  • Copycat: The Pokemon thinks about the last attack and repeats it exactly, duplicating the attack, but letting you choose a new target for the move. This move will fail if Copycat is the first move used in the battle, the last used move was Copycat, or the attack requires more energy than the user has. Charge-up actions and priority are ignored for a move copied by Copycat; all of its effects execute immediately when Copycat is used. (eg. If Copycat copies Revenge, it executes immediately. Likewise, if it copies Sky Attack, both the charge and the damage happen at once, and thus the move cannot be stopped by multi-hit attacks)

    Attack Power: -- | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 2 + Copied Attack | Attack Type: Other | Effect Chance: -- | Contact: No | Typing: Normal | Priority: 0 | CT: None

IIRC this means last attack every used by anyone.
Hi, EM wanted me to explain Shift to you...

Yeah, it is positioning off (the standard), but the awkward wording of the Shift Command seems to imply that it could be used in positioning off battles as well, since it can be used "in any multi-battle format." Basically, it has the same—or rather, similar—effect as Ally Switch as in it can switch the places of two Pokémon, but "adjacent"—while defined in positioning on matches—could mean anywhere in positioning off matches. Basically, Shift can currently be used in any format, but I am currently working to try & get enough support to get it relegated to positioning on matches only for a whole vast of reasons.

If you still think I should reorder for my match after this, then let me know. I am not going to continue to argue over this after this VM for my own personal endeavours, but the bottom line is, Shift is pretty badly worded, & needs to be fixed/clarified anyway. Also, when I told Deck about Shift existing, his response seemed to imply that it could work in positioning off anyway... -.-'
    You reffed Rock Blast wrong.

Multi-hit moves work differently in ASB. First, you add together the BAP of all the hits, then add everything else. (So you calculate it as one attack.) The only thing is that the extra damage goes through Substitute.

Thus, the calculation should be (9+0*1.5-2*1.5)*1.5=9 damage.
Happy Birthday, Birkal! Thank you for your contributions not only on Smogon, but on Pokemon Showdown and other things as well (only know you on those two). Anyways, cheers to another year that you are alive! ^^
