Uh, maybe we fight some corrupted monster things (you decide where to pull them from), we run, Ana makes some offhand comment about how this place seems like a big sludge pile of random things from random dimensions or something similar and Elhrich puts the pieces together.

I agree. Being sick with three things at once blows.
Correct: top screen is busted and although the bottom screen is ok, the top part is hanging by a thread.....well, slightly more than a thread, but you get the idea >.>
Anyway, here are my takes on the starters:
1). Torterra: great stats (minus speed) and awesome coverage, but typing kills it later on in the story (especially the ice routes)
2). Infernape: great stats, coverage, and typing, but it's frailness and weakness to the water types will be an issue.
Empoleon: nice bulk and typing, but it is lacking coverage seriously >.>
What starter do you recommend for a Platnium Nuzelocke?
I have never truely done one because my old DS with GBA capability died before I could even battle my first trainer >.>
