reads within debate club: celever + someone who isn't shane. shane + m2h or bluedoom. if it's neither of them then id think its not flanders bc i dont think scum flanders sees tvt cel shane argument and gets involved


joey and clouds: both were the final folks i placed on the thing, and i'd much rather have put them in a "null" category i didnt allow myself to use
 
id be lying though if I didn't say I have strong feelings af is s/s with celever and that's the main reason I fos her, so it's part of my myopic worldview at the moment

her voting for pulsar eod1 left me with serious questions considering she actively disliked the wagon on her and said as much in tier maker and she's kind of suspecting Celever today but doing it in a way where she's not making it clear she wants to vote him

see, this is the problem, in that you're listing possible teams which, sure, it makes sense i'm not a wolf with celever, but it doesn't help me understand who you think is actually scummy in us five, just that there are two types of possible team which is noncommittal and doesn't really show me what you think about each player in isolation

understood about joey and clouds but again that leaves me with nothing

okay sure. here's my called shot for debate club scum, it's just celever, who is partnered with 2 of jalmont clouds joey. if there's a 4th scum, it's someone im not expecting.

the clear division in this game really bothers me because it's obviously not that simple. it's really weird and idk what to make of it. what's weird is that the cel trio really is pushing the narrative of this division (AF is just in there by association, she wouldn't ever comment on something like that seriously anyways so no way to remove her) which I think is relatively scummy because it's so early in the game to lock in on whatever you're feeling.

end of day 1 prior to my claim looked like this
celever/AF/flanders/alice vs. me/clouds/bluedoom/m2h (sort of)/dusk (sort of)/genisu/shane (sort of)/joey vaguely

then day 2 its like

cel/af/flanders vs. clouds/bluedoom/shane/me (but not really)/dusk with the emphasis really being on cel vs shane. I guess one of cel and AF is town since I don't think they buddy each other that hard attacking shane but maybe AF is defending cel by attacking shane? that seems to upfront for AF to go for as teammates with celever.

fwiw i thought saber townspewed post deadline but i dont deserve any credit for that now

things i don't like
Laurel giving a BPV to Clouds
Clouds revealing that Laurel gave him a BPV
AF voting me day 1
m2h and dusk voting me forcing me to claim on day 1 - i think m2h makes a little more sense than dusk, you can say dusk has been anti claim this whole game so it's bizarre he wanted to force me to claim instead of believing in his town read (maybe he didn't truly say i'm town? can't remember). in general behavior that detracts with the narrative a player is setting up i find suspicious. so when thomas says "CLAIMING IS BAD DONT DO IT" and m2h says "JALMONT IS TOWN AND WE WILL CLEAR HIM TOMORROW" and then vote me with the intention of forcing a claim, I get a bad feeling.

the BPV thing kind of stinks. Laurel why did you not give the BPV to HH? first, i don't see any reason why laurel would pick CLOUDS. ok clouds is the mafia champ. whatever, clouds could also be mafia and then we just wasted a bpv. and then fundamentally it just doesn't make any sense to me why you would claim being given a BPV. if i'm a super great power role, I'm sitting on that knowledge. sure, I defend laurel in the thread, but unless push comes to shove (and even then...) there's no reason to reveal that information right this moment ESPECIALLY knowing that laurel has already tried to make a relatively cheap mech clear play. it's just a weird moment to me. hopefully mechanical genius M2h can explain this to me. not sure i would believe they are both mafia but perhaps one? in the midst of writing this, I do see a line of play clouds may have thought of so I'll have to get back to this.

I think shane is town.
1 of clouds/laurel feels weird because I think if laurel is mafia clouds is automatically mafia.
joey is a bleh solve but I'm null on joey too and he objectively has better posts than flanders.
m2h is tinfoiling and I think even if dusk is a possible solve he doesn't feel like someone you flip here.

i'm having trouble seeing jalmont and Celever as a team for sure

to a lesser extent Celever and clouds as well though i don't think clouds bussing celever is completely out of the question, i think theyre less departnered than celever and jalmont

joey can be with anyone at this point
 
Fwiw during the night the solve that made most sense in my head was celever/clouds/+2 because then it would make sense why celever keeps getting paranoid about "the oligarchy" but never attempts to solve clouds/me

idt clouds/laurel is both scum and declare the mechanics openly like that
 
I mean it would be huge brain play to try get clouds to endgame with a good role, now that clouds won't be nightkillable but still its hard to agree to get a scumteam to agree to that
