If you have school then it can wait^_^ Im ok with emulators, as long as it has technician. And about transferring, I dont know much about how to transfer thru emulators except by using a flashcard to get the save file onto a catridge or sending the pokemon into a personal gts with a customized dns using pokesav :p Ill try to find out more about it. I think smogon has a guide on it

edit: Just checked, ability 0 on scyther is swarm, so scyther will have to be caught on your platinum rom with ability 1.

edit 2: Seems you need some form of a link cable to get the rom file onto a flashcart in order to trade it into a catridge, or download some program called python(google transfer rom pokemon dns gts for a guide) then use pokesav to load a pkm file thats in your party , then change your ds's dns settings so it connects to a custom gts you made yourself and go to the gts in game and you automatically recieve the pokemon file onto your game as a pokemon. Although its complicated
