  • Oh, that's because the event item still hasn't been released. You couldn't use a caught in-game Arceus on VGC because they'd all know that a hacked event item was used to get it.

    I've finished my RNG and have had time to check the Giratina. It's UT at level 46 because that's the level it learned Shadow Force.
    I think it's at level 46, the level it learned the last move you listed on the moveset. I'm not 100% sure about it's level and I can't check just now. I'm doing the RNG for the adamant Dialga right now.
    All AR codes I use are listed on my thread and always have been. First post.
    If I'm still here in a hour, we can trade it over to your game. If not, we should try to get it over this evening.
    The RNG was a success and I now have the adamant Giratina. I just saved the game after getting it. Anyhow, I'll get all that rare candy stuff done on it and we can trade it over tomorrow or the next day. I'm logging off for now. The arthritis is acting up from sitting still at the computer for too long.
    No, of course not. :-) But if you ever do need it, only way you can legitimately have it is through the Arceus event Giratina on your HGSS game, if that's the game you'll be playing from. Otherwise you'd have to use it on Platinum after catching the Giratina on that game. But if you're using it differently than Griseous form, no biggie.
    Well, the event is unlocked, so now I just have to RNG the Giratina. Make sure you catch yours before it's too late because of the Griseious Orb. Mine won't go over Wifi with it. You have to catch your own to get one on the game.
    Your Kyogre? You already have it, so you know the moves it got. But yes, I gave it those moves with TMs and HMs. It still needs EV training to suit what you want from it. I hope you have PKRS to make it faster.
    It's going to be RNGed on the same game as Kyogre. After I get it, I will clone it, nickname the clone, level it up with rare candies to the moveset you asked for, give it Protect, PP max the moveset, and transfer it via trading between two DS games at home so that I have it on my retail card which I use for all my trading.
    I can rare candy it up to the levels it learns those moves, yes, but you'd still need to EV train it.
    Btw, you better catch your Giratina on your game because that's the only way to get a legit Griseous orb on your game. It cannot be traded to you.

    OH, you need a Jolly one? I have a flawless jolly one you could have. It's not shiny. But hey actually (lol) I just RNG'd my ID/SID on my English Soul Silver Cart and one of the shiny spreads I have on it is:
    JOLLY 29 31 29 12 29 31
    If you can wait like a week, I'll have a shiny jolly Giratina with that nature/IVs.
    Every time I start a new HGSS game with a specific spread, I have to beat that game to properly RNG that spread. So you need to ask me if I beat the game with the spread you're interested in, not if I beat HGSS, because I've beaten it on several games already. For the adamant spread, it's ready for RNG, but like I said, I have to trade an Arceus over to my adamant spread game to unlock the event.

    Even if I did use a hacked Arceus, it would unlock a legit event. Once the event is unlocked, the poke generated from it will also be legit. In any case, I'm using a legit Arceus that I got from Supe. And no, his poke is not a redis Arceus.
    It's not unlocked yet. I have to transfer an Arceus from my other game onto the adamant spread game and then go unlock the event with it. Also, since I use save files, I can RNG a different pokemon from the same event with the same spread simply by replaying the game at that point and doing the RNG all over again. There are no codes involved. It's save files.
    The admant spread is on HGSS, which means Giratina will come in a pokeball at level 1. It's a baby on that game.
    You should go to my thread and look at the first post. I have all my spreads listed. Some of them are not ready, though. Meaning I haven't beaten the game to the point of doing the RNG work. If you see pokes on my thread with the OT and spread listed, then yes, the spreads are ready for RNG. If not, then I probably haven't beaten the game far enough to do the catch project. I'm not 100% sure of where I am on some of the games. I only just started Pearl, for example.
    Yes, I have that spread. The SpAtt is a 17, I believe. When do you leave for VGC again. I'll need to know how soon I must attempt a capture so you'll have time to get it and EV it.
    I'd be anxious too if I were going to VGC. That's why I don't touch my pokes with anything unnecessary. I want them to be legit for if I ever do contests too. Wouldn't that be funny, me in a VGC.
    No, I don't know anyone with that spread for shiny, but if you don't care about shiny, I can get you one that's not shiny with that spread. It'll do the same job, just won't be sparkly.

    Check this conversation with Mattj who has been to VGC. I hope it will relieve any anxiety you have about pokes from ROM files.
