5* Raids for Shiny Treasures of Ruin

The script honestly doesn't seem that bad?
No setup, pretty easy to wall since only coverage is unstabbed Stone Edge / Heavy Slam, just have to not get trolled by the 2 scripted ruinations.

Detailed raid script from https://stevecooktu.github.io/sv_raid_lookup/. As usual, main highlights from this are just the exact raid time (320 seconds/just above 5 minutes but lower than Wo-Chien's), and 30% HP worth of shield to break through, though the shield comes in slightly later on time than Chien-Pao but still pretty early at 48s (I would say about turn 2). A 20x HP multiplier instead of 25x is another mercy, as well as being light on dangerous actions or setup.

Very straightforward; spam Leaf Storm a bunch to procure a bunch of boosts, using Giga Drain in between for healing. Ability Shield will be nice to keep Contrary on player stat reset turns, especially if Ting-Lu uses that a lot like Wo-Chien did. I can see Snarl being used a bit, so Contrary will be nice to keep the momentum against that. Gastro Acid turns Vessel of Ruin off, and Reflect gives your team a safety net vs Ting-Lu’s physical moves.

:Lurantis:
Lurantis @ Ability Shield
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Pollen Puff
- Worry Seed

Slightly stronger than Serperior and mostly does the same thing, but instead of Reflect, Pollen Puff heals allies if they’re low.

Ability: Seed Sower
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Reflect
- Pollen Puff
- Helping Hand

Provides Grassy Terrain, weakening Tera Ground Earthquake and boosting everyone’s Grass moves. Also has Pollen Puff ally healing, Helping Hand, and Reflect for the team.
Might not be a bad idea to run Wide Lens on your Leaf Storm bots. So far, Ting-Lu resets stats twice, ime. And with how bulky it is, an unlucky miss or two can be annoying with how bulky Ting-Lu is. My Serperior used up all of its max PP Leaf Storm.
 
Well so much for my theory. Maybe they were hoping it would get to 3 mil but decided it was getting a bit late (plus it's Friday) so published it now. Guess we'll see if this gives everyone a second wind to push to at least the same numbers as last time or this is a sign people are already getting fatigued.

Though, many people will likely be turning on their game to get the new World Champion Farigiraf. If people go "eh, I guess if I have the game on I'll do some Shiny ToR Raid" that could be a nice boost to the numbers.
Fatigue could be a factor, but it's also possible a lot of people were checking on Worlds or playing other stuff. I know Go is REALLY ramping up on content for August's Max Out Finale with Eternatus and preceding events, plus Go Battle Weekend for Worlds tie-in. All this to say a lot of Pokemon fans may be putting their time into other aspects for a bit contributing to a slower tail end on Chien-Pao and a longer start on Ting-Lu (also probably affected by them having more time-consuming/tricky gimmicks than Wo-Chien to farm around)
 
For Ting-Lu, this has been the mon I use for solo and for teams and it has been completely risk-free, even when I have been unlucky enough to get hit with Ruination twice. This mon is damn near perfect to beat this raid:

Torterra @ Metronome
Tera Type: Grass
Ability: Shell Armor
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Defense
- Seed Bomb
- Grassy Terrain
- Worry Seed
- Swords Dance

Torterra effectively resists all of Ting-Lu's meaningful attacks and takes less than 10% damage from everything Ting-Lu throws at it. It straight up resists Stomping Tantrum and Stone Edge, and because Torterra weighs a lot, neutral non-STAB Heavy Slam is only 60BP so it's practically resisted as well. Snarl is a joke at low BP, no STAB, and coming from Ting-Lu's craptastic base 55 SpAttack stat, so it doinks just like everything else Ting-Lu has in its arsenal. And because of Shell Armor, Torterra doesn't get critted by Stone Edge (or anything else for that matter). And even if a crit happens on the ability wipe turn, it still does piddling damage so Torterra really DGAF anyway lol.

Because Torterra is Ground type, it also doesn't take any chip damage when Ting-Lu sets up Sandstorm in the early going. And even if Torterra gets pounded with Ruination, because everything else can't possibly do any meaningful damage, AND it gets immediately healed anyway by Grassy Terrain, Torterra barely notices Ting-Lu's attacks even in the worst luck situations. Torterra is basically invulnerable in this raid and pretty much stays at 100% health the entire battle.

The playbook goes like this:
- Turn 1 do Worry Seed if you are online with Special Attacking teammates and want to help them out by removing the Ruin ability depressing their SpAttacks.
- After Worry Seed, or on Turn 1 if you didn't Worry Seed, just set Grassy Terrain to help yourself and every Grass-mon do more damage and to give healing to the group as well
- Hit the boss or do a Cheer or whatever as you wait around for the player stat reset at 80% timer
- Swords Dance three times to max your attack
- Reset the Grassy Terrain when it goes away
- Now go Tera and spam Seed Bomb repeatedly for the rest of the battle until it's gg

With Tera Grass, max Attack, the full Metronome multiplier, and Grassy Terrain in effect - each Seed Bomb is doing upwards of 1,300% damage to Ting-Lu, so the boss will go down pretty quickly after you kick into attack mode. I don't even bother resetting the Grassy Terrain a 3rd time or boosting my Attack again after the second stat wipe, because it's usually the endgame anyway, and with only Tera and the max Metronome multiplier, you are still doing 330% damage to Ting-Lu, which is plenty to finish off the raid.

