Project National Dex Bazaar

High Risk + High Reward squad with UR mons - 1698 peak reached Top 500 with it

Hey Folks. I decided to try out a challenge with favourite starter trio and i love underdog stories in nat dex OU. So I decided to make a team for the same.

The Team - https://pokepast.es/819b6b559dfdc829

Mega Sceptile is my favourite mega of all time. I also feel its good special attack and amazing speed give it some unique perks. Giga Drain is for stab and recovery + damage. Dragon Pulse is stab and Leaf Storm is a strong grass move to ohko stuff like Alamamola and Donozo. Dont forget he outspeeds mega lopunny and tapu koko which is huge. Focus Blast also says Foff to Kingambit.

Feraligatr is my favourite water starter of all time. It's Water with 4 attacks and Liquidation with adamant sheer force is the selling point. Crunch for psychics, Ice Punch for Dragons and Aqua Jet for frail fires. The speed is for base 70s and some HP for a bit of bulk. Did not go for Dragon Dance, Swords Dance or agility as its not fast not enough and not exactly powerful enough for an agility sweep.

Infernape is my favourite fire starter of all time. I went for SD with Flare Blitz, Close Combat (both strong stabs with negative effects like recoil and defence drops respectively). Mach is priortiy to say foff to Kingambit. I went for firium Z with Blaze and i was considering rocks but without mach punch, Kingambit is so annoying.

Latios is the special scarfer with trick, luster purge, mystical fire and draco meteor. It outspeeds even mega pert in rain which is phenomenal.

Revaroom is the steel type and toxic immunity of the team. I went with air baloon for initial ground immunity with shift gear + 3 attacks. Gunk Shot is strong stab albeit with shaky accuracy. Temper Flare is for Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor and Corvknight. High Horsepower is for Heatran and Raging Bolt. Reva is quite effective as a late game cleaner once grounds are chipped.

Killowatrel is the other special attacker of the team. Went with choice specs for more power. Hurricane, Thunderbolt, Volt switch and Air Slash are the moves. Air Slash is useful to ohko great tusk and waterpon. Hurricane is needed for mega venusaur.

Peak exceeded with my Incineroar Team now peak 1746

I already made an RMT post with this team and I have poseted on the bazaar. https://pokepast.es/5c3fd90bcf71d008 . I just want to say with this team I surpassed my peak of 1703 and my new Peak is 1746 with this replay - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldex-2254552922-4qvp3318qsrinsto8gei5612tuc170cpw?p2.

Check out my RMT post for explanation of that team.

Fight Z Lele+AV Melm Offense
:tapu lele::melmetal::alomomola::latios-mega::samurott-hisui::great tusk:
One of my favorite teams so far, this excels at making progress quickly into a lot of the metagame while also being quite hard to break thanks to Alomomola passing massive wishes to Melmetal, all the while Melm, Lele, and Mega Latios do a great job of battering the opponent. Scarf Hamurott compresses speed control and spikes, Great Tusk is Rocks+Spin for compression. Really fun team.

After some time messing around with the post-tera meta, I finally managed to cook up something nice which brought me up to 1718 (which would be top 200)

Behold the most overkill hstack mega pinsir team ever:

https://pokepast.es/bf1b5e89ca51f7e8

Well, everything here is pretty obvious: stack spikes with samurott (or rocks with tusk depending on matchups), add some webs with araquanid, use gholdengo to keep them up. Use pinsir to break stuff and valliant to clean.

Now into the specifics:

Pinsir is very interesting physical breaker/sweeper with an amazing stab in aerialate frustration (facade is also an option), great priority with quick attack and good coverage options in eq/cc/stone edge. This team runs eq to beat gholdengo and have a contactless option against teams trying to chip you down with helmets. Pinsir can take advantage of webs but they are not mandatory for it to put in work, due to its nice speed tier, outspeeding garchomp and lele (add webs for scarf). interestingly, it also barely outspeeds fully invested deoxys-s.

The hazard management support (araq, hsam, tusk, ghold) provides setting, keeping and removal of various hazards to help your offensive core break. Together they also bring a decent defensive profile and options against most hazard removals (such as moltres). On the utility part, twave hex gholdengo is a brilliantly well rounded mon, tusk carries a valuable knock off and araq can set an additional hazard with magic coat, like getting rocks without bringing tusk in.

