So you want to start off with Mega Manectric on the field and then volt turn to Incineroar and rack some intimdates up. Chien Pao takes care of most of Manectric's weaknesses and since this Mega Manectric is modest, I decided to use Tailwind with Tornadus. Tornadus has taunt to prevent trick room, while Incineroar also has taunt in case there is psychic terrain or the opponent has Farigiraf. Flutter Mane is mostly there to try to take advantage of Intimdate Drops and Tailwind to start sweeping, with choice specs making it more of a threat. Ursaluna kills the electrics the rest of the team might struggle with and with the Normalium Z, it can dish out huge amounts of damage.

:ninetales-alola: :kyurem-black: :iron hands::diancie::Blastoise::Salamence mega:
The one good Natdex team I've built over the last few months. When Voltix knocked me out of seasonal, I noticed that snow has a very good matchup into this metagame, Kyurem-Black OHKOs 9/14 mons in Tiers 1 & 2 at +1 and no one preps for it. I didn't act upon the feeling at the time as I was no longer in a nd tournament but when I saw Eragon had 20% Landorus-I usage the idea returned to my mind. Iron Hands was an easy add, it's one of the best sweepers in the tier and removes pesky steels. I opted for double stab rather than Fire/Ice punch because the team was Fini weak, and I had a ton of hate for Amoonguss/Sinistcha already. Diancie was added because I was scared of getting overwhelmed by Torn Offenses, and as a Sun answer. Once I had that four Blastoise was a natural add, it lets my three sweepers set up safely and owns the ever present Stak. Mence is probably the most droppable member of the team, it got added because it provided Tailwind and Intimidate, and because running no megas makes me feel icky.
This isn't the most optimized team ever but I'm posting it anyway to encourage people to look into Snow. I think it is very powerful and could produce many strong teams if explored.

Hello world, this is gonna be my first ever post that isn't like "in" or "won ggs" so hopefully this is functional (I don't know what I'm doing)

NDBD
I had a pretty disappointing NDBD where i didn't play my best and spent most of it trying to catch up to a rapidly developing meta while being largely out of the loop of all the cookery happening behind the scenes, still s/o redgoop and dbd for buying me, even tho I wasn't able to put up a good score I had fun and learned a lot

W1 was just a default sun team, not that many thoughts on it, just wanted something generically strong and easy to play (not my team so no paste)

W2 vs Voltix
This week I was a fair bit more involved w teambuilding, the general idea was that into arty's scout fini and mence especially looked really strong so I wanted him to bring some sort of arch rain to counter that, the first draft ended up looking pretty similar to goth rain comps later in the tour funnily enough, but the actual final team ended up pretty different going in a kyub direction to try catch mons in that vein in a different direction
:gothitelle: :politoed: :archaludon: :salamence-mega: :basculegion: :rillaboom: first draft
(final team is not mine again so no paste)

W3 vs Jello
From here on out I was starting so I generally have more structured thoughts on what the teams are meant to counter and just generally do. At this point in time I was very convinced that ghold solved a meta that at least from what I saw at the time was moving towards pao mence or stak fini hands semiroom comps both of which it sits on very hard so I wanted to build something around it. The team aims to keep offensive pressure and allow my clickers to safely press buttons
:gholdengo: :entei: :jirachi: :rillaboom: :chien-pao: :salamence-mega:

W4 vs xqiht
This week ngl I was very tapped out of after getting my wisdom teeth out a few days before, eventually just decided to copy an eragon team from invis that seemed good without putting much further thought into it and got punished pretty hard for subpar prep and play
:incineroar: :diancie: :amoonguss: :landorus: :salamence-mega: :flutter-mane:

W5 vs eragon
Eragon had been using like pretty much exclusively semiroom in invis so I decided to try beat that with a semiroom of my own and a pretty hard comfort pick (unfortunately a pretty outdated comfort pick as it turns out) that aimed to catch the high flutter, mmence, incin and lando usage with gambit in particular. General aim is to hit some reads, get one of the 2 setup wincons into position and press buttons until everything is dead. This team is probably getting increasingly outdated because of the shift towards goth (a lot of the mons are goth fodder which eragon took advantage of) among other things.
:kingambit: :landorus: :jirachi: :tapu fini: :rillaboom: :salamence-mega:

