idk if mannat gets a trophy but by extension congrats if he does as hes been a good teammate in the tours we've been together and it feels deserving for him to get it after spl

The fact we managed to take this win, against all odds, is still mindblowing to me; with some staggering upsets, frustrating lows, and galvanizing highs, I would do it all over again. I am beyond honored to have been able to team with these wonderful players, and for anybody who manages in other tournaments, please consider our team members! They are filled to the brim with drive, passion, and energy; without them, this experience would not have been the same.

MANNAT blank Thank you two for believing in me, when I couldn't even really believe in myself. I've questioned a lot about my ability to even be an active part of this team, but you two have helped me build confidence in a managerial position, and I was able to do what I could to support my team the best way I could. I am still learning, but I am indebted to you two for your belief in me.

In addition to being really chill and nice presences to talk to, you are all incredible players with your own quirks and abilities, and our performance in this tour is proof of how staggering you guys are as players and as teammates. You all have had your low moments, but you have always gotten back up and tried again. It paid off, and I'm beyond proud of all of you.

OreoSpeedruns Potatochan TDNT Although only Oreo was on the official roster, all three of you have been incredible to the ambiance and overall environment of the team. Not only are you guys a blast to talk to, but you're all really insightful and really astute in your respective tiers. I would encourage anybody looking for players in Ubers or SS to consider Oreo and TDNT respectively, and also consider Potatochan as general support!

And of course, thank you to all of our cheerleaders, including (sadly) spoo.

To my team and whoever supported us:
I'm extremely sorry. I really gave my heart, EVERYTHING, to win this tournament but it did not work out at the end. I'm happy about my performance, despite the loss I'm still proud of my team mates and I'm especially grateful to Team Italy that always makes me feel welcomed like a real family. I'm extremely sorry we disappointed whoever believed in us but I promise we'll come back.
It's clear that we have not been spectacular both in prep and in game play in all the match ups, so without any doubt we need to improve, but I swear to god we'll come back stronger next time. This is my promise to whoever believes in us.

I don't plan to do huge s/o post but I want to s/o all the helpers and especially the newbyes of the team who worked hard as hell to carry us. If any new italian player is reading this, please, contact me, I'll make sure to do my best to involve you in the community.

my brother, i am so proud of how you stepped up in a difficult spot these past few weeks. it was an honor to work with you and see first hand how receptive you were to any sort of direction. no nonsense bullshit, an open mind, very receptive to feedback, and he made his own stuff too. anyone would be lucky to have you on their team.

to the banned one, mannat/littlelucario, its been a long journey. 11 years or some shit? admittedly, at times theres fights and disagreements but at the end of the day unity and a clear vision, particularly in this old ass tier of gen6. thank you for all the support and stepping up in your own right in quarters, as well as your continued support these past few weeks in keeping us on task especially. you've grown a lot just in these past two months even.

to blank, its been about 9 or so years now of working thru stuff together? not many are able to handle your uh, personality. but there's always been good intentions behind your actions. your vision has finally beared the fruits. relax a bit now

to Tace, aight this one is the one for me. I've had the pleasure of working closely with tace for a long time now and to see him grow, literally become a man, and take control of his shit in here and elsewhere has truly been something to behold. I know you beat yourself up over the finals game but the team was there to uplift you after you did so much for them. this man is a problem for a lot of you around here....

Huge congrats to my friends Tace Luthier and kythr for being the pillars for midwest year after year. Y'all worked really hard and I'm glad Tace especially popped off. Also big congrats to ausma for her first trophy and kudos to avarice for subbing into ORAS of all tiers and defeating a scary opponent in McMeghan off the bat and clutching it up in finals against another tough opponent.

While we may butt heads and differ in opinion frequently, I cannot deny that starry is a very good leader/manager and has done well with leading Midwest the last few years. You never gave up and kept pushing and got rewarded for your hard work and belief in your teammates. You deserve to enjoy this victory a lot.

I know Mannat definitely cooked up a handful of teams and played a vital role down the stretch, so congrats on your first trophy and try to not get banned next time.

Special mention to Frito and Expulso for being further help with Ubers bc god knows I could not have filled that role on my own.

On a serious note, I'm gonna be taking a break from the game for a bit. Between this tour, UPL, and some other tours, it's gotten to the point where the game feels like a chore to play. Maybe that's just current SV Ubers being laughably dogshit, but regardless, this game is ultimately a hobby and I want to be playing it because I enjoy it and not because I have to be preparing for one good player after another. In conjunction with the fact that these next several months are gonna be big ones for me and I really need time to get my shit together, I think a break is the best course of action for me as of now.

Now I don't wanna talk about the loss, don't wanna talk about my score, or about the fact that this, from the very beginning, was supposed to be the one last dance for many of us. There'll be time to process all of this

For once I just want to say how proud I am of the environment that we built trough the years, people I can call friends, people I grew up with for the last 9 years of my life. I don't think I'm going too far when I say the reason our roster is so scary is due to the synergy the members have with each other, and the strong sense of community that makes us want to win the blue trophy not just for ourselves, but actually for every italian player.

I took this screenshot during the decider games of the last day of R1, it really shows what to me is the best part of the game we play. There isn't much else to say.

I wanna thank my mates for trusting me in organizing the tournament as captain (together with squitta and paolo) and also for putting their trust on me even when my score was pathetic. It was their decision to let me play week after week, even when I wasn't performing, and this gesture meant a lot to me. I'm really sorry guys I didn't bring it home in the end :(

As a final note, I don't know if I will be there next year to play WCoP, but I'm completely confident about the future of Team Italy. We don't just have great veterans, but also great new talents that didn't have much room for display in this tour but def deserved it. So beware of us, we are coming back in 2025!