We also have a standard valiant set to revenge kill stuff, add a fairy type, and some mixed punching power. Also another knock to remove those boots.

Gameplay tips:
Pinsir and ival are your wincons. Spikes chip to death may be an option, but the team generally doesnt have the longevity to stall an opponent with hazards. Hazards are just an aid for an ohko with pinsir, not a standalone ko tool. In exceptional cases, ghold or hsam may also clean late.

Notable opponents:
-zardY - araquanid eats this thing for breakfast
-mega diancie - enjoy getting 6-0d. Perhaps a scarf hsam could be considered? Also, pre mega clear body is a one time webs immunity
-archaludon - ghold can face it but an electro shot prediction may be needed
-dragapult - hope its not clear body dd

Potential changes:
- scarf hsam. Sadly I found sd and switching moves to be appealing 9/10 times when hsam has to actually attack and not simply stack

-destiny bond ival. I did not find encore to be too impactful, destiny bond may be better for taking out key targets (such as moltres)

- different araq set. The 40 def helps live 2 ceaseless from hsam, which is not something I have ever found myself needing.

FIRIUM Z CINDERACE WEBS
desperate likes i need to uncook my ratio
:araquanid: :garchomp: :cinderace: :gholdengo: :raging-bolt: :iron-valiant:

wanted to build a super anti-chary webs bc webs hates chary teams which r everywhere
:araquanid: the setter of the team, picked over ribombee because of magic coat+better bulk and damage
:garchomp: threatening sweeper, an endgame garchomp can easily get out of hand. conveniently uses chary as set up fodder
:cinderace: firium z looks extremely unconventional, but it actually works hilariously well. rocks and spikes chip with passive chip from flip turns or weak hurricanes can activate blaze with cinderace, which when paired with swords dance and a z move can burst past a lot of supposed walls. it nukes tusk and moltres in that range. not using normal z lets us use more coverage, with hjk to hit the rocks and heatran, and sucker hitting pult
:gholdengo: insanely good. not only does it effective block spin with balloon, but it can block defog and act as a threatening wincon. gliscor drops to boosted make it rain, and focus blast 2khos ting lu.
:raging-bolt: patching up a few holes, rbolt here is just the standard booster timid set, but with draco over dp for damage that can ohko gliscor
:iron-valiant: another weird set, this ival is modest psyshock. the idea is that it baits pex and the blobs, destroying clodsire fats and balances while still having the slot to use shadow ball for gholdengo
i managed to climb to 1858 #17 on an alt before THIS happened that made me actually crash out

Salamence + Mega Sceptile + Umbreon + Specs Skelidirge - Peak 1700

Its me again with more unorthodox stuff. I decided to groundium Z Salamence with leech seed Mega Sceptile alongside specs skelidirge and Umbreon. Dual Wingbeat and Earthquake are standard on Salamence with sub + Dragon Dance to get more DDs. I also have haze toxapex to stop HO from brainless set up. Scald to burn stuff, toxic and recover are there too. I have Dragon Pulse and Leaf Storm as standard stabs on Mega Sceptile and Focus Blast for coverage on steels. Yes we are walled by gholdengo but we can still play around it later. Umbreon has Dragapult on toast and foul plays any set up shaningans. Toxic is to criple so many threats like Volcarona and Zard Y and spam moonlight. Excadrill is the source of ground immunity, hazard removal and setting up rocks and checking raging bolt. I have gone for a spread focusing on more speed with spdef evs. Toxic again to criple more stuff. Skelidirge can take several mons by surprise and the speed is too outspeed base 55s with it. Earth Power shocks Heatran and does damage to Tyranitar and Mega Tyranitar. Skeli checks valiant and volcarona for me here. Overall we spam toxic here and look for Mega Sceptile to seed up and wait for Salamence for winning games when the situation is right. The Umbreon ev spread is too make it bulky on both sides of the spectrum since its spdef is high, I did not got for max spdef. Rocky Helmet is to chip physical attackers and u-turns.

