  • Haha, I imagine they were in the first place but it gave you a different seed so you couldn't tell. If you want, I can trade you a bunch of rare candies tomorrow. That way you can easily check your ivs to see whether you hit your frame or not. So 20 it is. :) You're getting close...
Hm. I have never bred one where the NPCs didn't advance it at all. I assume you're going for 24 this time then?
OK. No chatots this time. just go to the menu and then back out and get your egg. It's probably just your timer0 messing with you but this way we can be sure.
It doesn't ever sound like what I try to record. It's always much softer and weird. The important thing is that their regular cry is gone so something else is stored in the game's memory.
After you try it, go to their summary and see what, if any, sound they make. Anything aside from their normal one is fine, even if it's silent.
If I am, go ahead and teach them a sound and then save again. It's not a big deal. I wasted an hour and a half before before when I didn't know that leaving them in your PC erased their chatter. :(
When you do it this next time make sure the volume is on so you can hear whether they have their custom sound or not. Naive Male is a likely outcome with no chatot advancement.
OK. View 20 Chatot summaries, back out of the menu, and then talk to the man as fast as you possibly can. Let me know what you hatch. (If you care about where you hatch your finished product, you should go there.)

Explanation: I told you 20 times because the NPCs in that area tend to advance the frame by somewhere around four. I often get my target on my first try or land one away by doing it this way.
I'd like to see it through if you don't mind, assuming you're still going to try and finish it tonight. If you are having trouble understanding me though, that's ok.
You hold those buttons right after you hit A at the approproate time on the screen with the clock and hold them until you see the star appear that shoots across the screen.
Alright. If you haven't, set the Method box in the main window of RNG Reporter to Breeding (BW International). Copy the full seed I gave you into the seed box. Check the Roamer released button if you have released the roamer but not caughtit yet, otherwose, leave it blank. Click the calculate initial frame button and then the generate button. Tell me what it says your initial frame is. Go ahead and start the game one second before the time for the seed like you've already done before and as soon as you hit A, hold the two keypresses until the star shows up that shoots across the screen. Say no to the C-Gear, and spam your X button to get the menu up. Once you have it up. Leave it there and inform me. This is a long one so feel free to ask for clarification if you need it.

EDIT: Before all of that, your Chatots have been taught a sound and have not been put in the PC since the last time you taught it to them? Otherwise they'll forget and you have to teach them again.
McGreen never responded to my last message either, about the Jellicent. So be wary when trading with him.
I have to go to sleep soon. It's 3AM and I have class tomorrow. I'll wait up a bit longer though. If you get finished with Ebon before I'm gone, shoot me a VM.
