And for the most part, yes. Once you find a team you like just use it over and over and over again and it starts to work well.
I never do. For the most part it's to confusing to me. Some of the strategies confuse me a lot.

Ya. Thats what I do, but when I am just fooling around on PO i make teams that are really bad, yet really cute.
Ya. But it's still adorable. I think that a Pokemon's cuteness is more important then how good competitively it is (Which is why I'm not that good of a battler.)
Ya. I really wish I hadn't stopped playing Little Cup. When I learned how to RNG I stopped battling :/

yeah i agree with that. we're used to sand so the only thing that really could be broken about it is sand rush excadrill. i dunno about drought though.

yeah it's just a bit overkill in ou. at least in uu there's a triangle of how the weather starters beat each other, but the fact that kyurem and victini are there too doesn't make things any less boring.
