a "Combination attack" is not a legal sub class since that encompasses for every type which would be 18 subs in one. You can only sub for a specific type like a "Damaging Fire Type Combination"

Is it ok if I use training items? All they do is give me extra rewards, they don't affect the flow of the battle at all.

In ASB,,Tutor moves do not count as TM moves; they are different.

In ASB, for pokemon without any egg moves, you are to select 5 Tutor moves instead. So, Rufflet would get 5 tutor moves instead of 10 TM/HM moves.
