Well, my little M3 DS is technically an emulator, however it's save state function on Pokemon games is not working. :-( So yeah, I got to go with DSmune to do this, but that's a bitch because it means learning yet another program.
The lowest I'm considering right now is around frame 40, which would give me a shiny adamant starter. But yeah, there won't be any way to verify which I am on, so I'm just going to have to be persistent and hope for the best. The only other way to do it is to use the save file on Desmune and run it with save states.
Well, that's where I'm a little confused. I remember that when I was doing that RNG, once you start talking to Elm, you get stuck in his lab where there aren't any NPCs. Talking to him didn't seem to advance the frames. You can't get past him to talk to the assitant, because he stops you. So unless the frames can advance outside before talking to Elm and triggering the gift sequence, I don't see how it can have been accomplished.
I have to revisit the Elm starters. Somehow Winters Zombie was able to advance frames, but I couldn't seem to get that to happen. So now I have to go back and look again.
Cool! I'm glad you got your little togepi. They're so cute! And the gift pokes are always extra special, especially the ones that are difficult to RNG. :-)

I didn't save the timid file with the lowest frame for the other seed. It's possible to find it using PokeRNG by asking for higher starting ranges for delays.
Definitely don't quit. Once you know you're near your delay, it's nothing but checking the IVs and resetting to try again.
Ooh, such a good seed. I think I'll give it a try. It's just unfortunate that the only way to verify your delay is to leave and catch something :/
Haha, oh wells. If I do start on frame 0...then that'd mean the 4th movement of the NPC I should interact with the pokemart guy? Ughudu...this is going to be tough, haha. I might quit, but *shrugs* hopefully I don't. I can be pretty stubborn! :P

LOL. Naw. But I do spend a lot of time making mistakes behind the scenes until I figure out an RNG job. Then I forget it and have to remember it all over again later. I should keep notes. I really should.
I don't think you can do any waiting. You're forced to take the egg just to get to the next part of the story.
I did it right after the Violet Gym Boss Battle. I think I picked a low frame seed. Not sure.
I'm not sure about the frame of the seed at all. But I definitely did it right at the time it's received. That much I remember.