Salamence does come here with the benefit of moxie which allows it snowball late game when its got 2 dragon dances. Leftovers gives Excadrill more recovery. The toxapex evs were from SV OU gen 9 I believe which give it good mixed bulk. Toxapex obviously has regenerator, Skelidirge still has unaware for defensive utility vs set up mons and Excadrill has mold breaker which can get up rocks vs mega sableye and diancie and toxic them.

I used to run lefties on Umbreon but I changed it to boots because my hazard control is not reliable. In addition, I also beat screens HO but i forgot to save a replay of it.

Conclusion - I have good days and bad days with this team so a little on the inconsistent side but something different to try out. I have been in the range of 1500-1700 with this team. 1700 is well within top 500 so good enough for laddering maybe.

Peak Exceeded now 1700 with my team High Risk + High Reward squad with UR mons

I already made post with this team on the bazaar on 13th December 2024. The team which has Mega Sceptile, Feraligatr, Infernape, Latios, Killowatrel and Revaroom. You can see the explanation of the team on that post itself and several replays there.

However, I am here to state that the official 1700 target has been achieved with the team as per this replay. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldex-2269789495-me1e053wsh2v7xkvttliu9xnuhuuk84pw?p2 Here. It was 1698 earlier now its officially 1700.

In addition, I also beat Ezra (a high ranked player on the Nat Dex ladder for the second time with this team) here - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldex-2269779568-zw2udo57dexqyatpgtculjhbmb8rs1fpw

This team is a sample submission

I decided to make this team using the 2 best phy and spd wall i can think of, landorus-t and assault vest iron crown. These 2 mons can also deal lots of dmg with the combination of future sight and earthquake. Since these 2 mons don't have reliable healing i decided to add on Alomomola as a wish passer and slow pivot.

Then for an offensive core i decided to capitalize on iron crown's future sight by adding zamazenta and mega tyranitar, zamazenta provides a strong fighting move in close combat, and mega tyranitar provides knock off support and rocks. Not only that but it also has the ability to pursuit trap pokemon such as gholdengo and dragapult.

The team was looking quite slow so i decided to add a fast win condition in volcarona. However i decided not to run a full offensive volcarona here as i needed it to be able to stop threats such as mega medicham and mega lopunny using flame body.

The evs for alomomola maximizes it's healing from wish. While the evs for tyranitar allowed it to reach 221 speed outspeeding some bolt and landorus sets. Then the evs for zamazenta allows it to be slower than other zamazenta but still allowing it to outspeed mega lopunny, i purposely made zamazenta slower than other zamazenta because in a 1v1 situation with zamazenta and zamazenta if the opposing zamazenta uses close combat then they will recieve a defense drop allowing my zamazenta to do more damage and take less. Finally the evs for volcarona maximes it's speed while allowing it to live 2 flip turns from alomomola.

When playing this team, you should prioritize keeping mola healthy over any other mon, as it's ability regenerator is the glue to this team along with it's flip turn and wish. As long as mola stays healthy enough landorus-t and crown can be healed making the damage that they take not permanent. If mola is lost due to a critical hit or high roll, you should go all in on offense as once mola is lost the team is put on a timer

I believe it will be a helpful addition in the sample teams of the format due to being easy to use and showcasing a nice bulky offense structure in future sight + zamazenta + mega tyranitar

Looks awesome! I have experimented quite a bit with these mola ttar structures; if you are open to a suggestion, I would give fast bulky lando a try (max spe jolly, max hp, same moves) to take better advantage of taunt. I used to run the same team with glowking > crown and bulky scarf lando

Mega Sceptile + Heatran Offense
:Sceptile-mega::heatran::zamazenta::tapu-koko::tornadus::volcarona:

I was bored and decided to build around Mega Sceptile. Came up with the ScepTran core.

Zamazenta is there to be the fighting type and i chose banded Zamazenta to deal more damage. Wild Charge is to deal with things like Alomomola, Mega Charizard Y, etc.

Tapu Koko is there as the special attacker. I chose the EV spread to be able to survive a Choice Specs Iron Valiant's moonblast and then OHKO with Dazzling Gleam. Gigavolt Havoc is to OHKO positive nature 252 Special Defense and 252 HP EVs Toxapex.

