useful
