    Nah, radio/elm advancements are really really fast in HG/SS. Faster than Journal flipping and more accurate imo since you can actually verify what frame you're on by simply calling elm. You can't frame verify in Platinum until after RNG...which is kinda useless anyways, XD.

    Sorries about that - I keep onf orgetting to put it, huh? I see what you mean now by me being "dodgy" with the questions...though I sooo do not mean to, lolz. I'm a student at University of Texas :)

    Lol - advancing frame via walking in grass is a bad idea. You should only really do it under circumstances in which you have to. Journal advancements or elm calling (depending on your game) works better. Repel does nothing to affect the frame advancement though.

    Frame advancements = target frame - roamer - sweet scent/fishing advancements is true in this case since you're not interacting with a legendary but rather luring it in :P

    Word of the wise though, if you're going to capture...you should really capture shinies only...which calls for abusing your ID/SID. It's really not worth it elsewise save 5th generation for now.
    No, RNG Reporter should have encounter slots for you. Just enter your information on the first page (seed, synch, etc) and right click on your desired spread. The rest should be self explanatory for encounter slots :)

    And nopers on 5th gen, lolz. Haven't opened mine either! :P

    That time wasting is exactly what caused me to screw up my last year. Not that it mattered too much, though - passed some vital exams that didn't involve on-campus schoolwork.

    Simply, no need to do it. Nor the effort to - as I only own Pokemon Pearl at the moment. Emulators are laggy and I'm not too thrilled about that kind of RNG.

    Quite close, surprisingly. My intended major would be Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Haven't finalized which, though. But I'm currently in college prep due to utterly wasted time in High School.

    But, by next year I'll likely be settled in Uni somewhere in the U.S., so I'm not bothered.

    LOLZ! I think you're misunderstanding - I'm a junior in college right now. Pharmacy is post-studies :P And ahaha, I like those statistics, but I've already worked in a pharmacy so I know what I'm getting myself into :D

    Hehe well considering I have like.. all of my boxes full of battle ready Pokémon in SS it is a LOT to trade and too time consuming to do one at a time ! :P

    It's not trading with yourself is it? Over WiFi GTS? :P Cause that'd be like.. super slow! Rather than trading 6 at a time with two DS's and game carts. ^^

    And that's alright, no point in learning now anyways really is there ! =P If anything, we should be learning 5th gen....

    Hehe yes, I think that might be with the help of an AR or similar.. download them to a small memory card you can insert with save files and what not.. :P Not really into it!
    Ahaha! Yeah, but isn't 5th gen abuse harder than 4th gen though in respect to the actual shiny process? Id/SID abuse would be easy imo, lol. Who knows what you have to do for 5th gen, haha.

    I don't think A/M is all that party. Kingsville is a very small town and it's not like they'll go to corpus christi daily, lol. In any case, it's just Tech offers more clinical based study and is around longer than A/M that made me lean towards them for my graduate studies (though UT/UH is probably first on the list - I don't hear back until about a month's time).

    And yeah...musicmeister would know how to abuse it for sure too :) He's nice, shouldn't be too much of a problem methinks ^^

    ...and herm...I don't know...of the two, Texas Tech is more to my liking (the town it's in and the overall feel) but I'm just happy I got into at least one! :D

    PID isn't tied to IVs anymore. So basically you can catch any nature with any combination of IVs. The only reason one would RNG their ID/SID is for a lower PID frame.
    Dead? I responded to you...lol...just yesterday :P or early today :P

    Erm, ID/SID abuse in gen 5 is weird, so I don't know. I imagine bond/kaphotics/omega donut does but they're busy, XD. I don't think shininess is done that way anymore though...but maybe I'm wrong...haven't had much time to look into it, XD.