W6 vs foods
With the rise of goth and given my lack of sun usage for probably the last like 6 months lol I decided to have some fun and load up the same goth sun team that xq clapped me with a few weeks ago. Sun needs no introduction, just has endless very pressy buttons that are very hard to switch into. The team I loaded in the end was unfortunately a pretty bad version of the full potential of goth sun due to lack of experience with both goth and sun in building and playing, but it is what it is
:charizard-mega-y: :flutter-mane: :raging bolt: :rillaboom: :stakataka: :gothitelle: what I loaded (we don't talk about the yard set)
:charizard-mega-y: :flutter-mane: :raging bolt: :rillaboom: :stakataka: :gothitelle: what could've been

W7 vs farfromani
Pretty standard rain team that aimed to catch out their general lack of the highest speed tier that would allow things like koko and basc to press many buttons and occasional lack of tr coverage, i think if i were to rebuild the team I'd change the mence set, esp without better support dd is very ambitious but idt tw is that great either cause of how the 3 mons that could benefit from tw probably already just outspeed everything and my other 3 mons are slow as bricks so they can't really benefit from it. The main problem I had while trying to build was just getting all of the potential components of rain onto one team, wanted to run arch pretty badly but didn't want to dedicate enough support for it to make it actually a good mon
:stakataka: :basculegion: :iron hands: :tapu koko: :politoed: :salamence-mega:

Invis
My thoughts here are gonna be a lot less detailed and targeted cause of how I scout and cteam a lot less aggressively for individual tours (maybe that's what I need to do in teamtours lol) and just generally load what I think is good and/or funny at the time. (disclaimer: these teams are now pretty old and probably outdated and also idr my reasons for bringing some things exactly)

vs Schister
:salamence-mega: :marshadow: :rillaboom: :incineroar: :celesteela: :tapu fini: yeah idr lol, this team in particular is very outdated
:kartana: :chien pao: :kingambit: :tapu fini: :gouging fire: :salamence-mega: aimed to catch pretty defensive cores with only phys stopping being intim
:wo-chien: :salamence-mega: :gholdengo: :jirachi: :tapu fini: :incineroar: built during my 'ghold is the messiah' arc
vs Logice
I had played 2 games vs Jello the week prior and got immensely cooked by mawile so I wanted to use it
:mawile-mega: :chien pao: :diancie: :raging bolt: :kartana: :incineroar:
:rillaboom: :stakataka: :xurkitree: :volcanion: :kangaskhan-mega: :chien pao:
:mawile-mega: :volcanion: :raging bolt: :tornadus: :landorus: :rillaboom:

vs McBruh
I had some fire cteams prepped (here they are) that I didn't get to use and instead played badly and loaded bad teams
:mew: :rillaboom: :iron hands: :kangaskhan mega: :tapu fini: :jirachi:
:farigiraf: :ferrothorn: :tapu fini: :diancie: :okidogi: :salamence-mega:
:okidogi: :chien-pao: :gouging fire: :tornadus: :tapu fini: :rillaboom:

Shoutouts
I wouldn't be here, able to throw games in the largest tours, without all the testers and friends who helped me. Massive shoutout to Sunrose (ty for all the games and chat), Wesleyy (manager of first teamtour in ndfl, pretty much learned the tier to support), Test Bots, Daepiquejt, Penter, shadekirby321, ARTYMASION and any other testgamers i've forgotten (sorryyyy), yall are goats

lmk if anything is wrong or not working with this post I once again do not know what I'm doing
This tier is so peak, let's hope for another good year

(This is my first ever post on this site so mb if it doesn't work.) Simple team, Simple making. Looked for a decent Meteor Beam + Power Herb user found Deoxys with Expanding Force then went for the most common Psychic Terrain setter (Indeedee). After that I added two strong mons I like (Dragonite and Kangaskhan) but then the team looked too bland so I added some spice (Swamp). For play it's simple, Big guy click big attack(or Priority) and Fake Out. Thngs of note: The team has only one REALLY bad lead (Indeedee and Dragonite). The best leads (In my opinion) are Dragonite + Rillaboom, Rillaboom + Primarina, and Deoxys + Indeedee.

This team is not ideal and I'll explain why in a bit, but you're off to a good start. You seem to understand which pokemon are viable in this meta. However, what you need to work on is the synergy of the team. Normally, you wouldn't want any other terrain setters if you were to use Deoxys. The same can be said for your priority move users; they don't want psychic terrain to be active. What I recommend is to use just of these archetypes, psy spam or priority spam.

Regarding your sets, they're not optimal. In this meta, Deoxys-A is better than regular Deoxys due to its higher damage output. Deoxys-A is a glass, meaning it will get OHKO'd by basically any attack and the chances of that happening is greater in doubles than that of singles. This is always why Deoxys-A is equipped with Focus Sash. Meteor Beam is not necessary since you can Tera it for more STAB damage anyways. Indeedee-F does not require Ally Switch either because it fulfills the same role as Follow Me, but worse.
Now, I'll talk about your other pokemon. Pledge moves may seem cool, but they're not reliable. You require both users to be out at the same time, meaning you will have less flexibility with your strategies. Rillaboom is best used as a bulky scouter; I recommend adding U-turn over Grass Pledge. Next, I recommend using Tapu Fini over Primarina because it has a better overall stats. If you're worried about Tapu Fini's damage output, you can equip Choice Specs. Finally, Kangaskhan would want Sucker Punch to deal with a lot of the faster pokemon in this format, and Dragonite would want Tera Normal to increase the damage of Extreme Speed. (Actually, you would want Tera on all your Pokemon that are not Mega or holding a Z-crystal.) Note that Earthquake has reduced damage when Grassy Terrain is up.

quick dump after zee beat my ass this week

:blaziken-mega:
lava chicken!
built this team a while ago w. the help of oomf iPetBigfoot (with minor edits by LogIce) brought it every single week except for the last one & i have to say it served me really well with wins against test bots, sealife, voltix, & jello
original version
fm version
basically the conceit of the team was around the classic Blaziken + Bisharp combo featured in 2018, as me & bigfoot thought it would be pretty fun to bring it back in SV! the original core came together pretty quickly, with Iron Hands being used to cycle Fake Out & damage, Sash Lando-I being chosen for rocks utility & raw damage, Fini being chosen to lay down damage & change terrain, and torn being used as both a consistent Z user & bulky tw setter. LogIce suggested misty seed gambit, which allowed it to serve as an even more effective sweeper when paired with fini and was a really great meta call at the time.

after getting some inspiration from eragon & speaking w. Voltix the idea of flutter mane was a great one: it basically deals way more raw damage than Fini which turned out to be a lot more useful in practice against MMence and Iron Hands especially. Lando-T was also chosen over the original Lando-I as a harder Iron Hands check & generally just bc Intimidate was rly useful across the board.

really happy with how the team turned out, enjoy & thank you to everyone who helped along the way! rly happy with how my first ever NDDOU tournament & team went

Hi all,
I recently built a team for Natdex Doubles and it was fun to use so I want to share it here.

Team paste here: https://pokepast.es/38fd041768d21d36
(I originally made this team in level 50 because it was made for a theoretical Pokemon Champions VGC format. For this reason, some of the EVs might look weird like Dragonite's and Raging Bolt's.)

I took inspiration for this team from the Blaziken + Bisharp compositions that were popular in the 2018 VGC season as well as the hyper offensive priority spam teams that were popular in VGC in late 2023 (Regulation E). I peaked at 1906 on ladder with a 94.5% GXE with this team and encourage people to give feedback to make it even better.

ndd_gxe.png

The team uses a lot of strong physical attackers paired with Chien-Pao for the highest degree of damage output. Dragonite alone tore through a lot of the teams I faced, especially balance ones. This team was very bad against psyspam teams though, especially ones that could handle Kingambit. (I battled someone who had tera fighting blast Iron Crown and it one shot my Kingambit on a high roll, lol). Ice spinner Chien-Pao somewhat alleviates the problem but a lot of these teams had 2 terrain setters and/or Incineroar to take the hit easily and pressure fake out thanks to me removing the terrain. Psyspam teams were the only ones that I lost to that I can remember in all of my laddering with this team.

If I were to change anything on the team, I'd give Amoonguss tera fairy (to wall calm mind raging bolt) or tera dark (which is better vs psyspam and blocks prankster moves). I'd also give Kingambit iron head over swords dance because Diance was annoying to face.

Replays of me using the team if anyone is interested in seeing how it's played (I didn't save too many, sorry):
