It sucks I ran into someone as good as you in my first battle. I didn't think (or really dare to hope) I'd get too far, but I was hoping for a win or two. My main regret is that my Pokemon didn't have a chance to work to their full potential (apart from Octillery, I guess, who got that cheeky slow Water Spout in). Ah well, c'est la vie, right? At least I've got the reassurance that the person who beat me went far. Haha. You might see me again next year, depending on whether or not uni kills my Pokemon battling flame (I'll definitely not have as much time on my hands next year...). I'll have to hang around this site to check out how far you get. Wishing you all the luck with worlds, and it would be great to have a British world champion. (Particularly great for me if the world champion was the guy who knocked me out, all the more better for my poke-self esteem. Heh.) You planning on entering with the same team, or something new?

Yeah, that's me. I'm a sucker for Pokemon you don't see used in competition too often, which is my Achilles heel, I guess. (There are reasons they're not seen often...) You were right on with your guess, Bronzong was going to set up a Trick Room in the first turn. So I was pretty humped from the moment it went down. That's the major hole in my squad, one Trick Room-er, and anyone who sees it coming and shuts it down and I'm in trouble. With its defenses, Levitate and an Occa berry it'll survive most attacks, but Kyogre's Water Spout in rain? 1HKO. I did have an alternate lead in the wings with Fake Out, but I like my Aggron, and hoped I'd fare okay with it in the first round. (But on second thoughts, given you had a Pokemon with Fake Out too, that wouldn't have helped.)

Congratulations on your win! Makes me feel a little bit better to know that the guy who knocked me out in the first round went on to make second place, too. Haha.
