  • Hello! I saw your group "Team Pokemon Rangers" in the social groups place. I am an alright battler and I love spam. Could I perhaps join?
I was quite disappointed to find out that Fawful died at the end of Bowser's Inside Story, but hopefully he'll make his return in the next game as a ghost or something of the like (seeing as how he's been the only continuous non-main character in all three of the games).
Are you talking about my name, the word or Fawful? I can't tell since you capitilized "Chortle". Oh well, I'll just answer them all:

Throughout the games I've played, few characters have made me laugh, and the ones that did haven't done so at a very high magnitude. However, the villain Fawful from the Mario and Luigi series has achieved making me laugh, and quite hard at times, especially in the last installment of the series so far. The exclamation "I have chortles!" was brought up a number of times, which I found odd, but it seemed to fit his character more than any of the other exclamations he used, so combining the fact that Fawful made me laugh quite a bit and the fact that "chortle" is just an amazing word, I decided to take the non-plagiaristic path and name myself "TheChortler".
I think that the groups are doing fairly decent at the moment. A lot of the earlier contention seems to be dying down and people seem quite a bit less spiteful. The groups are quite fun right now, but I've noticed that the most active group by far is Team Neutral at the moment, and I think that's because it has the most active leader by far. When a group leader doesn't post for a while, I've noticed that the groups tend to die a bit (which is why Aero, ASI, Magma, BABA, TRC, and TPR are the most active groups, and possibly the Hell Razors, although I haven't had much time to examine them yet) and I wish that some of the old groups that were created, like Pokepeculiarities and a few other groups had more active leaders, which would definitely be the start of a revival. Other than that, though, everything's peachy.
Pippy, the Global Link should be ready soon, just making sure you are ready for me to post it.

    I PM'd you the article.

Edit: When can I expect the AT?
I haven't actually tried any of them out. The only one's I am currently aware of are the new Kami trio formes as well as the stats of the new Kyurems. The Kyurem's, I think, are going to vastly change the Ubers metagame just because of their massive offenses.
From the little I've seen (and hopefully it'll stay that way until the U.S. release), it looks like it'll be great as far as battling goes. I hope they don't botch the continuation of the storyline though, they had a pretty good plot with its predecessor. The thing I'm hoping for the most, though, is a Battle Frontier. I'm very much looking forward to its release!
Eventually, I got fed up with not being able to look at the DW Lapras analysis and joined Smogon. I had no idea how to navigate through the pages and got stuck in the Social Group section, and that's where I've primarily remained today.
I was then brought to the smogon battle frontier record page that I believe Peterko is/was in charge of. Through that, I discovered EVs, IVs, and how to build a decent team (originally, I thought that you had to level up to get the EVs against the pokemon, and was quite confused when I wasn't having very much success, and didn't quite figure this out until B/W had been out for a couple months). I then began using Smogon analysises to construct teams, and acted merely as a guest to the website. After a while, they began making it so that you had to be a member to view these analysises.
Well... I'm don't quite remember how I found smogon, but here's my best guess. Originally, when I was anticipating getting Diamond version (long after it had already been released), I wanted to get an amazing team ready that had no weaknesses, but I had one problem: I didn't know what any of the fourth gen. pokemon were. So I googled "Sinnoh Pokedex Complete" and found pokemon.marriland.com, and I used that for a long period of time. After Platinum came out, I was curious as to what the world record was for the streaks in the battle facilities.
Hrm...all right I'll try...2-4 PM? (Is it two hours before or two hours after?)
I received Yellow version for Christmas when I was 7, then got Red version shortly after (although I don't remember how or when). My cousins on both sides of my family were very much into it, and as a result, it was quite competetive (although no one knew anything about EVs and IVs yet). Eventually, people from one side of my family started dropping off, but everyone on the other side remained true, and they remain constant even today. Had there not been that competetive nature, I'm unsure as to whether I'd be here now or not.
Okay, I'm afraid I don't have a set schedule since I'm currently on a trip. Can we try to aim for maybe 10:00 AM either today or tomorrow. U.S. Mountain Time.
