NOC Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Mafia - Explorers - Game Thread (Game Over!)

Idt there'll ever be a game where you don't proclaim yourself to be in the towncore tbh

It's just a perspective slip not to fwiw. I am simply trying to wrangle up a sufficient number of townies so ofc I go in the pile. And I think I have already given enough for me to be a strong town leans regardless, with my mech solving, flavor claim, and whatnot.

Reminds me of the MU champs game where the "good" players put me in the POE while putting two wolves in the core. I fought off being the lunch like 4 days a row and by the end I was so obvtown that a 99% mechanically confirmed townie got mislynched instead of me after I begged the 100% confirmed town played to vote for the wolf.

Good times. Gooood times...

sounds horrible tbh

i'd strongly advise everyone to ignore any post where someone proclaims themselves part of a "town core" (especially on day 1) without doing the research yourself. have to remember that there are a bunch of people here who are very good at talking and saying things that seem meaningful that maybe are not as meaningful (as persuasive as it might be) as they might want you to believe.

All I'm gathering from this is that you think I have w rizz.

All in all though, I may be playing a solipsistic game in calling myself town core but imo it's no more problematic than putting yourself "hard town" in a tiermaker. It seems like a pretty frivolous thing to take issue with.

why should I not be towncore?

Proclaiming yourself "town core" is redundant, because obviously everyone here is going to say that they are town.

So when you make a list of "town core" and include yourself, the only thing you are doing is attempting to create a subconscious association in people's minds between you and town core. From glossing over your post someone might recall later in the game "oh, I remember someone said M2H was town core" but not realize it was you saying it. Even if it's not a direct thought, it can subconsciously influence their decision making.

So, in my opinion, it is inherently deceitful.

Do I scum read you because of it? Definitely not, I know you'd do the same thing scum or not. But, will I point it out so that people won't be as likely to mistakenly make the association? Absolutely.

Obviously it is not a big deal, just a small detail, but I think it is worth mentioning.

I get that. My impression is "I'm town core" and "I'm hard town" are equal statements but across the last two games, only the former has received heavy scrutiny.

I think you can say that if you are saying "I'm town core because...." and especially later in the game when actual events have happened but day 1 not really
