Haha I know how you feel. Especially mine. Constant stalling with Aboma, Walrein, and even Smeargle. Haha since I started using a more defensive team, most people flee.
Eh, it happens. Stall gets so boring to play against that people generally lose focus and mess up here and there.

And he is using an Emulator, such as Desmume, because there you can save stats (saving an image of the game, without saving it ingame) and such things.
Hm... This is not supposed to happen. ir-gts is a little less intuitive, but it works like a charm here.
Well, HyperGTS and ir-gts work both ways. So you can either send a .pkm file to the game, as receive a Pokémon in a .pkm file.

The date still doesn't matter.
It is obtained through WiFi through those dates.
That doesn't mean it is obtained in the game at those dates.
I could pick it up at the Pokemart in any year/date/day possible.
Just posting this because you still don't seem to believe quite possibly the most generous users on this site...
Note that when you are offered an event, you have to pick up the event from the event person in the PokeMart (this is actually via Wi-Fi). That could be any date, while the time the event was actually implemented on the day was within the timeslot you have talked about. And, I did not obtain the Celebi this year; it was last year during summertime (when I had my free time). So it pretty much fits.
The date doesn't matter. For example, if I were to use this spread:
