I have done it on retail carts but I don't anymore because my Pokemon White froze a couple of times :/.

Hmm... that's odd have you tried changing your months and years?
Are you using more than 1 keypress? If not I suggest doing that.
You need to know your Parameters, once you find your parameters look for a flawless ssed. You will need to know it's starting PID. Take your full seed and input that seed into the seed box in Pandoras Box, you must know what PID frame you want as well so you will need to insert that frame number into the frame box. Then click search for IDs. The starter Pokemon True/False box means that your starter pokemon can be shiny from that TID/SID combo.
For capturing or for breeding? If you are searching for capture, check the Search for Nearby Shiny Frames, and max shiny frame is max 250. Then for the IV's, search for >=30 in every IV. Then it'll search for either 30's or 31's

You get lower shiny PIDs, cool ID numbers. I ID abuse in black and white to get low shiny PIDs with Synchronise frame so that I can catch shiny Pokemon with any nature
I don't know dude, I haven't abused my ID/SID combo in Black yet. I don't think it's very useful tho :P
