NOC Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Mafia - Explorers - Game Thread (Game Over!)

what about it do you think is sussing you out?
difficult to put my finger on it or really say why

either genisu reacted poorly and it made me lose my belief in his push on Neon as a whole in addition to looking kinda slimy

or

a fairy being so severe about it didn't make sense/looked like forced content
(though as the interaction continued it can just be her personality and she really does care about it)

fairy isn't actually pushing on genisu and starting conflict like that for so reason isn't really the wolf strategem, looked like genisu kinda omgused and the way he phrased it didn't sit right with me

##Vote genisu

D2 has wagonomics, eod behavior, night results, flips,

there wont be wagons or valid eod behavior if people dont put forth serious reads.

night results maybe but that requires you to give scum team a free shot. and its wifommy asf.

this belief that you have that you cant form good reads d1, or d1 doesn't matter is a limiting belief that gives scum team room to breathe if town doesn't take d1 seriously. i barely give random votes anymore, all my votes are some level of serious. whether d1 reads are accurate is a matter of your personal skill level and forming reads allows one to iteratively improve.

I was supposed to apply to a job today but instead I decided to cook lol

7. Non-town players have been supplied with safeclaims (for both roles and alignment).

Role name avenue does nothing for us because Charlie is an at least decent host (reportedly a good one!)

We’ve had backups a few times on this site during revival, and at least one was on mafia I think lol

Thats wild -- do they copy just any PR that dies or do they have to be on the same alignment? If its the latter I think that would still be pretty easy to out. and the former would seem pretty janky game design -- basically just a mechanic to make games even more swingy.

i've never seen a mafia universal backup that copies town roles, i believe one would consider that bastard lol

Usually backup is an active role. You pick a role that’s died to copy, and yeah if it’s mafia it can be of either alignment usually.

But also usually you can’t copy X-shots, so no vigs or whatever. The setup has to be balanced around it a bit.

Didn’t someone claim Grovyle lol? P sure that’s the most obvious candidate for a third party role name and they would’ve been given a safe. Maybe we have an indie though, I guess setup info isn’t in the OP

M2H claimed it. No clue what shape a 3P could take besides scum wolf so I won't comment further.

I think the idea is that if they can take a village role then under fair play/setup expectations they wouldn’t be mafia backup
It does seem to be the case for these folks that this is their impression. Not a restriction I’ve ever seen, personally.

Backup is roughly the same design philosophy as absorber which are usually scum. The locking to alignments doesn’t make much sense to me.
