why are you pushing jalmont, you should be pushing clouds first if anything. I do not buy at all that charlie puts a kp cop in the game in a game with no vig. thats a borderline bastard dynamic.

The potential existence of a vig is enough to cast Clouds’ claim into balanced territory, because a well-balanced setup will also word in consideration of roles that aren’t actually in the game. This is something I paid close attention to when creating Assist Trophy (my last hosted game and the closest mirror to this one with regards to game style) and I think Charlie is at least as good at hosting as I am.
A vig actually being here is unnecessary. Especially with Laurel’s genuinely good point that the scumteam could be one where one person is forced to kill carry and the scumteam gets to pick who the next person to kill carry is when the first person dies. It would be a pretty old-style game design, but we have the old version of oracle in the game apparently, so that’s entirely plausible to be the case here. If that is the case then Clouds and JALMONT are basically unlinked.
Do you not believe that the fact that JALMONT claimed first, and Clouds' claim seemed to strengthen JALMONT's, at least to a degree, that these two if not mechanically are still highly linked? Like this isn't just Clouds claimed kp cop and then JALMONT claimed he's a vig -- in that case I see your skepticism. JALMONT claimed first and Clouds' claim somewhat corroborated making this much more of a linked dynamic where Clouds is MUCH more likely to be the m in the pair if there is only one in my mind. Not just pure mech, but also the way that mech was revealed in the thread.
If Clouds’ role is real then the fact that JALMONT claimed first is meaningless. These points only matter if Clouds is scum and catered to a JALMOTN claim that he believed, and he wouldn’t do that in a game where he has a host-provided safeclaim at this stage in the game.
This might apply in a S/S Clouds/JALMONT theory but I don’t think you believe that theory so I’m confused
