They will respond to your message and arrange a time to meet you in the wifi room. You dont need the battle finder. You can send visitor messages back and forth. you can use any OU pokes, but the gym leader has to use 4 grass type pokemon.
If you beat them, you get that gym badge.
That is good. do you know how to tell if they are online?
You can look at their control panel and if the there is a spot next to their name that is either dark if they are offline or green if they are online.
You have to leave a message for thm on their thread in the BABA gyms social group.
