Bronzong has been a defensive staple of the tier for a long time now, which rose to prominence in the Cresselia meta. It's a versatile support with a wide array of coverage moves, incredible defensive typing and ability, and can even be a terrifying setup threat with its double dance Stored Power set! There's a lot of potential hiding within this bronze bell's bulky blue body, how do YOU plan to unleash it?

Submissions Due March 31st, 8pm EST
SR + IronPress / 3 Attacks
Standard "Demon Zong" (ID + BP + CM + Stored Power) @ Leftovers

WP Trick Room Sweeper

:sv/bronzong:

Bronzong @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Heatproof
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpA
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Tera Blast

This set flips your opponent's expectations of Bronzong on its head by becoming an extremely threatening Trick Room sweeper! Thanks to your great natural bulk, Weakness Policy is easy to activate safely and boost the damage of Stored Power to incredible heights. I used this set on a Grassy Terrain team with the Heatproof ability make use of the chip heal (we're grounded!) and take reduced damage from Earthquake and Fire-type moves to activate weakness policy while barely taking a scratch! Tera Blast Ground can be used to deal with all of NU's Dark-types like Alolan Muk, Incineroar, and Overqwil, which are immune to Stored Power. The EV spread is nothing too precise, but some investment in Physical Defense is advisable, as we're able to boost Special Defense with Calm Mind.

Trick Scarf Zong
:sv/bronzong:
Bronzong @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 120 SpD / 40 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Trick
- Psychic Noise
- Body Press

The main point of this set is to trick a scarf onto and cripple some walls, but there are a couple funny use cases for keeping your scarf as well. With minimal investment you can speed creep vaporeon (and also therefore the other mons that speed creep vapo as well.) This lets you fully stop wish from going off with psychic noise assuming they aren't running cloak in 2025 for some reason. It also makes you faster than spdef incin. This spread either 3 shots incin with body press, or you can click regular body press into tera fight body press to lure/remove incin for a teammate. Tera fight isn't normally seen on bronzong but you still get the dark resist you would normally get from fairy and maintain your rocks resistance. They shouldn't be expecting zong to ever outspeed! Outside of that its just a normal bronzong. I would recommend running a little more speed than this to make sure you don't get out crept, but I'll let you guys decide on your own speed to hit. 40 speed is the lowest you can be, and take more out of spdef (and not physdef) to maintain the incin calcs.

100 Def Bronzong Body Press vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Incineroar: 158-186 (40.2 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
100 Def Tera Fighting Bronzong Body Press vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Incineroar: 236-278 (60 - 70.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Bronzong @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Ice Spinner
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Trick
you opponent thinks bronzong is just a passive mon that sets up rocks and mildly annoying things with psychic noise? SEND THEM TO THE SHADOW REALM!!! gyro ball will do loads to anything fast and ice + ground coverage has always been quite potent, with trick to disrupt random set up.
252+ Atk Choice Band Bronzong Gyro Ball (131 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Flygon: 328-387 (108.9 - 128.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Bronzong Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. +1 252 HP / 204 Def Oricorio-Pa'u: 216-255 (61 - 72%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:zonger: VOTING :zonger:

Please reply with your favorite Bronzong set from this week! Our entrants are:

WP Trick Room by Shengineer
Trick Scarf by LessThanThreeMan
Choice Band by Diamonds_realm

Voting will be open through Thursday evening EST.

S3W5: le monke
:sv/munkidori:
Munkidori is renowned as the tier's best Choice Scarfer, known for its ability to spread poisons throughout your team (but your Munki rarely does the same). There's a whole lot more we can do with this pokemon, though, like Grassy Terrain sets, Specs, Future Sight pivots, Trick shenanigans, and more! This week we'll go where no ape has gone before.

Submissions are due Friday, April 18 at 7:00pm EST

Choice Scarf
That's it
Be creative though please

I'm the biggest defender of AV Munki there is.

Ofc there are very specific comps that it works. But in the right team it's very good.

First of all you need Wish support and some way of capitalizing the spreading of poison either with stall or using hax.

:sv/Munkidori: @ Assault Vest
Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Fake Out
- Psychic
- Focus Blast

Max speed is a must and you can go for various combinations of bulk but this one took 50 from a neutral Diancie Meteor Beam.

Focus Blast was at the time to hit Regi and Copper, Zong wasnt a thing. Can go Future Sight and Sludge wave too.

I won with it in NUPL XII. Setting toxic so Umbreon and Lugg could stall you out or put you in range of Krook sweep

NP Adrenaline Orb

:ss/munkidori:
Munkidori @ Adrenaline Orb
Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Sludge Wave
- Tera Blast
- Shadow Ball / Psychic / Grass Knot

Pretty simple. This set acts as a lure to Incineroar to get a speed boost with Adrenaline Orb(or another Intimidate mon), with Tera Ground being able to hit it super effectively, as well as other Pokemon such as Alolan Muk, Copperajah, Klefki,Diance, and Overqwil. Shadow Ball hits Bronzong super effectively, though you could use Psychic if you use this on a team that can effectively deal with Bronzong. You could even do Grass Knot if you want a way to eliminate Gastrodon and Swampert, as well as Basculegion even if you don't use Shadow Ball or Psychic for the last slot:

+2 252 SpA Munkidori Grass Knot (60 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 428-508 (100.4 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Munkidori Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Swampert: 540-636 (133.6 - 157.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hello!

Haven't posted a set before yet, and wanted to give one a go. Inspired by the line Shengineer put in about Grassy Terrian, so I give you Stored Power Munki:

:diancie::Cinccino::Torterra::Thwackey::Munkidori::Arcanine:

:ss/munkidori:
Munkidori @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball/Focus Blast/Grass Knot

I pretty much just took the Grassy Terrain Sample team, threw Munki on it instead of Oricorio, and just let it rip. Found that it works pretty well with its natural high speed & SpA, and once you get a calm mind up it starts doing damage.

If I had more time I would've experimented more with whether or not to just throw stored power out in favor of Psychic, but the few times I got more than 1 CM up it was game over. The final move slot I moved around a lot, and those are the three I used at different points. Grass knot is probably the worst option of the bunch, and Shadow Ball is for Zong cause it walls without it.

Don't have any calcs because I just wanted to give it a shot, and had a blast with it

Trick Sludge

munkitroll.png

Munkidori @ Black Sludge
Ability: Toxic Chain
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic Noise
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Trick

This bulky set is super annoying yet also good, and I used it back in NUCL. The primary use of this set is to lure in Steel-types and trick them your Black Sludge, assisting teammates that struggle with Steel-types like Calm Mind Sylveon. Fake Out gives a chance to activate Toxic Chain while stalling for Black Sludge Recovery. Psychic Noise shuts down healing attempts from the likes of Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Porygon2. U-turn lets you pivot out of bad matchups with an additional chance to Poison. Tera Flying should only be used once you are rid of Black Sludge, but it can come in clutch versus Earthquake users like Flygon and Swampert.

Glad you could join us, Sunnny! Now that I've totally submitted my set on time, we can commence the voting!!!

Ballot:

Assault Vest by Be13costa (would it be NBT without an AV?)
NP Adrenaline Orb by Zangoose5000
Grassy CM by Sunnny
Trick Sludge by Shengineer

Please rank your Top 3 sets! Votes will be counted Wednesday.
