What is referee whitelisting?Whitelisted referees can ref Level 4 challenges, and thus whitelist status permits players to earn
Star Pieces from more sources than just Events.

Non-whitelisted referees can ref Circuit, but whitelisted users will be preferred when possible.
How do I become whitelisted?
Users can seek whitelist status by submitting links to three (3) reffings completed by themselves, in which they themselves are both timely (using no Battle Hours) and relevant (having reffed at least three rounds), in this thread's queue.
Moderators and approvers will review submitted reffings for the above criteria upon request, and either approve or refuse the submission. If refused, users can re-submit once they've made replacements for the offending reffings.
A referee's playing ability is much less important than their timeliness and reffing accuracy. You don't need to be an ace player to attain whitelist status.
Can I lose whitelist status?Moderators and approvers will be vigilant for ref-DQs of whitelisted users, and will tally them on the whitelist in periodic batches.
Whitelisted referees can remove strikes from themselves by submitting one (1) complete, timely, and relevant reffing (just as above), that finished after they received their strike, for each strike they would like to remove.
Referees that accumulate three (3) strikes will be removed from the whitelist. Once removed, the referee can re-attain whitelist status by submitting complete and timely reffings, that are completed after the referee was delisted, just like they did before. There's no cooldown period, so referees can re-apply as soon as they're delisted if desired.
We recommend that referees make use of Referee Assist to avoid being ref-DQ'd. (See 12.7b "Referee Assist")