Tornadus is there to be a defogger and just utility in general.

Volcarona is the sweeper of the team with Quiver Dance to set up.

The ScepTran core is decided because Heatran resists most of Mega Sceptile's weaknesses and vice versa.

Team story:
This team was brought on by a constant thought ever since :melmetal: came back after the tera ban; "What if I put :ursaluna: and :melmetal: together, but not on trick room". Boom, the new year came and I decided to finally quell this question and I tried my hand on teambuilding once more. Initially there was varying success as the team had :clefable: over :tapu lele: to make more of a para-spam team. However, :raging bolt: was a big issue to go up against and the team was surprisingly passive as :clefable: felt so off but I didn't know what to do. After a few chats in the NDOU room on showdown, I ended up taking an idea that was sprinkled over: :assault vest: + :tapu lele:. To the person that recommended this idea, I thank you a ton (and mainly because I can't remember your ps username) cause this was the exact thing this team needed, with :tapu lele: :assault vest: I could keep the defensiveness and apply pressure while resolving the :raging bolt: issue in one slot and having :landorus-therian: on the team created something that the opponent had to account for; what in the world was the scarf pokemon? And since Landorus is usually a pokemon you don't see often with scarf and tapu lele being the one you see with scarf, I can pick up suprise ko's against mons that thought had a free pivot or free set up like :scizor-mega: and :ferrothorn: as well as :kingambit: and now at the current time of this post I reached 1788 elo, a 75.3% gxe, and a placement of top 60 on ladder with this team alone.
Team Roles:
:Kommo-o::
This guy fills the role as a defensive check to both :ogerpon-wellspring: and :Charizard-Mega-Y: and to be the rocker of the team. I use kommo-o to put a defensive stop gap against those two while also suprisingly tanky against hist allowing it to get a toxic, last move on, or rocks. Bulletproof is also amazing at being a soft check to mons that use bullet moves like :ferrothorn: with gyro ball variants :dragapult: with shadow ball and so on.

:Alomomola:
The wish passing fiend, allows me to sponge hits, pivot, and heal teammates. (I don't really need to explain much about what this thing does)

:Landorus-Therian:
Speed control and allows for mind games with :tapu lele:, if I'm defensive or scarf, and gives me access to defog without needing to compromise on it's role.

:Tapu lele:: (Ignore the clefable)
Clefairy GIFs | Tenor

Checks :raging bolt: also provides strong offensive special attacker, and gives me good

:Ursaluna::
One of the main stars of this team. I don’t really need to explain, strong stall breaker and wall breaker, that abuses pivoting

:Melmetal::
The Second the star of the show, provides paralysis for :ursaluna: while also being a huge physical threat and the checks fairies

Difficult but not impossible matchups

:Urshifu: can be obnoxious but if you pivot right you can ease the matchup
Idbp :zamazenta: it’s difficult to go against it but the team does solidly against it if it doesn’t have heavy slam, my main strategy is trying to prevent it from subbing, heal and/or pivot into lele so I can force it out or get a ko

:Kingambit::Dragapult::Zamazenta::Diancie-Mega::Volcarona::Landorus-Therian:- Sample Submision
All the haters will say ho isnt good in the meta but i found alot of sucess with this hyper offense i built when tera initially got banned. I wanted to build something with gambit pult and zama core as it looked very powerful. Zama checks kingambit and tar for dragapult,SD Kingambit gets rid of defensive mons like heatran corv toxapex and other slower defensive mons while dragapult will kill or cripple any kingambit/zama check with +1 ghost z. Will-o pult was an idea i had when i was initially having trouble getting greater value out of pult against things like tar and gambit. it also helps with the zamazenta matchup. Then i wanted a good offensive fairy type so i went with calm mind mega diancie as the +1 moonblasts and earth powers have like no switch ins bar moltres and moltres dies to power gem. the magic bounce is also important as i didnt plan on having any hazard removal on this team and wanted atleast some way to deny hazards. i originally had :raging-bolt: on here but that scrub wasn’t putting in the work so i switched it out for volcarona which added a much needed fairy resistant and a way to deal with offensive priority attackers like msciz and kingambit via flame body. lando has been on the team since the beginning as the suicide lead of choice as its strong +2 earthquakes even make resists have a second thought. +2 boom ohko’s so many things like gliscor zapdos moltres rilla and other ground resist/immunitys.

