Well Vratix, the time has come. It's you and I this round of SPL3, and most people seem to think it's the match of the round. When are you free? I'm on summer now, so I'm ok most of the time, but I'm on GMT.

I wouldn't go that far, but thanks for the compliments.

Anyway, the best advice I can give you (as far as in-battle stuff goes, and besides just knowing the rules) is use arenas creatively. Most refs will reward creative playing, as long as you make the intended effects clear. In one of my earlier matches (reffed by Its_A_Random), there was a boiler that would generate accuracy-lowering steam if you used enough water attacks on it. In an attempt to dodge a Toxic, I had my then-Bagon Hydro Pump the boiler to try and lower my opponent's accuracy. It completely backfired; Toxic still hit, and my Bagon's Brick Break missed later in the round, but you can see what I'm getting at.

Oh, and always keep a close eye on your Pokemon's energy. I lost a Battle Subway challenge on Battle 1 because I ran out of energy from not paying enough attention.

Damn it. Lava Plume doesn't really work but eruption might, if he can't stand the spiceyness of the food he's eating? Or something... other fire moves are ember, fire blast, overheat, will-o-wisp, heat wave and blast burn.

Just a question, with your challenge, a cyndaquil, that must know smokescreen, toxic and two other attacks that 'reflect it's heartburn', would flamethrower and hyper beam fit that category? If not, could you please recommend other moves that would?