Yeah, Torterra is pretty much perfect for this raid. It's good to go for solos and for good online random teams as well.

Unsurprisingly, God is good for this raid. Basically used the exact same Arceus spread from the Chien-Pao raid, just modified for the Ting-Lu matchup. Acid Spray pairs well with the Contrary Leaf Storm bots, especially if they use Worry Seed or Gastro Acid beforehand. Giga Drain for healing if hit by Ruination, and Judgment is a damn nuke. Grassy Terrain is mostly there for filler, but it helps all the grass-types deal more damage and counteract the sandstorm chip.

Edit: Grass Knot has 20 more BP vs Ting-Lu than Judgment, so use that instead.

Edit 2: Been trying Covert Cloak with regular Arceus and find it to be more consistent. Don’t have to worry about Snarl SpA drops then.

Lvl 75 0 Atk Tera Ground Ting-Lu Stomping Tantrum (150 BP, in the event of a Snarl or Stone Edge Miss) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Smeargle through Reflect: 115-136 (36.6 - 43.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Smeargle's been a pretty good support for me. Decorate's the #1 reason to use it, hella accelerating the raid when used on strong attackers like Ogerpon, Arceus, and Kyogre. You can even use it on Contrary Serperior and Lurantis on the player stat reset turn. Reflect boosts the party's defense, especially for Smeargle since it's naturally frail. Life Dew and its clones provide party healing.

Mist is the cool tech, though. It prevents Snarl stat drops for the party. This is good for Special Attackers that don't have Contrary. This pairs very well with Decorate, since SpA Decorate recipients won't lose their SpA boosts. Even for physical attackers that don't care about the SpA drop (unless they have Defiant), not having to sit through those few seconds of stat dropping is nice.
 
So I won with a Sylveon with grass type tera and tera blast XD

Like I think everyone else was carrying me a bit at the start but when the metronome item got going it really wasn’t that hard a raid.
Update:

Just for fun I tried this on my own just out in Paldea (not an online raid, using CPU allies). I actually won. Like, really surprised. More difficult than online but metronome and a high special attack user just spamming grass moves and grass tera is working.

It shouldn’t work, but it does!

I've been using this build for farming this raid and I can 100% vouch for it. In one of the raids, I got hit with a Ruination twice, yet I was never actually in danger of dying. Ting-Lu was just doing absolutely pitiful damage. I have, however also come up with a few builds of my own.

Ability: Competitive/Marvel Scale

Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Tickle
- Helping Hand
- Life Dew
I had the idea to use Ting-Lu's Snarl debuffs against it instead of just avoiding them entirely. I settled on two builds, one of them being this support Milotic. This is basically just idiot-proofing the raid at this point, with Scald and Tickle making Ting-Lu do miniscule damage and Life Dew healing your allies. The original idea was to use a Competitive build to boost your Scald's damage a tad bit, so I've left it there as an option, even if I do think Marvel Scale is probably better.
Turn 1 you should probably use Tickle, and then spam Scald while the shield is up and everyone is setting up.

:Virizion:Virizion @ Shell Bell
Ability: Justified
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Synthesis
- Swords Dance
Virizion is also a fairly riskless build, resisting everything except Heavy Slam, but even then, crit Heavy Slam is only a 0.1% chance to 3HKO, assuming that all three Heavy Slams crit. Synthesis is there in case you REALLY need it, but I doubt it's necessary.
Overall, Torterra is still probably a more accesible and reliable build (Torterra has higher attack and Grassy Terrain boosts, for instance), but I think Justified is an ability that has potential, especially with how dumb the AI of 5 star raids is.

Grass Ogerpon was another option I considered, but it just takes too much damage from Heavy Slam and needs support. Maybe a Metronome Horn Leech set could be an idea for solo? Idk.
 
I’ve seen quite a few grass ogerpons this week and every one of them seemed to be spamming the same moves, so I would guess like me and tera grass Sylveon, we’re just spamming metronome item plus appropriate moves at this point.

Sure. I feel like Metronome + Horn Leech combo should get you the win more often than not and base Ogerpon is probably the best 'mon for the task (really though, most of them look fine for the application). With that said though, here's my alternative suggestion to farm this raid as efficiently as possible (same criteria as my picks for the Wo-Chien and Chien-Pao raids, feel free to check my previous posts in this thread for a refresher)

Mostly self-explanatory. Pinch berry + Ripen is generally more consistent recovery than hitting it with Shell Bell through shield and resets (and Hustle is kinda ass for consistency purposes, so we opt out of that). Recycle can be used in a pinch (haha get it), but it's generally not necessary. Damage output is consistent enough to solo but you're also supporting all the Horn Leech guys (and other physical attackers) on top of that which is kinda neat

Flapple might be my favorite Ting-Lu support right now. I wouldn't undersell Acid Spray. I think it's a staple for online play. With how many mixed attacking lobbies you run into, such as Leaf Storm bots + Ogerpon, being able to lower both defensive stats is a very rare and phenomenal quality.
 

Chien-Pao's raid victories (5,020,994) were announced via a Pokemon.com article earlier today that currently links to a 404 now. Not sure what's up with that but there's no word from the Japanese side either as far as I can tell.

Also seems like they still don't know exactly what tera shards will be distributed yet, compared to Wo-Chien's article currently correctly mentioning them.
