hey alex - first off sick project, freaking awesome idea. anyway i really wanted to sign up but don't have time to ladder right now. if a genesect suspect test opens up though i am definitely going for reqs there, with stall of course - would a suspect ladder ranking be eligible for your project?
For your project I really think you should ban Politoed. Otherwise people won't really delve into some new defensive teams and will just utilize bog standard rain stall :/
oh no i vmed this before I saw your post, as finally someone mentioned it.
Normally the noobs of smogon are just new players and even tend to spam more powerful mons to win. The only explanation I have, is players that don't care if they win or loose are dominating the server and are not playing for the competition but for fun. I agree the fact keldeo and co are so low in usage is insane.

The content I would say is required in a Xatu overview is-
1. Best Deo-D counter in the game, not in the sense that Deo-d can't win but in order to it has to run a worse option than with its other checks (Skill swap lol)
2. It is effective enough to replace a rapid spinner on some teams
3. Current role in the meta is mostly on sun

one question before i shut up lol:
I'm using SD Lucario+BulletPunch(i wanna sweep with him) and CB Ttar as it destroys Jellicent and Gliscor with Crunch and AquaTail respectively. I need a third. Latios doesn't work as it gets demolished by strong fighting pokemon. Also gyarados+dnite+salamence are hard to squeeze in b/c of SR+the sand Ttar brings. what do i do D:?