Edit- i learned that tran now runs 40 speed ev’s to outspeed adamant kingambit so i changed the speed tier to outspeed corv instead

After reading several posts in National Dex forum, I got inspired by the idea of Snow Team ❄️(shoutout to the person who wrote it cuz I forgot) so I decided to craft my own one. Interestingly, it still have flaws such as Sticky Web + Gholdengo but it worked decent enough and I reached peak at 1831 elo.
As an offensive team, this team abuses Hypnosis + Encore to create attacking opportunities.
AV Lando is the true savior when it can withstand huge blows such as Zard Y’s Overheat or even an Ice-type Weather Ball of base Zard from full and then Rock Tomb back (check the replay below). The rest of the team is kinda self-explanatory. Hope you guys have fun !.

This list abuses wish to keep your walls and to a lesser extent, your finishers topped off. Double knock off offers a lot of utility and you can really grind you opponents down with hazard stacking/status effects.
cool team, but I would recommend darts and maybe even twave on pult as the team gets kinda cooked by volcarona otherwise. Glowking is not really the best answer. I find that darts twave pult is quite annoying for volc.

Surprisingly, I don't have overly much trouble with Volc... Charizard on the other hand is frequently a death sentence if sequencing doesn't allow for a weather switch with glowking.

I'll give the darts some real thought as meteor is like 50% chance to hit in real life ... I want will o wisp for all of the nasty physical threats in the format so I would have to find another way to fit that in potentially

:Kingambit::Dragapult::Iron Valiant::Charizard-Mega-Y::Great Tusk::Landorus-Therian: - Sample Submission

I initially made this team when Dragapult and Kingambit got unbanned as a result of the Tera ban, and went through several revisions as a result of feedback I'd received from other people. Initially the team featured:Iron Treads:, tank:Garchomp:, and Scarf:Tapu Lele:in place of:Great Tusk:,:Landorus-Therian:, and:Iron Valiant:. You may have seen a different version of this particular team lineup on ladder before, as I submitted the first version to Joey's wall a month ago, and it was featured in this video.

:Kingambit:: This guy and him getting unbanned was the main reason why I wanted to build a team for this meta. Pursuit and Knock give this mon insane progress-forcing properties that it doesn't (and frankly, shouldn't) have in regular OU, and I run AV on this Gambit so that it can come in on most frail special attackers and threaten them with the sadistic 50/50 of either getting smashed by Pursuit or having something come in on Knock and lose their item in addition to eating a huge chunk of damage. The 88 Spe EVs are there to outspeed min Spe Clefable, but lately I've been wondering if I could just put those on SpD instead.

:Dragapult:: The second reason why I built the team. I'd only heard stories of physical Ghostium-Z Pult's absolutely absurd nuking power beforehand, and the mon more than lived up to the hype IMO. Clear Body is there to nullify statdrops like Intimidate, and is fantastic insurance against Webs teams. The stat distribution is definitely a little greedy, but Dragapult has a surprisingly decent profile of type resists that allows it to come in on something and get the DDance that lets it outspeed everything except the most extreme of Scarf users. Darts is Pult's Dragon STAB of choice because it breaks Sash, Phantom Force/Never-Ending Nightmare is the one-time nuke that also... surprisingly works well on its own somehow? Fire Blast is there to wallop most Steel-types who want to come in on Pult, and it gets made even stronger in that case by the sun that gets set by the next guy...

:Charizard-Mega-Y:: Not much to say about this guy other than that they're an absurdly powerful breaker who smashes holes through damn near everything in the tier (except for Bulletproof dudes). Roost is there for longevity and to try and beat Kingambit's Sucker Punch mindgames if Zard-Y is ever facing that mon, Weather Ball is the STAB of choice that is also surprisingly adaptable in the event of a weather war, Solar Beam for the requisite Grass coverage, and Focus Blast to round out coverage (though it's mainly there to punish Tyranitar for coming in to turn off sun).

