not at all. I currently have a tyrogue with bullet punch in 4th gen. I can trade it to captain so he evolves it into a hitmontop, teaches him close combat and then breed it with a machop for the one in your wants list :)

well that doesn't mean you can't improve on your own while waiting for the experts, trust me, look at some videos to give yourself an idea of the most common threats in doubles and how does each pokemon synergize with their partners, it will become pretty obvious when a team works and when not ;)
autumn friendly maybe? lol these days are crazy because of it, last night Japan (the user not the country xP) wanted me to clone a pokemon for him and for V4victini, the later holding the pokemon right now, but we ended up postponing it since he's way too into autumn friendly right now xD

ask for videos or look them up in the WFC (use the last option for the parameters). that's how I've come to realize about some crazy strategies, that plus the analyses on smogon help out a lot :P

well kinda, I don't like not being able to change my team in the middle of a tournament since I want to try so many stuff but oh well.... I can always get to my battle partners (*stares at Captain*) xP

so far I have tried only Terrakion, Landorus and Infernape the later being my best lead both at random matchup and battle subway ;)
For Cloyster (yep evolved and EV trained again and finally got some water stones xD) I have yet to find the proper support and timing to setup shell smahes but then again, I didn't have that many EV'd pokemon back then xP the rest... we'll see where can I fit them.
