    yo, not gonna get involved with aegi discussion b/c i don't really like OU and haven't played w/ it, but the blanket check argument i feel is what's supposed to alleviate teambuilding issue. it's more about allotting teamslots to troublesome mons than those mons being 'broken.'

    i didn't play xy aegi meta so i don't know about aegi itself but i think that 'broken checks broken' when on a lesser scale such as this (tornt etc. aren't really broken or suspect worthy) loses a lot of its value.

    i guess this is more of a suspect philosophy thing lol idk, also ya aegi is still prolly broken from what i've seen.