:Great Tusk:: The team's past Paradox of choice, mainly present for hazard control and to occasionally blast something into next week with Headlong + Ice Spinner if need be. EV'd specifically to get a Spe Protosynthesis boost so it can get the jump on nearly everything and Bulk Up is there in the event that Tusk does end up scaring something out so that it can boost itself and hit even harder. I tend to go back and forth between Leftovers and HDB for this mon.

:Iron Valiant:: Much like Zard-Y, there's not much to say about this guy. Special attacking Booster set with CM, Tbolt, MBlast as per usual, but instead of CC, Vacuum Wave is there to get the jump on certain mons and provide the team with some non-conditional priority.

:Landorus-Therian:: This was the most difficult guy to implement, as even though I know he's good, he was replacing Tankchomp, who I'd been having a pretty decent amount of success with on the first version of the team and generally like to pilot. Rocks and Defog were no-brainers, mainly because the team has absolutely zero hazard setters outside of him, and Defog is decent hazard control in the event that Tusk cannot get the spin off (though lately I've been wondering if I could get away with running one of Knock, U-Turn, or Toxic in place of Defog). Initially its two attacking moves were EQ and Knock, but I found myself getting run over by opposing Tusk more often than not, so I decided to make the switch to special Lando and run HP Ice and EP. EP handles Tusk far better than EQ does (plus 105 SpA isn't exactly terrible for general use) and HP Ice shreds Gliscor and opposing Lando-T. Helmet is there to punish U-Turn and has had tremendous synergy with Intimidate ever since 2011.

Team's obviously not perfect,:Moltres:in particular is incredibly annoying into it and it struggles vs Trick Room, but I hope you enjoy.

SAMPLE SUBMISSION - DOPPYSLOP TRADEMARK
MEGA SCIZOR + Z GARCHOMP HO
:scizor_mega: :garchomp: :serperior: :kingambit: :dragapult: :iron_moth:

:sv/scizor_mega:
ゆめうつつ (Scizor-Mega) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Dual Wingbeat

msciz is honestly a pretty solid HO pick imo. having reliable strong priority that isnt dependent on attacking like kgb and rbolt is super nice, and being able to immediately threaten mdia and weavile is greatly appreciated. with the departure of crown and the unreliability of kgb as a steel, msciz fills up that slot pretty well. cc hits kgb and tran dwb hits tusk and zama

:sv/garchomp:
DEATHCAMP (Garchomp) @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stealth Rock

a fantastic partner to sciz is garchomp, which can temporarily switch into threats like volcarona and chary while revenging rbolt and supporting the team with rocks, dragz is wonderful for nuking hindrances like lando tusk and mola

:sv/serperior:
最終列車は25時 (Serperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Hidden Power: Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Dragon Pulse
- Glare

again, serp synergizes with near every member of the team. it supports our slow breakers in kgb and garchomp with glare, which is annoying to chary volc and pult. it naturally threatens mola, and can heavily chip down streels like ferro/sciz/corv with hp fire. dpulse snipes rbolt and other dragons which can be clutch

:sv/kingambit:
A BOY IS A GUN* (Kingambit) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Low Kick

naturally kgb is huge for any HO. it checks pult which is pretty big while also threatening slowbro and forming a dual prio core w msciz. air balloon here allows us to immune some gliscor sets while also taking advantage of lando and tusk and effectively check rmoon. low kick allows us to hit opposing gambit and ohko rmoon. nothing big to be said here, team’s dark and great cleaner.

:sv/dragapult:
HYPERVENTILATION (Dragapult) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 52 Atk / 204 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Dragon Darts
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp

words cannot explain how goated this set is here. use it yourself, it will come in use every single game, simply insane. big thanks to ineros for putting me on.

