Creative and Underrated Movesets in UU

it's still a subpar set to the choice band but Entei @ Life Orb Adamant Nature 252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 4 HP Sacred Fire Stone Edge Extremespeed Flame Charge With only an adamant nature available for Extremespeed sets, Entei's speed could still use some patching. I found Flame Charge to be a good...

should also be worth noting that Articuno gets Mind Reader/Sheer Cold. If you're standing at both of them together not being able to 3HKO you, you can just let off guaranteed sheer colds without much worry.

Battle Spot - Simple Questions and Answers

Snorlax's best niche is being a set-up tank with stupid high HP and Special bulk, and a plethora of boosting moves such as Curse, Stockpile, Amnesia, and Belly Drum. only problem is that the opponent basically has be to asleep at the wheel in order for Snorlax to start becoming something scary...

Mega Metagross => A Disagree. While there are arguments saying that there are safe switch ins and mons that wall Megagross, lets not forget the reason why Megagross was put on suspect to begin with, that he does have an answer for his counters. Grass Knot can be carried to deal with fat walls...

Battle Spot - Simple Questions and Answers

Eviolite Dusclops is just a frustrating beast that sits there and doesn't die as it will-o-wisp's targets and maybe packs a night shade, but has only recovery moves in Rest and Pain Split, neither are stellar options for a wall. There's also a curse set with trick room for it, and the even more...

status: check Metagrosss @ Metagrossite Naive Nature 252 Atk/ 252 SPE/ 4 SAtk Meteor Mash Zen Headbutt Pursuit Grass Knot Gross Knot being used to give Megagross decent mixed attacking potential has been used since the guy came out, but I've continued to use him to lure in fat mons like...

Battle Spot - Simple Questions and Answers

I don't think having 4x weaknesses changes the dynamics of pokemon holding Assault Vest over anything else. You are still aware that you're not gonna leave AV Tyranitar in on a Breloom just as you would never leave him in holding anything else. But I do agree that the mon should have some form...

If M-Sableye leaves the tier, We'll probably get to see more usage out of Mega Gallade with one of his most reliable counters gone. Weird Sets/Gimmicks You've Run on Battle Spot?

There was a gimmick I used to fun effects back during XY. Skarmory @ Life Orb Jolly Nature Weak Armor Ability 252 ATK/ 252 SPE/ 4 HP Swords Dance Brave Bird Iron Head Pursuit/Roost Essentially turning Skarmory into a pseudo-talonflame. You eat the physical hit to set off the speed boost that...

Singles Break that Core (Week 17: Hippowdon + Lucario + Dragonite) ~ VOTING (post #395)

voting for 6tennis. Hydreigon's never done me any wrong as a special wallbreaker. With solid STAB's (and a boosted Draco Meteor being an absolute nuke) and fire/ground/fighting/steel as coverage options, Hydreigon is a solid choice to overwhelm this core. I was very suspecious of nomming...

Battle Spot - Simple Questions and Answers

as Carbonific said, aim for 0 if you want Gyro Ball. I usually opt for Heavy Slam for the more consistent damage as you'll be hitting 120 BP more often than Gyro Ball's max BP of 150, since Gyro Ball can be upset by those super slow tanks out there. But to each their own.

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry Adamant Nature 252 HP/252 ATK/ 4 SPE Belly Drum Play Rough Aqua Jet Knock Off Guess I have to be THAT GUY and nominate everyone's most hated mouse with more tankiness than it deserves. But the set is simple as simple gets. Neither mons have the tools to effectively...

Singles Break that Core (Week 17: Hippowdon + Lucario + Dragonite) ~ VOTING (post #395)

gonna vote for Can't Say. Conkeldurr is probably one of the most consistent pokemon I've used. You can always rely on him to tank the hits he's supposed to take and dish out stronger hits in return. Even though Moody's RNG can spit out something like evasion or defense at the drop of a hat, I...
