Tournament name: Lower Tier World Cup
Projected Deadline (Sign-Up thread goes live): June 9th
Art Direction: The mascot is Litwick so we would like it to be central in some ways. As its a World Cup, having a globe or a map would also be mandatory as well as the name of the tour (can also just be LTWC). Other than that, you're pretty free to do whatever looks good to you. We thought about using the Litwicks' flames to display the letters LTWC or just have the Litwicks light up the globe for instance. You can contact me on Smogon or Discord (rarelyme) if you have any questions!

Premise:
In Battle Fields, any battlefield condition with a timer becomes permanent once activated, unless directly replaced, removed, or reversed. This includes all effects that apply to one side of the field, both sides, or the entire battlefield. Specifically, the following conditions become permanent:
  • Weather (e.g. Sun, Rain, Sandstorm, Snow)
  • Terrain (Grassy, Electric, Psychic, Misty)
  • Room effects (Trick Room, Wonder Room, Magic Room)
  • Gravity
  • Screens (Reflect, Light Screen, Aurora Veil)
  • Tailwind
  • Safeguard
  • Mist
  • Quick Guard
  • Wide Guard
  • Magnetic Flux
  • Fairy Lock

Premise explained above.

I'd like to lean into the concept of weather, terrain and room/misc wars which is to be expected in the metagame. I was picturing a rectangle split horizontally into three equal sized, flat rectangles. Then, the larger rectangle is split across its center, creating six boxes in 2x3 structure. Each horizontal rectangle would represent the major battle field conditions rivaling against eachother. So the top box could have Torkoal facing of with Pelipper, perhaps flanked by some prominent abusers (Venusaur, Kingdra etc.). The second level could then be terrain, with Rillaboom and Indeedee - flanked by their best abusers (Sneasler is banned though, so maybe not them). Perhaps Hawlucha and Iron Crown? For the last rectangle I think Trick Room vs Tailwind could be nice, but this could also be gravity or any of the other arena condition with is permanent. The background for each of the boxes/sides should be battle field condition they represent. So sun behind torkoal, rain for pelipper, etc.

Most of the BF conditions outside of terrain/weather aren't clear rivals. So if you're struck by creative lightning figure out an interesting way to showcase multiple of these conditions at once that would be interesting. It could be trick room vs tailwind, but with each setter also having reflect/light screen up. I don't know. You could do it in one of the ways I suggest or go your own way with it, I'll be thrilled regardless.