:sv/iron_moth:
A都市の秋 (Iron Moth) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
- Substitute

fantastic, fire type on HO is greatly appreciated while also acting as speed control w the booster. typing also checks ival and soft switches into a lot such as locked lele and chary. dgleam allows us to snipe dragons like infil pult and kommo, and sub dodges tclap and sucker.

with any team and the new meta changes to nd recently, no team is going to be perfect and this has some rough mus and needs to be played aggressively.
:clodsire::diancie_mega: :heatran: :tapu_lele: (scarf)
clod stall(not real tbvh), mdia, tran, scarf lele are large issues but near the only bad mus for this team

huge ty to dewfew for helping me build and test, i should have many more replays but this team had like 6 different versions
use this team for reqs if you want to, happy laddering

IMPORTANT NOTE: This team may end up not being usable anymore if roaring moon remains banned
Hi yall, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm posting it anyways. This is a team I built and used to get the reqs for the rmoon suspect
IMG_20250130_205818.jpg

I'm quite lazy to do an extensive description of the team ngl, I just wanted to share it because I enjoyed laddering with it. I didn't think much when I built it, I just wanted to use rmoon so I just put a defensive core, an special attacker and the mega which gaves the immediate power and the speed factor to the team

I've been trying to get my old Scizor Rain team to work (same I used in Gen7) but I haven't quite figure that out yet. In the meantime, I've been using this standard scummy rain team. Its very much a Gen 7 with the goat Zapdos added.

Not much to say other than its very easy to pilot and gain elo. Manaphy breaks fat. Pert, Zapdos, and Urshifu-RS seem to beat everything else. All the mons (obv except Pelipper) are bulky and strong. And there is a lot of momentum so enjoy pivoting. Note you can run Psychic > Ice Beam on Manaphy if you really hate Pex but you should be okay.

This is the team that i got reqs with, and while i think it could defo be a little bit improved, i have had great succes with it the way it is.

:charizard-mega-y: :iron-treads: :garchomp: :dragapult: :enamorus: :terapagos:

While this team has no mon that directly benefits from the sun being up(except for boosting up mystical fire and flamethrower), i think the sinergy of the mons help pave the way for a very strong yard cleanup.

:enamorus: Enam+Yard is an absolutely goated combo, as Enam helps with beating down dragon types like Garchomp, and that speed tier is absolutely crazy, u outspeed scarf shifu and one shot it, you can 2 shot dengo with ep or mystical fire in the sun, you can clean up so many mons its not even funny.Healing Wish is good for those clutch end game moments where u need one of your guys healed back up on its feet.

:iron-treads: I might be crazy for saying this, but imo, treads is a better partener for yard than tusk.Treads is able to shrug off hits from mons that annoy yard like bolt and koko, can get up rocks up for free as they switch out, and in general is pretty good at taking hits, as steel ground is a pretty neat defensive typing.

:Garchomp: I had no idea how good spdef garchomp is. Eats hits from anything in the tier and deals back big dmg with eq. This mon helps u against the yard matchup, and can also act an emergency bolt counter. Just spreads toxics and puts pressure with spikes.

:terapagos: Glue mon. Glue Turtle.

:dragapult: This mon is probs gonna get sussed soon, the pressure it can put on the builder is insane and the fact u can mix up the dd z set with will-o is nastyyyyy

:charizard-mega-y: Just does its thing, u know what is up.

This team really hates Diancie, ur also a bit awkward into other yard teams but those are generally okay

its a basic mega diancie Urshifu team, peaked around 1800

major issue are mega char y, volcarona and any other meta fire type. roaring moon can be handle by lando t, zapdos and urshifu.

gholdengo has enough speed to outspeed opposing gholdengo. kingambit helps with more bulky team, knocking off item and agasint stall, trapping stuff like clod and blissey lando is there to make the opposing gambit matchup more better along with checking other physical mon. mega diancie is one of the best wallbreaker in the game along being a semi decent hazard denier.

Grassy DragMag Team

Hey Guys. I just made 2 new dragmag teams post tera. The teams idea was taken from a Sputnikk test team - Huge shoutout to him. His team had a Dragapult, Mega Latios, Magnezone, Kartana, Alolan Muk and Great Tusk. However, my first team is Mega Sceptile. Dragonite, Magnezone, Alolan Muk, Great Tusk and Kartana.

Mega Sceptile is standard 4 attacks with Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast and Giga Drain. Earthquake and Hidden Power Fire was side considerations but Giga Drain was good for recovery. I went for both personal reasons and also because it provided immediate speed control and threatened to ohko big names early like Koko, Dragapult, Kingambit and Mega Diancie and so on. It provides defensive utility too by blocking volt switch and twave. Dragonite is DD boots with 3 attacks of Wingbeat, EQ and Ice Spinner and boots for defensive utility. Magnezone in the first team is life orb because I didnt want to be locked into choice moves. It has volt switch, thunderbolt, flash canon and hidden power fire. Its main aim is to trap corv, ferrothorn, skarm, slower Mega Scizor and to an extent Kingambit. It also hits fairies hard. Alolan Muk is the pursuit trapper who can check Lele and Volcarona and other special attackers too with AV it has Gunk Shot, Knock Off, Pursuit and Fire Punch. Was considering rock slide to ohko zard y and its soft checks Zard Y. Kartana is normalium Z to kill Moltres and Zadpos after an SD alongside leaf blade and sacred sword. Great Tusk is stealth rocks and i felt 350 attack is sufficient for damage and put the rest in hp and a bit of spdef. My second team is similar with just Magenzone running electrium Z with Substitute and Ogeron-Cornerstone with SD, Horn Leech, Ivy Cudgel and Superpower. Sturdy provides defensive utility. I played some games one of my accounts and even on an old test of a cousin who doesnt play much anymore. I got to 1711 surprisingly with the rockpon team and 1667 with the Kartana team which is at least in top 500. The goal of the team is Magnezone trapping Corv,Skarm,Cele and Ferrothorn, Slower Mega Scizor and somewhat Kingambit. It facilitiates Dragonite and Mega Sceptile in the late game.

After a long breakdown from Pokémon in general I decided to come back and teambuild again, this time trying to perfect a balanced I've been working on for a long time, constantly trying to adapt it to the current meta. Featuring one of the best aging mons in history, of course I'm talking about Mega-Lopunny.

I normally decide to hit at least Top 300 on the ladder before sending teams but I was really excited for this one.
The Team

Roles

:lopunny_mega: Still an insane mon that can easily obliterate full teams if your opp got nothing to outspeed it or not bulky enough physical walls. I went for U-Turn instead of Triple Axel as you already got it on Weav (moreover, you got HP Ice with Koko) and I found it practically better, not only beacause of the momentum it provides but because it can also take on Ogerpon, Rillaboom and it is better than CC against Focus Sash Samurott. Can't forget about Fake Out priority to get chip damage or sometimes, block sweeps.

:moltres: Physical wall that helps a lot against non Stone Edge Lando-T sets and against Iron Treads, Great Tusk (Head Smash is pretty much unseen at this point) and most contact mons like Scizor or an opposing Lopunny. The set runs two attacks, which are Flamtehrower to threaten mons like Ferrothorn and occasionally Gholdengo, and U-Turn to pivot. If you are wondering, the 30 speed IVs are to pivot better against other Moltres. Keeping Defog and Roost, you can remove hazards and heal.

:clodsire: One of the most reliable walls in this gen, which manages to check most special attackers. It can set hazards and chip gradually with Toxic, and it is also able to heal itself. I went for Water Absorb instead of Unaware as it helps a lot against Alomo or Urshifu, and luckily catch off-guard Samurott or Greninja.

:tapu_koko: Really fast, threatens Alomo, Samurott, and also Gliscor, Landorus and Garchomp thanks to Hidden Power Ice. I wanted to run Expert Belt which works wonders in most of Koko's rolls but I found prior in Boots. It can also pivot and heal back from chip damage it could have received to last longer.

:alomomola: Physical wall instead of mixed as mons like Lopunny can eventually break through and ruin your game. It pivots, chips and stalls with Toxic and Wishtect and heals back additional HP with Regenerator.

:weavile: Great offense, knocks off Items, snipes thanks to pursuit and has priority with Ice Shard. I was wondering if running Low Kick for Melmetal and Kingambit or Swords Dance. Finally, I found more utility on Pursuit as it helps a lot against Slowking-Galar and to secure kills. I noticed a lack of Gambits and Melmetals so I gave up on conserving Low kick, and I never found good times to set up.

Conclusion

Overall, if you're good at reads this is your team, be careful against getting your win conditions burned and show the best of your ability against scarf mons. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the team.
